Chapter 375 - Chapter 375: The Sudden Interference of Asura and Han Li’s Frustration

Chapter 375: The Sudden Interference of Asura and Han Li's Frustration

Half an hour later, within the original courtyard, a spatial gate opened, and Han Li and Qian Daoliu stepped out.

"Granduncle, stop smiling. Your method left me injured this isn't right, is it?"

Han Li looked resentfully at the cheerful Qian Daoliu, voicing his dissatisfaction.

Of course, he had never planned on letting Qian Daoliu sacrifice himself. He had already found a way to exploit a loophole in the trial system. However, the old man stubbornly refused to let him directly tell Qian Renxue. In his words, he had gone through a similar trial himself there was no way Han Li could understand the Angel Trials better than he did.

Grief followed by joy.

Such extreme emotional fluctuations would give Qian Renxue an advantage in the ninth trial. Having experienced it once and mentally prepared herself, she would find it easier to endure.

So, Han Li had cooperated in this little performance.

And then, he got bitten.

Qian Renxue had erupted with her full strength in that moment. Han Li hadn't dared to defend himself he even had to suppress his divine power protection to cooperate with the act.

Otherwise, ha… she would've lost all her teeth and ended up with a mouth full of blood.

The result? The bite marks on his hand still hadn't faded. She had even unconsciously triggered the power of laws in her outburst.

And later, when she saw that Qian Daoliu was completely unharmed while Han Li was struggling to maintain the "sacrifice ritual" with her teeth still sunk into his hand, she didn't let go immediately. In fact, she bit down even harder.

She entered the ninth trial's illusion with a smile, but Han Li was suffering.

"Xiaoxue bit you. Once she completes the trial, you can ask her for compensation," Qian Daoliu said, grinning from ear to ear. His granddaughter had successfully entered the ninth trial, her chances of passing had significantly increased, and he was still alive this was a win win situation.

He was so delighted that he couldn't even maintain the composed demeanor he had upheld for most of his life.

Hearing this, Han Li looked at him in disbelief. Was this really Qian Daoliu? Had he been replaced? Such shameless words weren't they supposed to come from his master instead? Even someone as upright as Qian Daoliu had fallen?

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'm off to drink with Dugu Bo."

Leaving behind those words, Qian Daoliu strolled out of the courtyard, leaving Han Li standing there alone. His footsteps were so light it almost seemed like he was getting married today.

"Fuck."

Han Li watched his retreating figure, raised a middle finger, and spat out a single word in frustration.

He wasn't truly angry after all, increasing Qian Renxue's chances of passing the trial was something he wanted as well. But getting played by the old fox was something he hadn't anticipated.

Just wait. When your granddaughter succeeds, I'm taking my payback, with interest.

Han Li thought viciously.

After all, he had spared Qian Renxue from the humiliation of having her ninth trial broadcasted across the entire continent. Charging a hundred percent interest wasn't excessive at all.

Biting people, huh? Just you wait, Angel girl, I'll make sure you regret it.

Tearing open space, Han Li disappeared from the courtyard.

In the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, within the healing chamber, in front of the Lake of New Life

"What happened to your hand?"

Gu Yue frowned as she noticed Han Li's right hand, which was still tainted with traces of Angelic Divine Power. Her expression remained indifferent as she asked the question.

"Got bitten," Han Li replied absentmindedly, still focused on analyzing the divine energy invading his body.

He hadn't expelled it immediately because he wanted to study the differences between this power and the so called Judgment Power. Understanding one could help him comprehend the other, deepening his research into the power of laws.

Using his obedient son, he could manipulate laws to launch attacks, but that was merely the manifestation of power it wasn't particularly useful for his own understanding.

Ironically, Qian Renxue's incomplete fragments of divine law were actually better for him to study than a fully formed one. As for actually cultivating it, he had no time for that. Surviving the current crisis took priority.

"Qian RenSnow Empressd this?"

Gu Yue continued questioning him.

"Yeah, I went out to help her complete the ninth trial."

Han Li, still intrigued by the effects of the divine power on his wound, responded casually.

"You seem… rather pleased about it?"

The voice echoed in his ears again, and only then did Han Li realize something was off.

"Pleased? What do you mean? I'm just studying divine power, comparing it with Judgment Power to see the differences."

Han Li finally lifted his head, putting on a serious expression.

He had noticed something the more time Gu Yue spent with him, the more human she became. Compared to when they first met, her emotions were now significantly richer.

Hmm, in simple terms she was becoming more like a real person.

"Give me your hand."

Gu Yue looked at him, stepped forward, and spoke in a tone devoid of fluctuations.

Han Li blinked.

Who the hell was she ordering? Didn't she know her place anymore? Did she forget who the real boss was here?

And then… he obediently extended his hand.

Without any expression, Gu Yue grabbed his hand. A green light flared up as she unceremoniously expelled the divine power within, quickly erasing the bite mark on his palm.

"You're injured. It affects your cultivation. Angelic Divine Power is incompatible with ours."

