Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 — Deadly Enemy. Parte 2. The Cursed.

Gravity distorted with an immeasurable vacuum of infinite tons, tearing and splitting the density of the air. The world cracked; it shattered like a wall of thin glass. As if it were a mere surface, 111 kilometers were completely consumed, all in the shape of a thin blade that vibrated intimately with chaos and the will to kill.

Khaelis had already fortified his entire body to the absolute limit. His instincts, his senses. His eyes could see Igyris clearly, and his ears could hear him, even across the massive distance. Igyris, in turn, could perceive him just as sharply.

— Hahah... holy shit... that was... different... Khaelis Kaiwen... you've never attacked me like that before.

A thunderous, gigantic earthquake spread across those kilometers. The sky vibrated, trembling as if it were being torn apart.

— So you...

The air had become heavy, as if infested with toxic chemicals. Poisonous—the cut had left a scar upon the world. The atmosphere was thick with a possibly harmful amount of energy. That murderous intent, that destruction.

— You're really going to fight to kill me now, aren't you?

All of that was a far cry from the way Khaelis Kaiwen usually fought.

— Argh... argh... damn it... What am I doing... this destruction...

Khaelis contemplated the directions, both behind and ahead. In the shape of ShadowStorm's thin blade, the Reixys territory would never be the same. The attack, even if refined, overstepped Khaelis's contained style.

— This hellish waste of energy... argh... I've infested everything... no... this doesn't suit me... a reckless waste born of pure brutality and murderous intent... no... this isn't me... a useless waste of energy and unprecedented destruction; this isn't how I fight...

Creck... creck...

A snap of Hellfire coming from a putrid place that reeked intensely. It wasn't from here... Even with Khaelis's massive and uncalculated attack, there wasn't a single flame burning on the ground. But... something physical had ignited... with a horrible color and smell.

— And of course... Igyris, the Cursed. You are intact...

The hellish curse flared up. Khaelis's eyes moved forward, capturing all that massive, intensive destruction. With something so wrong in the middle of it all, he wasn't surprised.

— Hahah! But of course. You didn't think it would be that easy, did you? Hahahahah! Let's go! The destruction was a great start...

On that demon's chest, following the massive path of that cut that seemed infinite, his damned curse burned. His flesh was rotting. Igyris's chest was igniting in a foul hue.

— But of course... that wouldn't kill you... I... will have to put in some effort this time... won't I, Cursed One?

The Green Flame. The thing that consumed the Purple Flame like a goddamn disease. The most inhuman plague had just completely regenerated Igyris's body while consuming it entirely, causing his skin to crack like ceramic, revealing bones that didn't have the slightest appearance of belonging to a human.

— Fighting with everything to kill... that's exactly why I came here today, wasn't it? I don't know if it will be difficult...

Khaelis gripped ShadowStorm with both hands. Leaning his body forward, his left foot was positioned ahead, his left knee bent, his right foot positioned behind with the knee slightly extended; his torso leaned forward.

The left side was completely dominant as he positioned himself laterally. ShadowStorm was raised to the height of his head, held firmly with both hands. A combat stance completely molded for pure, brutal advancement. But something was wrong: his eyes were completely... closed.

— Let's kill each other until the end, then, Cursed One!!!

Igyris stared at him in silence. The lingering smoke began to dissipate for good. The Green Flames on his torso spread further and further. And, unlike anything he had ever experienced in the state of agony and insanity that the Green Flame had provided him before, he analyzed:

— Hm... okay, okay... you're determined, aren't you? Hah... just don't hit me with another one of those attacks, okay?

But then... a smile formed on both their faces...

— I accept your proposal, Khaelis Kaiwen...

And then, Khaelis opened his eyes.

— LET'S KILL EACH OTHER!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

And then:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Igyris's body suddenly exploded in a massive, uncontrolled storm of Green Flames that spread like a tornado to the top of the heavens.

— HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! LET'S GO, KHAELIS KAIWEN!!!!!!! AFTER ALL, WE CAME HERE TO KILL EACH OTHER, DIDN'T WE????

Vash.... BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

Then, the storm exploded from the inside out. The hellish flash covered everything and dissipated in a bru-VUSSSSHHHHH!!!!!!

A blur tore through everything brutally, taking off at maximum speed. A shot? No. A body.

— HAHAHAHAHAH. I'M GOING TO RUN YOU OVER AT TOP SPEED!!!!!

