Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning and the Misfortune

In a world filled with traits, abilities, and unique powers, people were born with extraordinary gifts. They spread across the globe and rose to fame; many became heroes using the powers demanded by the world, while others chose a darker path and became villains. Heroes fought against villains, and the world continued on its usual course.

However, not everyone was fortunate. Some were born with extremely weak or bizarre abilities, while others were born completely powerless. To this day, no one knows why humans suddenly gained these powers—and perhaps no one ever will—but that was simply the reality of the world. Why did quirks suddenly appear out of nowhere? Why did people start acquiring abilities and becoming stronger? No one truly knew the answer, nor did many care.

Think about it: if you lived your life like any normal human, and then woke up one day to find your body engulfed in a great flame that didn't burn you, but rather obeyed your command—would you stop to ponder where this power came from or how you got it? Or would you use it, train yourself, grow stronger, and then choose your path as a hero or a villain?

That is precisely what happened in this world. Quirks spread, and everyone chose their own way.

"Just give up..."

A young boy with green hair sighed softly. His school uniform was slightly scorched as he clutched a burnt, blackened notebook. He stood on the edge of a high school rooftop, gazing out at the world below.

"Born quirkless in a world full of quirks... I'm just a nobody. Nothing at all."

As those words left his mouth, tears welled up in his eyes, spilling down his cheeks—carrying all his pain, sorrow, and brokenness. He felt weak, physically and emotionally. His body was badly beaten, covered in bruises and burns.

"This is the end. I'm sorry, Mom."

With a gentle smile, Midoriya took a step forward and jumped.

The wind rushed fiercely against his face as he fell through the air.

"What happened?!"

"Damn it, that kid jumped!"

"Quick, call an ambulance!"

Distant panic and shouting echoed around Midoriya as he lay on the cold ground, blood filling his mouth and his bones shattered.

'If only I had been born with a quirk like Kacchan's... or if All Might had given me a chance... or if the world had just smiled upon me... But none of that happened. I am just a nobody.'

With these final thoughts, Midoriya softly closed his eyes, a peaceful expression settling on his face, and breathed his last.

In a world full of extraordinary abilities, Midoriya was born quirkless. He was relentlessly bullied by his childhood friend, Kacchan, and his gang. And when luck finally seemed to side with him and he met the greatest hero, All Might, he was told he could never become a hero.

In another world, millions of light-years away from Midoriya's...

"The Great Alliance has arrived!"

"They are the young masters of all the great sects!"

"Don't lose hope, we will prevail!"

Fierce shouts filled the air as a massive army surrounded a towering mountain. At its peak stood a single young man—no older than twenty. He had long black hair and wore torn, blood-drenched robes. His left arm was gone, and his face was battered and covered in blood.

"You hypocritical Righteous Alliance! You committed the greatest crime!" the young man roared in fury at the surrounding forces. "The leader of the Righteous Alliance murdered my entire family! Was it not my right to seek revenge?! Was it not my right to fight back?! Yet in your eyes, I am nothing but a damned demon!"

A young cultivator clad in elegant white and gold robes stepped forward, levitating in the air as he looked down upon him.

"Heavenly Demon! You didn't stop at killing the leader of the Righteous Alliance! You slaughtered his wives, his children, his entire lineage—even his six-month-old infant died by your hands! You do not deserve to be called human, nor even a demon. You are a vile creature, and your fate is death. Surrender now, and I promise you a swift demise."

The young man, known as the Heavenly Demon, chuckled bitterly.

"I am the Heavenly Demon. I have committed many terrible acts in my life and I do not deny them, but I have never slaughtered innocents or children! All of this is merely a scheme you devised to steal the Reincarnation Array from me!"

He sneered, drawing out a dark, glowing talisman array and holding it high.

"So he really has it!"

"Don't let him do anything foolish! Attack now!"

The crowd surged forward, taking to the air. The Heavenly Demon smiled with pride, channeling his energy to ignite the array, burning it to ashes. He then slammed his hand against his own chest.

"You bastards! I swear, if there is a next life, I will return and take revenge on this entire world!"

A vast, overwhelming power burst from his body. Without hesitation, his physical form exploded as he laughed with pride and satisfaction.

"Damn it! After years of effort, we got nothing!"

"It's all over..."

In the vast, endless darkness, the spirit of the Great Heavenly Demon drifted peacefully as consciousness slowly faded.

'No end to death, no beginning to life... I am merely an instrument for something greater. I am the Heavenly Demon—unbroken, unbowed, never yielding to anyone. I am content.'

A faint smile touched his spirit before it vanished into the void.

"Hey kid, are you alright?"

"Huh...?"

"Looks like you're still in pain."

The Heavenly Demon opened his eyes, looking around in utter confusion. He was in a strange environment, completely different from anything he had ever known. He lay on a raised white bed inside a clean, white room, with strange devices attached to his body.

'Am I dreaming? No... this is real. Was I captured by the Righteous Alliance and subjected to illusion magic? And who is this old hag?'

He stared at the tiny, elderly woman standing beside him.

'I'm in an unknown place with a shattered body. Almost all my bones are broken, and my dantian is destroyed—I can't feel a trace of internal energy. Is this because of the Reincarnation Array's explosion?'

He tried to move, but couldn't. He tried to speak, but bandages tightly bound his mouth, neck, and head.

"Alright, back to work," the old woman murmured, leaning in close.

The Heavenly Demon steeled his mind. 'These bastards think they can break me with illusions and torture from an old woman? Do whatever you want, I will never submit!'

He prepared himself for excruciating pain, but instead felt a pair of aged lips plant a gentle kiss on him.

He shuddered in shock, his eyes widening. 'What on earth is this crazy old hag doing?!'

Before he could struggle or scream, a strange energy washed over his body. The agonizing pain vanished, his shattered bones reassembled, and a surge of vitality returned to his frame.

"How are you feeling now, young man?" the old woman asked with a warm smile.

Before he could process what had happened, a glowing interface materialized before his eyes:

[Congratulations on a Successful Transmigration!] > Due to the detonation of the Eternal Reincarnation Array, your soul has been transferred to another world. > I am the System, here to assist you, Host.

The Heavenly Demon stared at the floating window, completely baffled.

'Damn it... am I in Hell right now?'
