More than a couple of weeks had passed since the Avengers had come to Xavier's Institute.
The initial chaos of their arrival had settled into a strange kind of routine. The Avengers had become part of the daily life of the school.
Kakashi and Natasha were training and helping the X-Men fight better and helped the young kids control their power better.
They spent most mornings in the training room. Kakashi worked with the X- men mostly. He showed them how to move with purpose. How to read an opponent's stance. How to strike efficiently. How to defend without wasting energy.
Natasha focused on the younger ones. About how to carefully use their abilities but effectively.
Tony and Banner were mostly with Hank. Banner was busy learning more about mutants, their history and all he could find about their biology. He believed that it might have a hint to his own Hulk's transformation.
He spent hours in Hank's lab. They pored over DNA samples. Compared mutant gene sequences to Banner's own altered cells.
Tony was busy understanding some of the technology that this Earth had that lacked on their original Earth as well as new metals specifically Adamantium that made Logan's claws and spine and was according to Tony equal to vibranium.
Kakashi wanted to take some small Adamantium with him to his original earth as something of a souvenir for Carl since with him being able to absorb Adamantium properties, he would become much more powerful.
He had asked Hank about it. Hank had hesitated at first. Adamantium was rare. But after seeing how the Avengers had helped the school, he had agreed. He gave Kakashi a small thin shard of the metal.
Speaking about Logan, the man had hit it off with Cap despite their different personalities. It seemed that Logan knew Cap of this world and had served with him in the army during World War Two.
He had lost his memories of that time and speaking with Cap helped him retain some of them. The two were often drinking out and telling each other stories of their own experience in World War Two.
Speaking of hitting it off, Kakashi had also hit it off with Pietro. The man was of similar age to him, just a couple years younger.
Kakashi had become quite good friends with him. And considering Kakashi was not quite the social one and was not the sort to make friends, it was quite a miracle.
You might wonder how this happened?
Well, and it was a collection of good porn and some of the best Playboy magazines that made the two silver haired folks friends.
Pietro had found Kakashi one night in the library. Kakashi had been reading one of his hidden romance books. Pietro had been looking for something to read. He had seen the cover. His eyes had lit up. He had asked if Kakashi had more. Kakashi had hesitated.
Then shrugged. He had shared his hidden stash with him that he took everywhere with him. They had spent hours talking about plot twists, character development, and "artistic merit."
And Pietro had shared his own stash of porn videos with him.
And currently the two were discussing a related topic.
Quicksilver asked, "Did you watch how Dani did reverse cowgirl…"
Kakashi leaned back against the wall. He kept his voice low. "I liked the story too. How she got arrested for speeding and she did not have the fine to pay so she paid…"
Pietro leaned closer. His eyes sparkled with mischief. "Right? The way she convinced the cop? Genius. Absolute genius. I mean, the plot was thin, but the execution? Chef's kiss."
Kakashi nodded slowly. "The dialogue was surprisingly good. Very realistic police. Almost made me believe it could happen."
Pietro laughed. "You're analyzing it like a novel. I love it. Okay, but seriously, the camera work in that scene? The angles? They knew what they were doing."
Kakashi tilted his head. "I noticed the lighting was better than average. They used natural light from the window. Gave it a more authentic feel."
Pietro slapped his knee. "Exactly! Most of these things look fake. This one felt real. Like you could believe she actually got pulled over."
They both chuckled.
A cough sounded interrupting Kakashi.
"Boys," Storm said with a shake of her head and a little redness on her cheeks.
She stood in the doorway. Arms crossed. Eyebrow raised. She looked like a mother who had caught her sons doing something naughty.
"Can you please refrain from saying such things in school?" she asked. "We have kids around. Some kids are already searching internet for such stuff after listening to you. Hank had to ban various sites from the school's network to prevent the kids from accessing it."
Pietro muttered, "No wonder I could not access Pornhub."
Storm ignored it after shooting Pietro a glare. "I have brought another daily update from Professor."
She stepped inside. Her voice became serious.
"Professor had not found Magneto or Brotherhood yet. All suspicious locations we have sent a team to scout but there was no sign of them."
She paused. "But it seems one of Magneto's Brotherhood members and you can say Charles' adopted sister had contacted us. We might have a lead soon. She is going to visit soon."
Kakashi's playfulness was gone by then.
Meanwhile Pietro said, "Uh, I have an errand to run. I will be back in a couple of days."
Pietro said as he gave a salute to Kakashi and then was gone in a blink of an eye.
Kakashi looked at where he was earlier with a raised eyebrow.
