Chapter 23
The door swung open to reveal a gray-haired butler wearing a formal corporate outfit clearly meant for high-end service. Solomon maintained his composure, studying the figure who had answered his summon.
"Young man, who are you? What are you doing here?" the butler asked, his tone polite but guarded.
Solomon took a deep breath, calming his nerves and ignoring the unsettling fact that he had essentially invaded a stranger's private estate. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the sleek identification card.
"I came to return this ID," he said, raising his hand to display the card to the butler.
The butler looked at the credentials, and his eyes widened in instant recognition. He let out a sharp gasp of excitement. "This is the young master's ID! He has been looking everywhere for it!" The butler's voice filled with genuine relief. "Young man, you can hand the ID over to me."