Vum... VUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!

Igyris's body was launched by an overwhelming pressure at his feet.

VUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the soil was crushed in a brutal and overwhelming way, transformed into a pure wave of destruction.

VUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH.

Faster and faster, he accelerated and accelerated. Ripping up the ground and destroying everything in his path, a crushing trail of destruction. And, finally, a gigantic, cursed trail of Green Flames.

— COME ON, KHAELIS KAIWEN!!!!! YOU BETTER MOVE!!!! IF NOT, YOUR BODY WILL BECOME A POINTLESS MASS OF FLESH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

A gigantically absurd speed. The simple trail created a destructive tornado that tore all the trees, rocks, and stones from the ground. Perhaps capable of crushing a mountain.

VUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The demon, already completely disfigured, crushed all the distance between their bodies. The tornado formed due to the massive speed. The mountains, gardens, trees... all torn from the ground by the simple dash of the cursed Igyris. It was already too late for a reaction. Khaelis would be run through at maximum speed in...

1...

2...

— You... are at Mach 108, aren't you?

Even at that brusquely gigantic speed, which tore and distorted sound, it was as if the world were completely paralyzed.

— It's a great feat of scaling. I was able to measure your speed because you crossed the radius of the cut that extended for 111 kilometers in exactly three seconds... Cursed Igyris... you didn't come anywhere near that in our last encounter... you're really motivated too, aren't you?

Every word from Khaelis Kaiwen was completely understandable. As if something moving 108 times faster than sound were absolutely nothing. Just an enthusiastic... projectile.

— Argh?... What? What are you...

Igyris's cursed heart, incapable of feeling fear or truly engaging with situations—the heart consumed by the Green Flame, the curse, the evil—was completely... incredulous.

— Hmm... it's just fast... I see your reasoning is pathetic with your body at this speed... I understand your bodily friction as well... you've created an incredible trail of destruction... I imagine your body is destroying itself in order to create phenomena that defy the laws of physics...

— Argh... Khaelis Kaiwen... just what the hell... are you?

And the most unthinkable of all: even so, Khaelis Kaiwen remained completely motionless.

— You want to know, Cursed One? You're at a good level... I think it's good for you to see... the true way I fight...

For a moment, the broken world, still and shattered, was about to reconstruct itself. This was the true potential of Khaelis Kaiwen. Of ShadowStorm.

Speed.

FUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!

When an object exceeds the speed of sound, an event known as a sonic boom occurs. A spatial distortion. An event that would naturally explode the body of any living being.

It is solely the physical phenomenon that a body or object performs when crossing a certain distance in a certain time. The wind was cut, all the laws of physics.

VUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!

Such a phenomenon creates a massive boom. Everything that possesses a body is affected by the laws of physics, and the terrain and space are part of that to the extreme.

Speed...

A naturally trained human body has a greater capacity for speed due to the leg muscles, which increase the starting force and the force concentrated in those muscles to increase it gradually.

VUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!

The Purple Flame possesses a natural and automatic capacity for bodily strengthening due to the tiny particles residing in the bodies of living beings. Such particles are energetic and agitate, spreading this energy through the body, which increases muscular capacity, speed, and physical abilities in general. But even so, it is impossible to exceed the speed of sound with only this force attributed to the body due to the Purple Flame, and this also applies to Khaelis Kaiwen.

— WHAT???? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING, KHAELIS KAIWEN??? THE WAY YOU FIGHT??? ARE YOU POSING??? THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!

However, for the cursed Igyris, such rules worked in a completely different way.

— I'M GOING TO RUN YOU OVER, DAMN IT!!! YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!!!

The Green Flame worked in a completely different way from the Purple Flame—not in an inverted way, but with completely different properties.

— WHEN WE COLLIDE, WE'LL EXPLODE TOGETHER!!!!

Only 1 second remained for the countdown to end; soon, Igyris and Khaelis would collide with everything.

For the Green Flame, the laws of physics of the physical world in which bodies and life exist are nothing more than fragile lines, full of small codes, series of numbers, and meaningless mathematical calculations. Just as the Green Flame corrupts objects and consumes life, its nature, compared to the nature of the world, is not natural at all.

The Green Flame, in the midst of all these straight lines that represent the laws of physics, is a massive infinite glitch corrupting everything it comes into contact with, completely distorting these lines until they are unrecognizable. This marks the superiority of the Green Flame over the Purple Flame. The Purple Flame, by following the laws of the world to the letter, becomes a natural prey for the Green Flame.

