"..." Iris Harris saw the way his eyes lit up and knew immediately he wasn't thinking anything decent. She shot him a glare, lifted the quilt and slipped under it, and Brandan Hyde reached out to pull her into his arms.
His warm breath brushed her ear, making Iris go a little weak. She raised her hand to press against his face and scolded in a low voice, "Quit it!"
Iris caught that misbehaving hand and huffed coquettishly, "If you keep this up I'm not staying with you! I'm going to work!"
"Hmph."
Brandan turned his head away, disgruntled.
She actually wouldn't meet a patient's needs. How completely inconsiderate.
Iris kept feeling like this guy's IQ had dropped after the fever. Did he really manage to burn his brains out by accident?
She wrapped her arms around his waist and patted his chest. "Be good, get some sleep. Once you sleep it off, the fever will go down."
Brandan didn't really have the energy to fool around anyway.
