On a cargo ship sailing from the Atlantic Ocean to British London, in a dark container, an American high school student named Lucy was locked to a crude wooden bed. No matter how much she screamed and struggled, she got no response, sinking into endless darkness and fear.
She shouted until she was exhausted, her throat hoarse, struggling to no avail. She was forced to calm down and try to analyze her situation.
She remembered receiving a call for help from her best friend Emily, going as promised to an alley near the bar, and then being cornered in the alley, where two large men controlled her until she passed out.
Emily had tricked her!
Why would Emily deceive her? Could Emily be in cahoots with the kidnappers? How was that possible? They were best friends, knowing each other inside out. Emily wasn't a bad person!