— You are... funny, Cursed One...

That smile on Khaelis Kaiwen's face, even so close to death, had not vanished.

— What??? You... said?

And he stayed right there.

— No... I mean... Igyris... you really are interesting as an individual.

The greatest weakness of the Green Flames in Igyris's hands was simple to understand.

He didn't understand them in their general functioning, only in essence. Igyris felt their infinite influence, modifications, and manipulations to the fullest. However, even if he felt it, understanding why would be impossible. What Igyris understood the least, but felt the most, was that the Green Flame functioned based on Igyris's own psychological changes and his heart. He wasn't influenced, because that nature had been born with him. The shift of his void into an extreme state of psychosis was what granted greater power over the lines of physical laws, which allowed him to exceed the speed of sound by 108 times, being able to reach more and more. However, that feat caused by the extreme deterioration of reality, in Khaelis Kaiwen's eyes, was clear as water.

— Survive this, this time.

In Khaelis Kaiwen's eyes, reality also functioned as an infinite series of numbers.

But what made all the difference was that he saw those numbers in a completely organized way; unlike all other existences, he could count each number in a controlled manner. A feat that placed him even above Kameliel Reixys in his high refinement and pure control of the external particles of the Purple Flame. Numbers and numbers, calculated perfectly; this would enable Khaelis to perform a phenomenon impossible even for Kameliel Reixys and all members of the High Guard. Every shimmering energetic particle in the air was his.

— Huff...

A slow sigh was released as that last 1 second ticked by.

— Witness, Cursed Igyris, my perfect territory: PARTITOR SOUL CAPSULE. INFINITE CLOCK OF PUNITIVE HOUR.

The air became immensely heavy. The infinite accumulation of counts and patterns particulated and merged in mid-air, piling up in mounds on the ground.

Fshew...

A massive flash spread on a gigantic scale.

— Argh... what?

Blinding Igyris completely.

Fshew.

And when he opened his eyes: from end to end, about 111 kilometers of the cut were completely consumed.

— So... this is the true way I fight.

What differentiated Khaelis Kaiwen from other users of the Purple Flame was not the Pure Relic called ShadowStorm, passed down from generation to generation among the eldest sons of the main family of the Kaisen House, but rather his mathematical refinement based on the understanding of the physical laws of the energy particles that consist of the Purple Flame within it. Unlike Kameliel Reixys, who had his refinement based on overwhelming natural talent, Khaelis understood them entirely. Even though he wasn't capable of performing certain feats because he didn't have such a colossal amount in his body as Kameliel, Khaelis possessed the unique ability to perform a feat that placed him in an almost infinite abyss.

— Unprecedented destruction is useless... I will kill you cleanly... so... welcome.

A perfect territory that extended over a radius of 111 kilometers. An entire domain consisting solely of pure particles meticulously counted and positioned in a specific way, in the shape of a gigantic clock.

— But what... is this...

Within that domain, Khaelis could not use techniques of pure and brutal destruction.

Massive and uncoordinated destructive attacks could put the stability of the entire domain at risk, something Khaelis would avoid at all costs. However, his attack and defense are... absolute.

— ARGH???? Damn it... everything is glowing... and my... argh... my top speed attack was... argh... simply stopped... I...

Tap...

Igyris took a step. All those accumulated particles forming various structures, those meaningless shapes... He confirmed: he could move.

— I can still move... but when he did this, I just stopped out of nowhere... as if each of these little balls, positioning themselves at the same time, locked my movement... Khaelis Kaiwen did this? Damn... I'd never seen him do this before... before... argh... he just cut me and materialized weapons... what is this?

Igyris, completely consumed by the epiphany of the Green Flames, slowly felt the gigantic power and the so discordant capacity leaving his body little by little, due to his mind which, at the moment, only questioned what kind of feat that could be...

— Argh... I remember... the Executor... that Mazikin Yegrande... he created structures too... but this is different, more complex... Mana told me once that materializing objects using these little balls depended on the capacity to control them... and also determined the complexity of the materialized object... but this... is... different from everything... what... is Khaelis Kaiwen?

Igyris then noticed something: his empty nature, now replaced by questioning, began to burn with the disease again.

— But the complexity of the object doesn't matter... I JUST NEED TO CONSUME AND ROT EVERYTHING, DON'T I????

