"Not really… at least we saved more than we lost…" Eugene shifted to face her. "I heard you're covering our asses from legal problems. Thanks, I guess. I have no money to pay you back, though. How long can you hold the debt?"
Hunie—whose legal name was Stephanie Hunnigan, the daughter of the man who hired multiple lawyers for the students—looked at Eugene with a pout. She almost pounded on his bed. "Hold the debt? Everyone chipped in to protect everyone else. So what if I got my father to urge his people to work pro bono on this one? There are no real lawsuits yet. They're not really working too hard. There's no debt."
Instead of smiling, Eugene only stared at her. He just rubbed his neck. "That's… That's really very nice of you…"
"Humph, is it too hard to smile at me?" Hunie crossed her arms under her full bosom. "You used to flash teeth at everyone. Ever since you became an Eagle, all you have are frowns. Humph, what did they do to you?"