After confirming that the wound had fully healed, she let go of his hand, walked away, and sat down to resume her meditation, continuing to restore her still recovering divine soul.

Han Li stared at his now flawless palm, then at Gu Yue, who had already reentered her training state.

In his heart, he silently cursed.

Hopefully, they wouldn't start fighting the moment they met Qian Renxue's temper wasn't exactly mild. What kind of mess was this? His five official girlfriends were still in the middle of their god trials.

"If everything goes smoothly, once she comes out of seclusion, she will be a true Angel God."

Han Li sighed.

He hadn't been idle during his long stay in the Angel Shrine. Using the connection between the Angel Statue and the Divine Realm, he had reversed the flow of faith energy that had yet to be taken away, channeling the residual power stored in the Angel Shrine of the Divine Realm directly into Qian Renxue, who was still undergoing her trial.

In other words, as long as she passed the trial, she would instantly complete the divine power transformation, becoming a fully realized Angel God. With the soul core Han Li had previously condensed for her, which would evolve into a divine core upon completion, she would reach her peak state immediately completely overwhelming Bibi Dong, who had yet to enter the Divine Realm. Defeating her would be nothing more than child's play.

During this process, he had been discovered.

Just as he was finishing, he spotted Asura appearing in the Angel Shrine through the connection channel. He thought Asura would immediately sever the link.

However, the other party merely glanced at him without taking further action, as if issuing a silent warning, before vanishing without a trace.

There was something strange about the way Asura looked at him, leaving Han Li confused. But at the very least, he could be certain that, for now, Asura bore him no hostility, allowing him to relax slightly.

"Forget it. One step at a time nothing is ever truly absolute."

After pondering for a long time, Han Li gave up on guessing Asura's motives. Right now, increasing his own strength was the most important thing. Once he was strong enough, having one more Asura or one less wouldn't make a difference.

"Gu Yue, I need your help with cultivation."

Having fully integrated his divine core with the Douluo Star, Han Li, despite wasting some time during his last trip, still had a recovery speed far beyond that of others.

Looking at the now fully recovered Gu Yue, he extended an invitation for dual cultivation.

Gu Yue glanced at him indifferently, already used to his nonsense. Without a word, she first cleared away any lingering external auras he had picked up outside. Then, their divine souls intertwined once more.

It wouldn't be long now soon, she would completely master the power of Creation.

After Qian Renxue's ninth trial commenced, something unexpected happened. According to Han Li's estimates, Xiu'er, Dugu Yan, and Shui Bing'er should have needed more time to complete their seventh trials. Yet, almost simultaneously, all three reached out to him they had completed their seventh trials.

Han Li was surprised. Before he even had time to ask what had happened, news soon followed from Zhu Zhuqing, Shui Bing'er, as well as his master Guang Ling and senior Qing Luan.

Of all those undergoing inheritances, only Granduncle Jin Crocodile, who was still in the eighth trial, had yet to contact him.

This felt off. After informing Gu Yue, Han Li quickly rushed to meet the others.

"You're saying… the illusion meant to test you collapsed on its own, and then the trial was marked as complete?"

Han Li looked at Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er in front of him, unsure of what to say.

"Yes, exactly. The two of us were in separate illusions at first, but after they collapsed, we ended up together. We also received the law guidance and imprint you mentioned."

"I confirmed it Xiu'er experienced the same thing."

Shui Bing'er's expression was somewhat complicated. After speaking, she added another detail.

"So, the three of you were in the same batch…"

Something clicked in Han Li's mind. He nodded, his frown easing.

"You two wait here. I need to check on the others. Stay put until I get back."

He refrained from making any hasty conclusions. Playing it safe, he left them with a reminder before vanishing into a spatial portal.

Half an hour later, he arrived at Guang Ling's location.

"Something wrong?"

Guang Ling pulled him down to sit beside him, his body still radiating light that he hadn't fully retracted.

He had only started the seventh trial a day ago, yet he had already completed it. He seemed just as bewildered as the others, though his expression suggested he was taking it in stride.

"A little, but not much. I think I've figured it out."

Han Li grabbed some food and started eating with his master.

From what he had gathered, they had been separated into different groups.

Xiu'er, Dugu Yan, and Shui Bing'er all of whom had once entered the Slaughter City belonged to one batch.

Zhu Zhuqing and Ye LingLing were another.

His master, Guang Ling, senior Qing Luan, and his future master's wife were in yet another group.

The only one progressing at the usual pace without any interference was Jin Crocodile.

The first two groups had received their law insights and rewards without issue. However, the last group had lost their extra rewards and were left with only law comprehension clear evidence of preferential treatment.

After probing the will of the plane himself, Han Li didn't detect any major problems. At most, it would take them a bit more time to digest the laws, but even then, it was much faster than the usual process. It was as if something was simply trying to speed things up.

The only real difference was that when he examined the three who had been to the Slaughter City, their Killing God Domains had automatically activated, as if greeting him.

This was definitely Asura's doing.

Han Li really wanted to curse.