But then, something suddenly touched him. Like a hand touching his back to warn him of something, or a light switching on in his mind.

Fshew...

A silvery glow quickly appeared. But, as fast as it appeared, it dissipated.

— But... where is he? I was seeing him clearly in front of me... even if he was so distant... maybe a few kilometers away? Meters? I don't know... but I could feel it... my intuition told me I would collide with him in less than a second... so where is h-!!!!!!!ARGH!!!!!

FASH!!!! FSHEW!!!!!!

Then, suddenly, the soul-splitter, ShadowStorm, without Igyris seeing it, split him in half.

— Argh... argh...

But even though his body had been separated into two large pieces, his limbs did not disconnect.

A flash of light formed in front of him, blinding his vision for moments. A space of time even shorter than the count of seconds—perhaps even milliseconds. The light materialized sharp and cut him.

Fesh...

And from that light, his body materialized: the Noble Khaelis Kaiwen.

— Do you understand now?... Igyris... this isn't just speed... no.

A trail of scalding light ran through everything. All those meticulously positioned luminous points reflected a single attack. In a time that was impossible to count, the only certainty there was that, no matter the point Khaelis Kaiwen was at...

Vunsh.... FASHHHHH!!!!!!

His attack would always hit the target. Igyris's chest split wide open.

— I don't think you understand yet... judging by your intellectual level. But so that you have a chance, I will summarize it for you.

Tap!

And with that flash that came from so far away, guided by all those tiny luminous points and structures—when that strong light that so suddenly appeared—Khaelis touched his feet to the ground.

— This entire domain is completely made up of these tiny points... but you've already understood that. The point is that, because of these points, the environment is completely made of particles. This fact gives me total control over the environment, since I manipulate these particles.

VASH!!!

Igyris's blood, such a short time after that strong glow had disappeared, sprayed out.

— Every time I attack or defend, even without noticing, I release these particles into the air in the form of energy... that's what anyone would think, except for me... Igyris, the Cursed. Today I recognized and respected you as a true opponent, worthy of facing me and being killed by my maximum power... because of that... now I am at my maximum...

TUM! TUM! TUM!...

A heart raced at those words.

— Hah... argh... how funny... you really are incredible, aren't you?...

Igyris slowly turned to Khaelis... his putrid flames flickered, a medium fire... gradually starting to lose its strength.

— Hmn?... your curse?... don't tell me you've lost the will to fight...

Khaelis stared at him. The particles vibrated with tension... a bizarre taste, a bizarre smell infested the air... Khaelis pressed his feet firmly. Every particle, every structure there swallowing his boots so firmly. A drop of sweat ran down his face.

— Oh, no... hahah... Of course not...

Crack... crack...

Something was cracking... more and more...

— It's just that...

Khaelis noticed the new posture Igyris had adopted. A firmer voice... discordant with the hellish distortion and insanity he had been presenting. But he soon came to realize...

— IT'S JUST THAT IT'S FUNNY, YOU KNOW??? YOU ATTACKING WITH EVERYTHING SOMEONE YOU'VE ALREADY GIVEN A BEATING TO!

That demon was truly, completely unpredictable.

PLOOOOOOSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!

Like a whirlwind of death, Igyris exploded once more.

— HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS CRAP WORKS.

BUT IT MAKES YOU FASTER, DOESN'T IT????

Khaelis saw the incomprehensible demon that Igyris was, right there.

— THEN I JUST NEED TO ATTACK YOU FROM ALL DIRECTIONS, HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! BASTARD!!! I JUST NEED TO ATTACK YOU MUCH FASTER!!!!!

The explosion and the storm spread everywhere. A hellish whirlwind that burned in a sickly green.

FLOOOOOSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!

A glow as blinding as that luminous flash previously projected by Khaelis... no... it was more. That wasn't just murderous intent. It was, truly, insanity exploding from that body, whose skin was breaking like thin ceramic. And a smile... hellish.

— DIE, KHAELIS KAIWEN!!!!

Insanity consumed everything. Igyris's skin fell away completely. Along with a hellish phenomenon... the Green Flame, if fused to a vessel whose intentions are the same, has the primary function of destroying the world.

Khaelis swallowed hard.

— Gulp...

And, at that moment, he saw a hellish and sickly demonstration of the purest evil. Those words were no longer empty.

TROOVOOOOOOSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!

