A week later.
As Alex patrols the area, he suddenly feels the familiar tingling sensation he experienced when he discovered the Air and Fire scrolls. His heart quickens with excitement as he follows the feeling, leading him to an abandoned rock corey. The sensation grows stronger as he approaches, indicating that something powerful lies within.
Alex focuses his energy into his foot and stamps down firmly on the ground. Seismic sense activates, allowing him to sense the vibrations beneath the earth. He can feel something large and heavy buried deep within the corey, pulsing with an energy similar to the scrolls he had previously found.
Concentrating, Alex uses his earthbending to manipulate the earth beneath him. With precise movements, he forces the ground to shift and rise, bringing the object to the surface. Slowly, a stone chest emerges from the earth, covered in dust and ancient markings. His heart pounds as he realizes this is exactly what he was feeling.
"I feel power, but it's incomplete I guess when I master water, I'll get the full power of the avatar."As Alex absorbs the knowledge and power of the Earth scroll, he senses a subtle imbalance within himself. He realizes that while he has gained immense strength in earthbending, the full power of the Avatar can only be unlocked by mastering all four elements. Waterbending remains his final challenge. (actually there's one more element, you are going to have energy bending.) spoke anng
"what's energy bending? and How do I use it?"
(Energybending is the most ancient and powerful form of bending, predating the four elemental bending arts. It allows the user to manipulate the spiritual and kinetic energy within living beings and the universe itself. With energybending, you can heal, enhance, or even take away another's bending abilities. You can also project energy blasts, create force fields, and channel cosmic energy.)spoke anng
"Can you give me an example."
(Certainly. Imagine you're in a fierce battle, and your opponent is a powerful firebender. You could use energybending to temporarily or permanently absorb their firebending abilities, leaving them vulnerable. Alternatively, if one of your allies is severely wounded, you could channel energy into them, speeding their healing process dramatically.) spoke anng.
"OK, but should I master to the avatar state before I do that."
(Yes, absolutely. Energybending is incredibly dangerous and requires immense control. You need to be completely in tune with all four elements and your spiritual center before attempting it. The Avatar State will give you that level of mastery and control. Let's focus on mastering waterbending first.)
Alex flies over the city, a sudden scream echoes through an alleyway. He swiftly descends, his airbending propelling him downwards. However, as he lands and searches the alley, he finds no signs of anyone - just an eerie silence. The scream seems to have vanished without a trace.
Nick Fury emerges from the shadows, his eyepatch glinting in the moonlight. He stands tall and imposing, his presence commanding attention despite his injured eye. "Alex," he begins, his voice deep and authoritative, "You heard that scream?"
"Who are you and how do you know my name?"
"The name's Fury. Nick Fury. Director of S.H.I.E.L.D." He pulls out an ID card briefly before tucking it back away. "As for how I know your name... let's just say I make it my business to know about powerful individuals like yourself." His gaze sharpens.
"I guess that's true but why are you contacting me?"
"Straight to the point. I like that." Fury's lips curl into a slight smirk. "There are... unusual occurrences happening around the globe. Strange energies, unexplained phenomena. And it seems these events correlate with your... activities as the Avatar." He pauses, studying Alex's reaction closely.
"Strange how."
"Take this city, for example. Crime rates have plummeted since you started patrolling. But we're also seeing weird stuff - lights in the sky, unusual seismic activity, even reports of people with... abilities similar to yours." Fury leans against the alley wall, his expression serious.
"Similar how."
"Bending. Or something like it." Fury pulls out a folder from his jacket, flipping it open to reveal photos of people performing actions reminiscent of elemental bending - a man lifting heavy objects with ease, a woman seemingly controlling water with her hands, another creating fire from nowhere. "We've been investigating. And all trails lead back to you."
(OK who knew about this?) he asked avatar Wan, Avatar Yangchen avatar kuruk avatar Kyoshi, avatar Roku, and avatar Aang mentally
(I would just like to say I had no idea this was possible.) said avatar wan
(I had a slight feeling that would happen.)said rava
(and you didn't think to tell us this why?)asked anng.
