Realizing her massive slip-up, Kaya quickly scrambled to save face.
"I mean—his scales!" Kaya stammered, waving her phone light frantically over the snake's tail. "His scales are good! Good quality! I mean... ugh, just carry him back, you idiots!"
Three hours later, Kaya stood in the subterranean, high-security containment level of Vanguard Global, looking at her new captive.
It was, objectively speaking, an incredibly funny sight.
Normally, when you catch a snake, you put it into a standard-sized glass jar with a few holes poked in the lid. This particular jar, however, was eight feet tall and six feet wide. It was a massive, literal cylindrical glass tube, explicitly designed for high-end chemical experiments or storing large quantities of volatile liquid. It looked exactly like the kind of dramatic, sci-fi containment tube where a crazy scientist would suspend a protagonist in glowing green liquid to die.