An immense wind began to form at the center of that gigantic clock. A phenomenon even Khaelis hadn't foreseen...

VOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!

A hellish wind in the shape of a gigantic unpredictable function. Khaelis had confirmed his theory.

— I see that... you've changed since the last times...

However... he still hadn't attacked him...

— Hahn? HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! WHAT'S UP, MAN??? DO YOU WANT TO TALK MORE????

The tornado continued to grow and grow. The distortion of laws was put into practice; more and more the sky changed in a... different way...

— Your words... I see you've found something, then... you truly deserve to di-.

TRUUUUUUUVUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sky tore open.

— HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, DAMN, HOW PATHETIC!!!!!

The peak of that green tornado rose to the top of the sky and exploded.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

— I don't care about that anymore...

The height of the hellish power of the Green Flame. Without Igyris noticing, the power to destroy the world was put into practice.

— Now, Khaelis Kaiwen... I just want... to kill you... without all that talk about having motives or reasons. It's not empty anymore either... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! YES!!!

YOU'RE RIGHT, I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO!!!!!

Igyris, at that moment, destroyed the sky.

VROOOOOSSSSSSH!!!!!!!

— This is...

Khaelis observed that event and, for a moment, the unpredictability of that terror took hold of his heart.

— You opened a direct dimensional tear...

The power to destroy the world in a physical way. What could be better than a power that doesn't belong to this world? The Green Flame, because it doesn't belong to reality or this plane, possessed the ability—when concentrated by the reflection of the bearer's peak insanity—to treat space as a fabric, a real physical object. By not following the laws of this world, it is capable of tearing reality itself, creating an event called...

— So this is a "black sky"... I had only heard about it until now... this thing is truly horrible.

The black sky. It had occurred only once in all of history: the phenomenon that occurs in the ritual that brings the Plague to the world, the ABYSSAL GOD OF ROTTEN FLESH.

Such a feat opens a gigantic rift in reality itself, directly to the dimension of the nature of the Green Flame. This phenomenon brings all the nature of a dimension that treats the laws of physics as fragile lines. In other words: the sky itself, if kept open for about 50 minutes, is capable of destroying the entire world.

— Damn... the sky really turns black... argh... I'm getting nauseous... argh!

Tap!

Khaelis stumbled forward, consumed by overwhelming nausea, a gigantic tremor, and an immense urge to vomit.

— Argh... damn it... I need to kill him soon... for sure... argh... he has no idea what he's doing... and he won't be able to keep this up for long... and I'm sure he would avoid using this thing... no... it's unpredictable... I need to k-.

Khaelis's sentence was completely interrupted by the sight of the smiling demon, already completely consumed by evil in his mind. That was no longer Igyris. His arms open like a deity signaled something else.

— Hah... it's beautiful, isn't it... I can do anything...

Something that before, in eras so long past, with its four touches upon the earth, had long ago destroyed the world.

VUSSSSSH!!!!!!!

VASHAAAAAA!!!!!!

VESSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!

VUSSSSHH!!!!!

Four objects at extreme speed—faster than Igyris's previous speed—bent space. Projectiles fired directly through that giant rift in the sky, tearing through the atmosphere like meteors. It wasn't just the announcement, but the complete announcement of destruction.

Khaelis's eyes widened, taken by the influence of that evil. His feet moved involuntarily. But...

— Argh... how fast that is... I can't calculate it... I need to...

Soon that cold posture returned.

— Kill him now...

But...

— HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! WHAT IS IT??? DO YOU WANT TO KEEP UP THAT STANCE EVEN NOW???.

That attack, this time, seemed to be inevitable.

VUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!

VRASSSSSSH!

TREEEEEEEEEEEEVESSSSSSSH.

TROOOOOOOOOVOOOOOOSSSSSH.

For those things coming as destruction from the sky were faster than any feat Khaelis had already demonstrated.

— I JUST NEEDED TO BE FASTER THAN YOU, THEN, DIDN'T I??? DIE!!!!!!

The concept of the sky's corruption was an unknown. Within all studies directed at this spatial-dimensional phenomenon, the solution was that the fact that the Green Flame possessed the ability to distort laws meant it could treat basic concepts—such as empty space or wind—the same way as a stone or the soil. Therefore, everything the Green Flame does not consider natural to its own nature is nothing more than a mere dirty rag.