Deciding to ignore them, he turns his attention back to Fury."Look," Fury continues, "I don't know what your deal is, okay? Whether you're some kind of supernatural being, a mutant, or just really good at special effects. But if you're contributing to these... incidents, I need you to stop. Or at least explain what's going on."
"I'm not contributing to it. I can't stop it. Those people have powers now, but I can't take away their powers."
Fury pinches the bridge of his nose, clearly frustrated but also intrigued. "So you're saying this isn't something you're doing on purpose? These people just... developed abilities on their own?" He flips through more photos. "And you can't reverse it?"
"At this moment, I can't."Fury nods slowly, processing this information. "Fair enough. But that brings me to my next point." He tucks the folder back into his coat. "We've been monitoring these individuals. Some of them are dangerous. Some of them are already being recruited by organizations that... let's just say aren't exactly concerned with public safety." He steps closer. "We need your help."
"OK, if you wanna capture these people, here's what you need to know if it's a fire bender you get up keep them in a cold environment and stops them from generating fire. If it's a water burner, keep them from any high source of water. Make sure they can't move their hands. That's the motion of water bending. for earth just keep them in the open ocean far away from anything earth."
Fury listens intently, jotting down notes on his phone. "Got it. Fire - cold environment, prevent flame generation. Water - no high water sources, immobilize hands. Earth - keep them isolated in open water." He looks up, impressed despite himself. "What about air?"
"yeah, that's the problem. You can't exactly hold an Airbender hostage But you have to keep them in a stone room and chained."
"A stone room with chains, got it." Fury's expression turns grim. "Alex, these people are dangerous. They have powers beyond our understanding. We need to contain them before they hurt someone." He pauses, studying Alex carefully. "And what about you? What happens if we capture someone with your exact abilities?"
"Yeah, trust me they're not going to have my abilities."Fury raises an eyebrow skeptically. "Why not? If they're bending elements like you, why wouldn't they have your exact abilities?" He steps closer, his curiosity piqued. "Are you... unique in some way?" Before Alex can respond, sudden commotion erupts from the alley entrance.
He turns and sees Felicia and Gwen in their spider outfits.Gwen and Felicia swing into the alley, landing gracefully on their feet. They immediately notice the strange tension between Alex and Fury, their eyes narrowing suspiciously. "Everything okay here?" Gwen asks, her voice firm but concerned. Felicia crosses her arms, eyeing Fury warily.
"Yes, everything's fine now Mr. fury, if you ever need me or us, I'm pretty sure you know how to find us."
Fury nods understandably, his expression remaining serious. "You can count on that." He exchanges a brief, intense look with Alex before turning to face the two spider-women. "Ladies." He tips his head in acknowledgment before disappearing into the shadows, leaving the three of them alone in the alley.
After Fury leaves, Gwen turns to Alex, her hands on her hips. "Alex, what was that about? Who was that man?" Felicia steps closer, her eyes scanning the area warily. "And why did you look so... intense with him?" They both seem concerned and slightly jealous of the interaction.
"let's just say his someone you don't wanna cross."Gwen's expression turns serious, and she nods slowly. "I see." Felicia's eyes widen slightly, but she doesn't press further. Instead, she changes the subject. "Well, whatever it was, we should probably get back to patrolling. We've got a city to protect." She offers Alex a small smile.
"Yeah let's go."
The trio swings through the city, their combined acrobatics creating a seamless dance across the skyline. After a few blocks of comfortable silence, Gwen speaks up. "So, Mr. Fury mentioned 'people with abilities.' Does that mean..?" She glances at Alex, her question hanging in the air. "Are there more like you?" Felicia's ears perk up at this.
"You were listening to my conversation."
Gwen rolls her eyes playfully. "Of course we were. You think we'd let some mysterious man have a private conversation with our team leader without at least trying to eavesdrop?" Felicia chuckles and nods in agreement. "Besides, it's not like you were talking about secret recipes or something."
