"I heard you'll be leading the Fourth Years in the fighting division of Frieden Academy, Aeris," said the King of Elves, Aerandir. "You might not be representing Faelarun Academy, but you are still an elf. You represent us. Do us proud, Aeris."
"I will, Father," Aeris replied.
Aerandis smiled before shifting his gaze to Lapiz. "I also heard that you're the backup singer for the Singing Queen competition. Even if the chances of you appearing on the stage are slim, please do your best, Lapiz."
"Yes, Father," Lapiz replied. "I'll do my best!"
The King nodded before heaving a sigh. His daughters had grown to be exceptional ladies. If only his wife were here to see them, he was certain she would be very proud.
"I wish your mother could see you right now," Aerindir said softly. "I'm sure she will try asking you girls to let Faelarun Academy win."
Aeris and Lapiz smiled sadly. They could see that happening.