Chaos came to Earth in the form of four large meteors capable of extinguishing all life. The Goat, the Skull, the Dagger... and the Sixth Sacrifice. Thus were called those four phenomena that only touched the Earth a single time, causing the first chaos, the hellish event that created the war between the Six Sons of Order and Chaos and the Rotten Flesh. Thus bringing the definitive rise of the Six Great Houses. But this time... it was different.

— So this thing is that... truly... it is as devastating as was said in the scriptures.

Khaelis Kaiwen remained motionless the entire time. An overwhelming pressure made itself felt on the ground.

BRUUUUUUVUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!!.

Gravitational and spatial distortion compressed space completely. The world was being compressed and flattened by the mere presence of those objects within the atmosphere. The sky had been taken over...

— Igyris... this is truly... incredible...

... by an immense darkness.

— Hahahah...

A hysterical laugh. Khaelis's throat was being compressed within his own neck.

Fiush...

His trembling hand...

Treck... treck...

Slowly, he wiped the sweat from his forehead. That look in his eyes was...

— Truly... IGYRIS, THE CURSED... THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Totally perfect.

— HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

Igyris's corrosive insanity had infected him completely.

— HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! YES!!! IT'S GREAT!!! NOW WE'RE TALKING!!!

And in his surge, abruptly:

VRUSH!!!

He opened his arms in a completely hallucinated way.

— HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! LET'S GO THEN!!! WITNESS THIS!!!!

TRECK!!!!

Abruptly, an inaudible snap; his knees bent, his bones crushed aggressively. Taking a position...

— HAHAHAHAH!!!! OK. WATCH THIS WELL, RODALIGHT!!! AND SAY IT LOUD AND CLEAR!!! I AM NOT YOUR PAWN!!! LOOK HERE!!! KHAELIS KAIWEN IS GOING TO COMPLETELY DESTROY THIS DEMON YOU'RE COOKING UP!!!

Khaelis Kaiwen had taken a horrible and totally ineffective posture for a cut.

— HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! WHAT IS IT, KAIWEN??? ARE YOU CRAZIER THAN ME??? HOW INSANE! I LOVE IT!!!

The world would finally break.

— I AM GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING!!! MY HUNGER IS INFINITE!!! THERE'S NO ESCAPE NOW, YOU'RE JUST FAST!!! AND AGAINST THIS, FAST IS NOT ENOUGH-

FISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

What makes a cut go unnoticed? Well. Perhaps that question isn't the most appropriate at the moment... or... perhaps the appropriate question would be...

Fshew...

The silvery light of that extremely miscalculated movement began to move through each predetermined point again.

— Hahahah... quite the contrary...

The reason why the world at that moment—like glass, thin ice—had not shattered.

— Everything I do within this predetermined territory...

Fshew...

The silvery light previously at that point kept moving, without stopping. The answer was simple.

— It is not speed.

Fshew...

And in a clean, invisible way, the silvery light moved until it touched the heavens.

Because the world destroying itself at that moment depended, exclusively, on Khaelis Kaiwen.

— W-what?

FAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!!!!!!

And once again, without Khaelis even leaving his spot, that silvery light completely outshone the Green Flame...

TROVOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There, the true thunder had fallen.

— Bu-but... what... what the hell was that?... they... vanished.

Finsh...

— You want to understand what this is about...

Fshew...

The quick glow came in sequence. And along with it, Khaelis Kaiwen had disappeared completely.

Tap!...

Immediately following, a step... but where?

— HUNPH!!!!!

Every cell of Igyris screamed.

— Do you know the concept of... spatial movement between infinite different numbers? But perfectly counted.

Imploring that, at that moment, Khaelis Kaiwen would be killed.

— When you understand the concept... it usually works in a simple way...

Otherwise, Igyris would be quickly killed.

Fshew...

Like a beautiful and radiant thunder that tears through the sky showing all its infinite clarity, clearing all the unnatural chaos that at that moment tormented existence.

— Humph... humph...

How absurd did that have to be to make a being molded in insanity feel such terror and fear for life.

— It can't be...

Someone who defied all natural laws. Upon being questioned to the maximum of his malignant nature, he was drowned once again in his crisis. Another insane crisis that culminated in the peak of his power.

— The cut... didn't even... happen.

Slowly, he began to understand. And, to his misfortune, that gigantic reality check dissipated the insanity of his power, pulling him down from that peak unreachable by men.

