The thing about Rose that makes him feel kind of unfortunate in Kaneki's mind was that Rose is no less than a prisoner
She is locked up in her whole body, and even though he dont know if there is a story behind it or not but one thing is certain: he dont think anyone deserves that
But he didn't plan to ask her even if he did, he is very sure that Iris will interrupt him or do something stupid to keep the things they are after all the contract she signed for was to protect Saeko, Saya, Saya, Rei, and Shizuka, and that didnt include Rose
With those thoughts in her mind, she began to continue the cooking while finally feeling at peace with it all

Meanwhile with Rose….
Rose is right here, cleaning while making sure not to make as much sound as possible since she dont wanna wake them up
After that, it will be painful to interact with them due to the fact that she isn't Iris, she is Rose, and she is someone who isn't good at talking
While cleaning, she couldn't help but go into rooms and also see the people sleeping without any worry on their faces
'I wish I was like that too' Rose couldn't help but say this in her mind while looking at the faces that were at peace
She also looked at the small child in the middle, whom she wanted to touch since she found him adorable but she held back since if she did it then others would probably gonna wake up as well
While cleaning, she felt sudden pain in her head but Rose didn't look surprised nor did she even flinch at this because she is very used to it by now
'I need to finish this soon' Rose said in her mind as this pain was to remind her to do the job soon since iris wanna take the body back
Also, it would remind her to do the current task given to her rather than focusing her mind on other useless things
Even though there are many things in her heart she wanna say to Iris but she couldn't say since she dont think it would make any difference
With those thoughts in her mind, she began to speed up her pace to do cleaning as she had no intention to defy Iris at least for now

2 hours later….
'It's all ready' Kaneki said in his mind as he now prepared the meals even though 2 hours seemed long for cooking
But what Kaneki wanted was the best as a result it took a longer time than expected to finish cooking, and not only that as he prepared the lunches
Since there is some more distance to cover he thinks it wouldn't hurt to prepare lunches for today as well
Even if he sent according to what they planned then surely they will reach there sooner than lunchtime but he makes sure to be prepared just in case
Because events like yesterday can happen today as well it would be better to be prepared than sorry
ding
A mechanical sound came, attracting his attention as he turned around and found his coffee was ready
'Luckily, I have plenty of coffee for a week otherwise it would be hell for me' Kaneki inwardly said this as he knew if he didnt have coffee with him then he would be one whom everyone including zombies, needs to worry about
He couldn't help but feel more grateful about his decision to go to the cafe first thing in the outbreak since if he didnt do it then it would become really difficult to contain his urges
After his coffee was ready, he added the milk then without any delay he started to drink it slowly while he came to the window
"What are you looking at?~" A voice from behind him asked this as Kaneki didn't even need to look around to see whom this voice belonged to
As there was no one other than Iris who would come like this with an annoying voice, Kaneki didn't reply to her as he continued to look outside
'No zombies still' Kaneki said in his mind as he saw no zombies nor did he sense any, which only means there aren't any people nearby making this place some kind of protective area
And this makes sense since they know all houses have a lock on it as well as their vehicles were gone when they first arrived here
Meaning they all left in a hurry as they were already notified about the zombie outbreak before it could infect this area but somehow now this area has become one of the few places without infection right now
"Anyway, is the food ready? Can I try it?" Iris asked this question after knowing she wouldn't get a reply to her previous question as she changed the question
"No" Kaneki said straight away as he replied to her question, since he didn't plan to feed her before anyone
He planned to feed everyone at the same time before especially now that she is part of the team
He can't eat with everyone else due to the fact that he can't eat normal food but there is one thing that he won't admit that even if he could eat normal food he would eating with everyone else for some reason
But right now it's not about him rather it's about Iris and Kaneki, who have already decided that she won't be eating before anyone else
"But i a-am so sniff hungry by the work sniff yo-you gave me~" Iris said this as fake tears started to come out of her eyes
He ignored her who was doing this drama just to eat food since he clearly knew she was just acting. Even without knowing her, he could clearly tell that she was shedding fake tears since her cries had no emotion behind it
