Kaya let out a long, exhausted sigh. "Give him some food."
"From where?" Veer asked, stepping forward and gesturing to the massive glass cylinder. "You told Cutie to lock the top vents down to a single millimeter. We cannot open the lid without breaching containment."
Kaya rubbed her temples. She was a CEO, not a zookeeper. She quickly scanned the massive, high-tech glass jar, looking for a solution.
"The pipe," Kaya ordered, pointing to a thick, reinforced drainage and supply pipe located near the bottom of the cylinder. "The pipe that connects to the base. Just shove the food into it and push it inside. I don't care how you do it, just figure out a way to feed him before he starves to death in my basement!"
"Can I help with the feeding pipe?"
The voice came from the back of the room—soft, hesitant, and completely unexpected.