— Yes... it didn't even really happen... apparently, you understood this principle.

Only what remained of those gigantic omens of death. Gigantic meteors symbolizing the Four Paths, the Four Pedestals of the End, the pillars that would raise the beginning of the end of the world from eras past.

Fwesh...

Were reduced to nothing...

— Well... let me explain it to you...

— Argh... argh... but what the hell did I think... URGH!!!

ShadowStorm's blade pierced Igyris through the back, tearing through his chest. His heart was completely destroyed.

— URRGHHHH!!!!

Blood exploded from his chest.

PLOSSSSH!!!

Followed by a burning explosion that pulverized his own body in its high defense.

PSHEW!!!

The silvery light took over everything again. But the explosion did not cease.

PLOOOOSSSSSH!!!!!

As if every energetic particle that built that complex territory carried a certain energetic charge that traveled through all its variables.

PSHEW! PSHEW! PSHEW!.

When Igyris's explosion swallowed a 20-meter radius, Igyris couldn't help but notice something.

PLOOOOOOOSSSSH!!!!

— HE!!! HE VANISHED!!!!

Along with that silvery flash, Khaelis's existence in that place became completely non-existent. As if those infinite variables of different numbers had moved him among themselves.

— NO!!! IT CAN'T BE!!! HE'S TOO FAST. I THOUGHT I'D SEEN EVERYTHING FROM HIM, BUT THIS SPEED IS FAR BEYOND EVERYTHING.

To Igyris, at that moment, it was as if he were stepping on several tiny little balls the size of photons. Each ball had a different number, hot; some moved one way, others another... each had its own symbol to identify them.

— BUT WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GUY???.

But, at that exact moment when Khaelis Kaiwen had disappeared completely, it was as if every one of those little balls possessed literally the same signature, the same energetic frequency and essence as Khaelis. In other words...

Fshew...

It was as if Khaelis were everywhere at the same time, whenever that silvery light took form.

Tap!

And once again, after Igyris's explosion had dissipated, it returned.

— Gulp...

And upon realizing it, his flames flickered. For, along with that light that faded so quickly:

— You're getting it all completely wrong...

Khaelis was positioned perfectly, once again at his back.

— This is very far from being speed...

With ShadowStorm's blade, deadly, completely pressed against his neck.

— You understood a fundamental, didn't you... Cursed One?

Igyris's spirit, bathed in chaos and emptiness, for the first time in a fight after replacing his void with the evil of insanity, struggled to understand. His power, totally linked to chaos, sought logic in the moment to comprehend that damned phenomenon that Khaelis so denied was linked to speed.

— You noticed it... I am absolutely certain...

A malicious smile appeared on both their faces at that exact moment. The brutal and insane feeling of feeling so alive; the pure sensation of fighting to the death with everything one has.

— Hah... yes... I understood. The first fundamental is that... you didn't even move, did you? At the exact moment the Four Pillars... it's strange that I know that... but it doesn't matter... Well. The moment they were destroyed, you didn't even attack them, did you?

The Four Pillars. Fundamentals of pain and war, one of the natural objects of the originating dimension of the Green Flame as events, natural phenomena that, at that moment, were completely cut from all directions. The cuts came along with that silvery glow, as if billions of Khaelis Kaiwens were cutting them with all their strength, from all sides, with ShadowStorm. A feat that... cost him in a way.

— Yes... I didn't even attack them directly... it was all, in fact, a basic locomotion of energy... that is the gain of this territory.

It cost him in a way where every cell of his body was also screaming in pure pain.

— The only movement I made was moving my arm... ShadowStorm, in this case. As you may or may not have noticed, the posture I had taken was completely ineffective for a cut with real damage. So, what I did was move the energy of that cut between the various particles I displaced from this territory the moment those things would touch the ground.

An irreversible damage to his own skill and his body.

— I released a considerable amount of particles from the structures that make up the entire territory. But, since they were still numbered, I was able to pass the energy coming from the cuts through the various numbers that still behaved like structures. Even though they were divided in the air and the sky, through my refinement and by maintaining the numerical pattern, I still managed to move my action through the sky.

Thus... compromising his greatest trump card once and for all.

— The only thing I needed to do was repeat the same energy repeatedly in the same one I had given so sloppily... until those things were reduced to atoms. I think with this explanation you understood, didn't you? The way this domain works. Especially because, by releasing this considerable amount of particles, I managed to replicate the domain's effect in the sky... destroying your greatest trump card.

