Chapter 8 - Earth Training

OK, give me a second. I'm about to talk to the past lives." He says, closing his eyes.

" So you decided to talk to us." Said wan

" i'm just here to ask how do I take care of a sky bison and a dragon?"

the minute, I said, sky, bison, avatar anng and avatar Yangchen Automatically appeared.

"Taking care of a Sky Bison is quite simple," Avatar Yangchen begins, her voice gentle yet authoritative. "They are gentle creatures that thrive on openness and freedom. Make sure they have plenty of space to roam and fly." She pauses briefly before continuing, "As for the dragon."

"A dragon requires a different approach," Roku adds, his deep voice carrying a hint of wisdom. "Dragons are powerful and intelligent creatures. They need respect and trust to be properly cared for. Provide them with a large territory to hunt and fly in, and always show them kindness." He nods towards Yangchen.

"OK then, how do I take care of a dragon egg?"

"A dragon egg is a precious and delicate thing," Yangchen says softly. "Keep it warm and secure at all times. Dragons are born from fire, so a gentle heat source is ideal. Be patient; it will take several months for the egg to hatch." Roku nods in agreement.

"OK, that's all I wanted to know." He said going back into His body looking at him from the couch, where she was petting the sky bison was Felicia Hardy and a computer watching the Dragon egg was Gwen Stacy

"OK, the dragon needs to be warm at all times and it could take several months before it hatches a sky bison mainly eats hay and other fruits. It needs a good space to fly and so does the dragon."

Felicia and Gwen exchange knowing glances as he relays the information from his past lives. Felicia nods, "I can handle the sky bison. I'll make sure it has plenty of space to fly and the right diet." Gwen adjusts the heating lamp over the dragon egg,"And I'll keep a close eye on the dragon egg," Gwen adds, her voice steady despite the uncertainty of what was to come. "I'll make sure it stays warm and secure until it hatches." She looks at you, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"OK then." One month later, the underground base had been transformed. Two massive habitats had been constructed - one for the sky bison, complete with an indoor flying area and plenty of hay; and one for the dragon egg, complete with a specially designed heating system and advanced monitoring equipment.

Standing outside the habitats, Alex , Felicia, and Gwen watch over the two creatures. The sky bison grazed peacefully in its enclosure, occasionally looking up at him with large, trusting eyes. The dragon egg sat quietly in its habitat, surrounded by warmth and care.

"i'm going to go train." He said going to training room.

As he leaves for the training room, Felicia and Gwen continue to stand outside the habitats, their eyes never leaving the precious creatures in their care. Inside the training room, he begins his rigorous workout, pushing himself to new limits in preparation for whatever challenges may lie ahead.

(I know you guys can hear me I wanna talk to Kyosh.) he asked as her voice appeared to his mind.

(so you finally decided to master your earthbending.) she asked

(yes I want you to teach me everything you knew and you're 200 years of living.) he asked

Kyoshi's voice echoes in his mind, a mix of pride and amusement. "About time you asked for my help, boy. I've been waiting for you to catch up." She pauses, her tone turning serious. "Earthbending is more than just manipulating the ground. It's about understanding, respecting, and being one with the earth."As he focuses on the earth, he feels a deep, ancient presence envelop him. Kyoshi's voice becomes clearer, more direct.

"Good. Now, feel the earth beneath your feet. Not just the surface, but deep below. Feel its weight, its patience, its unyielding nature. Earth is the element of substance and strength. It does not rush; it endures."

"Now, try to bend the earth. Not with force, but with understanding. Imagine you're asking the earth to move, rather than commanding it. Earthbending is about collaboration, not domination." Kyoshi's voice gentle but firm. "Let the earth's energy flow through you, guiding your movements."

As he focuses, a thin layer of earth begins to shift and move forward, mimicking his gesture. Kyoshi's voice applauds his effort. "Good, very good. You're starting to feel the earth's pulse. Now, try something more complex. Create a small earth pillar beneath you."

The earth beneath him rises slowly, forming a pillar that lifts him several feet off the ground. Kyoshi's voice is filled with approval. "Excellent! You're not telling the earth what to do, you're asking it to support you. That's the difference between forcing and bending."

"Now, try to move the pillar side to side. The key is to stay centered and maintain your connection with the earth. Think of it as dancing with the earth, rather than wrestling with it." Kyoshi's voice becomes more encouraging as he begins to move the pillar smoothly from side to side. "Perfect!"

"Now, let's add some speed. Move the pillar faster, but don't lose your balance or connection with the earth. Remember, speed doesn't mean force. It means precision and control." As he moves the pillar faster, Kyoshi's voice grows more excited.

