Facing the questions from the red and blue science duo, Silver Wing was very honest. She explained the concepts of digital and memory to them in detail, as she was also quite curious about Elysia and Sakura's current form of existence.
With her limited professional knowledge, asking these scientific heavyweights was obviously much more reliable.
Although Tesla and Einstein still couldn't understand exactly how Silver Wing managed it, Silver Wing used their doubts and explanations to figure some things out for herself.
Rin, who had once been an artifact spirit and was now a god, had previously jumped out of the Solar System and connected to the system where Paths existed. Even after returning to the Solar System, she could still be considered to have updated her firmware version.
The Authority of [Memory] seemed to have some connection to the Path of Remembrance; it wasn't just a matter of sharing the same name, which was a good thing.
Queenstown, a famous resort destination in New Zealand.
In spring, a myriad of flowers bloomed; in summer, the blue sky and bright sun shone; in autumn, it was dyed a colorful spectacle of bright red and golden leaves.
The pink fairy closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Feeling the wind brushing against her cheeks and embracing the scent of fresh flowers, she exclaimed, "This is truly a beautiful place!"
"Who's in charge here? They really know how to pick a base location! They should keep picking like this next time."
Silver Wing admired the beautiful scenery outside the window and sighed with emotion.
"It's another Executor of Anti-Entropy... Wait, listening to that tone, are you being passive-aggressive?"
Tesla raised her arm, brandishing her dark red gauntlet.
"How could I be? I'm genuinely praising them. After all, the employees can just drive for ten-odd minutes after work to come here and enjoy life."
Silver Wing didn't know if the other party was a qualified Anti-Entropy Executor, but they were definitely a good boss.
"The coming and going of tourists can provide cover for certain activities."
"That's true..."
"Wow, there's ice cream!"
Spotting the stall, Kiana-cat charged out at the speed of light. "What flavor do you guys want?"
"Citrus."
Silver Wing was the first to announce her flavor.
"I want strawberry~"
"Dr. Tesla, Dr. Einstein? Do you guys not want any?"
Holding an ice cream cone that Kiana had already taken a small bite out of, Silver Wing looked over and noticed Tesla's subtly weird expression.
"I'll have one, any flavor is fine."
It was summer, more or less, so bringing out ice cream now was quite fitting.
However, as the leader of this small group, the silver-haired girl had clearly been discussing serious matters with them from the very beginning. Yet, when Kiana suggested buying ice cream, Silver Wing was the very first to react and raise her hand.
Had this girl been paying attention to the girls beside her this whole time?
Could someone really multitask this smoothly?
It felt really weird to be nibbling on ice cream with Silver Wing while discussing serious matters... Tesla figured that this was probably just a generation gap.
"Are you always this easygoing?"
"How else should I be?"
Silver Wing thought to herself: wasn't it a bit much to ask a Masked Fool to be serious?
The Great Eruption was bound to happen. Even if she stopped it once, the Imaginary tide would simply shift and trigger a second outbreak in a short amount of time.
Short of going and killing the Cocoon right now, there was absolutely no way to stop it.
As for the Herrscher—not to mention the disgrace of a Herrscher who was nearly smashed to pieces by a single punch from a Titan Papa.
Since the Nagazora Great Eruption hadn't occurred, and Mei had transformed her gem into the Herrscher of Thunder Core, occupying that slot, the nutrients accumulated by the Cocoon would likely be transferred to the Fourth Herrscher, raising the energy level of the Herrscher of Wind.
This was perfectly normal. It was entirely possible she could be even stronger.
If the Cocoon detected an anomaly in the worldline, it would be the most normal thing in the world for it to take countermeasures specifically against Silver Wing.
But her own side...
Kiana, at normal A-rank Valkyrie level.
Mei, at normal B-rank Valkyrie peak, and a weak S-rank when logging into her Herrscher account.
Rin was unable to use the Authority of [Memory] to let Elysia unleash the power of the Herrscher of Human—at least, not right now.
Therefore, the [Ego] and [Setsuna] Flame-Chasers could only be counted as two S-rank combatants. The only downside was that Rin's power wasn't sufficient to sustain them in all-out combat for long periods.
Finally, there was Bronya herself, whose combat power mostly relied on Project Bunny, and who could be considered a short-term S-rank if she initiated a simulated self-destruct.
She felt she had already given Wendy enough respect!
Just last year during the Spring Festival, Prayer Caelus even brought Finality, Origin, and Truth to visit Wendy in the Chapter 3 boss stage to offer New Year's greetings!
Of course, a significant part of the reason was to guard against that pure-love blond over at [Schicksal] Headquarters.
After the Nagazora incident, she had inevitably caught Otto's eye.
He couldn't find her and Kiana while they were hiding in the Elysian Realm, but the moment they came out, they would definitely fall into Otto's line of sight, and what would follow...
Silver Wing looked thoughtful.
"Silver Wing, Sakura, Mei, Kiana, let's take a group photo~!"
The lively smile on Elysia's face made Silver Wing almost hallucinate her as March 7th. As expected, pink-themed girls were meant to be energetic and lively.
Then again, what did Bocchi count as?
Anti-Entropy's base in New Zealand was still a bit of a distance from Queenstown. It was located in a nearby small town, quite remote, and from the outside, it looked no different from the other buildings in the town.
"This place hasn't been built for long."