The result of this would be...

— Hahah... hahah.... HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

A complex territorial failure. For, by discarding a considerable amount of the particles that added so much to his territory, Khaelis lost a huge part of its functioning and complexity.

— I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND A DAMN WORD YOU SAID!!! BUT I UNDERSTOOD SOMETHING!!!

Which gave Igyris, at the moment, a gigantic advantage.

— HAHAHAHAH!!!! YOU NEED THESE LITTLE BALLS TO BE ABLE TO MOVE, DON'T YOU??? YOUR SPEED DEPENDS ON IT, HAHAHAHAH!!! AND YOU DISCARDED MANY OF THEM!!! MASSIVELY, JUST TO BE ABLE TO CONTAIN MY ATTACK!!!

Khaelis perhaps, in avoiding a quick death by destroying the world-destroyers, ended up sentencing himself to a much more cruel and brutal death.

— YES!!! YES!!! I UNDERSTOOD. YOUR SPEED IS COMPLETELY COMPROMISED, AND YOU CAN'T KILL ME WITH A SINGLE ATTACK!!! YOUR BIGGEST ADVANTAGE WENT AWAY ALONG WITH THOSE BALLS!!! HAHAHAHAH!!! AND I BET IT MUST BE HARD FOR YOU, HORRIBLE TO KEEP THIS WHOLE PLACE RUNNING...

Especially having your structure completely affected this way, isn't it?... this goes against all your plans... and... I smell it...

From Khaelis's nose, a drop ran...

Think...

And soon it touched the ground.

— Blood... hahah... I imagine that, because of the high wear and stress your body goes through because of this, it ends up overheating you entirely... even more so because your structure is so damaged by this pathetic attempt to stay alive... hahah!!! How ridiculous... Khaelis Kaiwen... you don't seem so fast to me anymore...

Khaelis remained in silence. Blood ran down his nose... to his mouth, his chin. And then... a sigh.

— Humph... this attitude is irritating...

Slowly, the backs of his hands guided to his face, wiping the blood from his chin, nose, and lips.

— Hahah!!! Are you going to keep maintaining that posture even so close to death? You really are funn-!!!

FHSSSSW!!!!

With a clean, unpredictable movement, Khaelis quickly moved ShadowStorm shimmeringly through the air in the opposite direction of Igyris's neck.

PSHW!!!

Igyris's instinctive reaction was to turn abruptly and jump in the opposite direction of Khaelis, taking proper distance.

Tap!

— Humh?... Damn it, why didn't you attack, huh? Someone who depends on speed needs to attack and finish their opponent quickly, don't they? You're not going to tell me that the stress and the work to keep this place up fried your brain?

Fshew...

Then, slowly... once again, he moved it downward.

— Yes... you are right in some respects. It truly was a gigantic loss for the entire domain; its functioning and complexity are no longer the same. And yes... truly the stress is too high, and the damage to my body—especially after sacrificing so many particles—is considerable...

An immense confusion once again took hold of Igyris. Those actions, the way Khaelis carried himself at that moment—explaining so much about his skills, the way he did things, his weak points—didn't match the way Khaelis Kaiwen fought previously at all. As if he too were diving deeper and deeper into that insanity. Or perhaps... that's how he was when anxious for a fight to the death.

— But... I must admit that you also failed considerably on other very important points... I will repeat once more: it is not about speed. And you are also no longer at the peak you were in a short while ago.

With that, Igyris noticed something: a glow coming from deep within Khaelis's eyes. A will to, just like him, test himself to the absolute limit. To kill or be killed, definitively.

— Apparently, your total connection with the Black Sky was abruptly cut off when you used the Four Pedestals. The use you give to your power is uncontrolled, and that suits it.

But, in a way, you end up passing through the peak of power automatically and, in doing so, end up surpassing your limit...

Today's height of your strength was that...

now, just like me... we are evenly matched.

But it didn't matter. All that mattered at that moment was the chaos. The Green Flame's influence molds its user from birth, creating a highly aggressive nature. Repulsive. The words entered his head, but all it repeated was...

— Hahah... technical explanation? What a stupid and imbecile thing to do in a situation that can and will take your life... swinging that sword from one side to the other... without even touching me... but... but... that makes that thing scream in my head... as if it wants to take over again... and it screams...

"BURN EVERYTHING!!!!!!"