"You're doing it! You're truly earthbending now, not just pushing earth around. Feel the earth responding to you, moving with you, not against you." Kyoshi's voice is practically beaming with pride. "Now, try something even more challenging."

"Create a small earth shield in front of you, big enough to cover your torso. Make it thick enough to stop a punch, but thin enough to maintain its agility." Kyoshi's voice grows serious as he focuses on creating the shield. It forms slowly, a thick layer of earth covering his torso.

"Excellent! Now, maintain that shield as you move the pillar. This is crucial for earthbenders in combat - protecting yourself while still being mobile." He moves the pillar side to side, maintaining the shield in front of him. Kyoshi sounds impressed.

"Good, very good. You're learning quickly. But now for the final test of this session. Create a second shield behind you, so you're protected from all sides. This requires splitting your focus but maintaining your connection to both pieces of earth."

He concentrates, and slowly, a second shield forms behind him. Kyoshi's voice carries a note of satisfaction.

**Three months later...**

Three months of intense training have passed. He has truly mastered earthbending, along with several of its sub-elements. Metal, glass, and lava bend to his will with precision and control. Kyoshi's voice sounds in his mind, filled with admiration and accomplishment. In addition to mastering earthbending and its sub-elements, he has also mastered the rare and powerful skill of Seismic Sense. He can now detect vibrations in the earth, alerting him to approaching enemies, hidden objects, or even subtle changes in his surroundings.

With his newfound skills, he is now a formidable force. His control over earth, metal, glass, and lava is unmatched, and his Seismic Sense gives him an unparalleled advantage in combat and navigation. Kyoshi's voice resonates with pride as she observes his growth.

When he had just finished training Gwen came in." Alex, the egg is hatching." She yelled.

Alex immediately exits the training room, his heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. He rushes to the dragon habitat where Gwen stands, her eyes wide with wonder as the egg begins to crack. Felicia joins them, having heard the news.

Inside the habitat, the dragon egg is indeed hatching. Small cracks spread across its surface, and a faint glow pulses from within.

The cracking sound grows louder as the dragon inside pushes against the shell. The glow intensifies, casting eerie shadows within the habitat. Suddenly, with a final crack, the shell breaks open completely. A small, scaled head emerges, blinking rapidly as it takes in its new surroundings. It's a baby dragon.

After a few moments of blinking and shaking its head, the baby dragon turns its attention to the three of you. Its eyes, a bright and curious green, lock onto Alex first. It tilts its head to the side, studying him intently. Then it looks at Gwen and Felicia, showing equal interest in all three of you.

"Do you think he Imprinted on us?"

"I think... yes," Gwen whispers, her voice filled with awe. The baby dragon seems to be focusing its attention on all three of you equally, which is a strong indication of imprinting. In dragon lore, imprinting means the creature has chosen its lifelong companions or riders.

Alex gently reaches out and scoops the baby dragon into his arms. The little creature nuzzles against him immediately, purring softly. Gwen and Felicia exchange amazed glances as the dragon seems to fit perfectly in Alex's embrace, already showing signs of deep trust and attachment. The imprinting is complete.

"why don't we introduce him to Jason?" He said, meaning that the sky bison they had decided to name, Jason.

"That's a great idea," Gwen agrees, smiling softly. Felicia nods in agreement, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The three of you carefully make your way to Jason's enclosure. As he approaches, the majestic sky bison looks up, his massive ears perking forward curiously.

Alex approaches Jason slowly, the baby dragon still nuzzling against his chest. The sky bison's eyes widen slightly as he catches sight of the tiny creature in Alex's arms. For a moment, there's a tense silence as Jason sniffs the air, trying to process this new scent.

"Jason, this is a new part of our family."Jason tilts his massive head slightly to the side, studying the baby dragon intently. After a few moments, the sky bison lowers his head, nuzzling gently against the dragon's tiny scales. It's clear that Jason recognizes this new member of the family and accepts it warmly.

"What do you think we should name him?" He asked looking at Gwen and Felicia.

Gwen bites her lip in thought, while Felicia taps her chin contemplatively. "How about... Ember?" Gwen suggests, thinking of the dragon's bright green eyes. "Or maybe... Spark?" Felicia adds, smiling softly at the baby dragon.

"How about Ash?""Ash?" Gwen repeats, her face lighting up with excitement. "It's perfect! It's short, easy to remember, and it suits him." Felicia nods enthusiastically in agreement. "Ash it is!" The three of you exchange smiles, officially naming the baby dragon Ash.