Einstein led everyone on foot into a hidden base that looked completely different from the outside. Passing through a concealed elevator in the basement, the interior was extremely modern, incredibly minimalist, and brimming with a sci-fi atmosphere.
Hurried researchers carrying various research materials walked everywhere. Upon seeing Tesla and Einstein, they all greeted them one after another, and the two nodded in response.
Entering a room resembling a conference hall, virtual screens glowing with a sci-fi blue holographic light floated everywhere.
Einstein had clearly had someone prepare in advance. After gesturing for everyone to take a seat, she looked at Silver Wing:
"To verify your hypothesis, we retrieved satellite surveillance data for analysis."
Adopting a relatively solemn posture, Einstein waved her hand and pulled up several screens.
Although Silver Wing had helped prevent the tragedy in Nagazora, this concerned a Great Eruption. Einstein and Tesla couldn't just blindly believe her claims about where it would happen based on her word alone.
"So many screens... What is this? And what is that?"
The screens displayed weather charts, as well as dense arrays of cylinders, data, and symbols. As a total academic illiterate, Kiana felt her entire paramecium brain short-circuiting, her fear of math and physics classes fully reawakened.
"These screens monitor the meteorological data for all of Oceania and even the Pacific Ocean region."
"Shortly after the Nagazora incident ended, the climate seemed to deviate from our original model calculations. We tried to analyze the structural anomaly points, but we couldn't find a definitive 'factor'."
When talking about serious matters, Tesla's tone grew noticeably calmer.
"Combined with Miss Silver Wing's intel, there is no doubt that this is indeed a precursor to a Great Eruption."
Scanning the people in the conference room, Einstein wore a serious expression and sighed slightly. "But relying purely on the current data, there's no way to determine the exact outbreak point of the Great Eruption."
If anything, the fact that Silver Wing could lock the location down to the vicinity of New Zealand right at the onset of the most minute anomalies was enough to astonish Einstein.
"Where is the [Schicksal] base in New Zealand?"
At that moment, Silver Wing suddenly spoke up to ask.
In reality, the main body of the [Schicksal] Oceania Branch was in Australia. After all, New Zealand was just an island nation, known as the loneliest country in the world.
"Why bring this up all of a sudden?" Tesla raised an eyebrow.
Did she want Anti-Entropy and [Schicksal] to cooperate in the investigation?
If it meant saving lives, she could suppress her urge to beat the crap out of that blond and temporarily face the Great Eruption together with the [Schicksal] Overseer, but the other side definitely wouldn't think the same way.
"The Gem of Desire is at the [Schicksal] base in New Zealand."
"The Gem of Desire is in New Zealand?!" the two echoed simultaneously.
Einstein and Tesla exchanged a glance, both understanding the implications of that statement.
There was an eighty percent chance [Schicksal] was running some sort of twisted experiment again!
And that was what triggered the Great Eruption!
"That damn Otto, I &&(*)..."
Dr. Tesla spat a colorful barrage of profanities, filling the air with "fragrant" words.
"Pretty girls shouldn't swear, you know."
She said that, but even Elysia found it a bit hard to keep a straight face, because Dr. Tesla's curses were incredibly foul.
Even though her outward appearance was that of a cute, beautiful twin-tailed girl, in reality...
"The New Zealand Branch is approximately 437 kilometers away from here in a straight line."
Einstein raised her hand and swiped across the virtual projection screen to bring up a map, marking the locations of their current base and the [Schicksal] Branch.
"[Schicksal]'s forces at this branch aren't considered strong, but the same goes for Anti-Entropy. The few bases we have here are almost entirely research-oriented, guarded by only a small number of Titan units."
Although there were generally three major factions fighting the Honkai on Earth, Anti-Entropy was probably the weakest in terms of head-on military strength. After all, their predecessor was just the[Schicksal] North American Branch.
"The problem is we recently received intelligence that, for some unknown reason, [Schicksal] transferred a large contingent of Valkyrie units from the Oceania Branch to the New Zealand Branch. If we immediately mobilize mechas from nearby..."
"There's no need."
Having memorized the map, the silver-haired girl stood up and chuckled softly. "Just leave it to me."
"Leave it to you... just you alone?"
Looking at the silver-haired girl's charming smile, Tesla was somewhat astonished.
"Of course not. I'll have Rin with me."
Silver Wing patted the gorgeous tachi on her back, which looked somewhat disproportionate compared to her petite frame.
"The Herrscher of Corruption from the Previous Era..."
As their gazes fell upon the magnificent tachi, Tesla and Einstein's expressions both turned solemn.
"Directly assaulting the branch isn't what a technical player should do. We're here to prevent a disaster and reform the Herrscher as much as possible. How could we act as barbarically as [Schicksal]?"
Jizo Mitama's corruption ability wasn't actually suited for frontal battlefields, with the exception of the new Authority unlocked after its Divine Awakening.
With an angelic smile, the silver-haired girl hoisted the magnificent tachi onto her shoulder and swaggered forward with an arrogant, unbridled stride:
"It's time to show off my real skills!"
"You guys try to find a way to evacuate the residents of the city near the[Schicksal] Branch. Transfer as many as you can while I put on a show... Hmm!?"
Her abruptly halted words caught everyone present slightly off guard.
"What's wrong, Silver Wing?"
Mei asked, looking at the silver-haired girl whose expression had suddenly turned subtly weird.
