Over the past four months that Emily Dormer has been in the hospital, Brandan Hyde had no choice but to accompany her in rehabilitation. Just thinking about how she had already recovered, yet Brandan still had to stay with her for rehab, made her feel uncomfortable.
Sour and stifled.
Brandan was also very annoyed.
He had been fooled.
"I won't contact her anymore," Brandan assured her.
Iris Harris lifted her head and kissed his chin, smiling, "I believe you."
However, unexpectedly, on the first morning at the hotel, Mr. Hyde showed up.
They had breakfast together in the room, and just as Brandan was about to leave, there was a knock on the door.
Iris was clearing the table, heard the sound, and glanced at Brandan. Brandan frowned slightly, "Who is it?"
"It's me." Charles Hyde's voice was low and authoritative, "Open the door."
Brandan's expression turned a bit cold, and he went to open the door.
Charles Hyde stood at the door, his face stern behind his gold-rimmed glasses.