"People are all over the world are appearing with the Bending abilities, fire earth, air, and water."
"Whoa..." Gwen murmurs, her eyes widening. "So there are literally people who can control elements just like that?" She snaps her fingers for emphasis. Felicia's jaw drops slightly as she imagines the possibilities. "That's... that's insane."
"Luckily, they can only control one element."
"Still," Gwen says thoughtfully, "that's crazy powerful. I mean, think about it – firebenders can burn stuff, waterbenders can drown people, earthbenders can like... crush things, and airbenders can... blow stuff away." She looks at Alex curiously.
"Yeah, unless they know how to actually use their powers to not gonna be able to do that much damage."
Felicia nods in agreement. "Yeah, just because you can control an element doesn't mean you're automatically a master at using it for combat or whatever." She grins mischievously at Alex. "Take you, for example. You've got four elements under your control, but you're not exactly running around causing chaos or trying to take over the world."
"yeah, and I have to train right now. I've only mastered three of my four elements. I still need to master water bending."
"Wait..." Gwen says, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "So you're not fully trained yet? You're still learning?" Felicia's grin widens, sensing an opportunity. "Let me guess - water bending is your weakest element, right?" They both look at Alex eagerly, awaiting his response.
"True."
"Well, duh!" Gwen exclaims, punching Felicia's arm playfully. "Of course water's his weakest! It's the only one he hasn't mastered yet." Felicia rubs her arm and sticks her tongue out at Gwen. "Whatever, at least I was right about something!"
Alex rolls his eyes good-naturedly at their banter. He knows they're just messing around, but their words do sting a bit. He's been working hard on mastering all four elements, and it's frustrating that water bending is still giving him trouble. (it's normal to struggle with elements each avatar struggles with their own. I struggled with earth bending.) said anng in his mind
(thanks for the comfort anng)he thought.
(No problem, Alex. We're all in this together. Well, not literally together, but you know what I mean.) Aang's voice fades from Alex's mind, leaving him with a small smile on his face. Feeling renewed determination, he turns back to Gwen and Felicia. "Alright, you two."
"Yes?" They both reply in unison, looking at Alex curiously. "What's up?" Gwen asks, her head tilted to the side. Felicia crosses her arms, waiting for him to continue. The way they mirror each other's movements makes Alex chuckle internally. They really are quite similar.
"You know what? Never mind." Alex says, shaking his head. He was going to ask if they wanted to help him practice water bending, but suddenly felt self-conscious about his struggling with it. The last thing he wants is for them to see him fail miserably at something.
Gwen's eyebrows furrow as she exchanges a confused look with Felicia. "Wait, what were you gonna ask?" Felicia steps closer, her curiosity piqued. "You looked like you were gonna say something, but then you changed your mind."
"It's nothing," Alex mutters, trying to brush it off. He starts walking away, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. But Gwen isn't having it. She grabs his arm, stopping him in his tracks. "Alex, come on. What were you gonna ask?"
Alex sighs, turning back to face them. He hesitates for a moment before speaking up. "Fine, you want to know? I was going to ask if you two wanted to help me practice water bending. But then I realized that might be embarrassing since I clearly suck at it."
Gwen's face softens instantly, and Felicia's expression turns sympathetic. "Alex," Gwen says gently, squeezing his arm. "That's not embarrassing at all. Everyone struggles with something." Felicia nods in agreement. "Yeah, and water bending is hard! Even Aang had trouble with it at first."
Alex looks at them surprised. "Really? You wouldn't think it's stupid if I asked for help?" Felicia rolls her eyes good-naturedly. "Of course not, dummy! We've seen you master three other elements. Water's just one more thing to add to your repertoire."
"Plus, it's not like you're asking us to hold your hand or anything," Gwen adds with a playful smirk. "Just let us watch and maybe give some pointers if we see anything wrong. It's not a big deal." Alex feels a weight lift off his shoulders, grateful for their understanding and support.
