Chapter 688 - chapter 678 Shadows of the Past

The clock on the wall struck precisely one past midnight. Inside the VIP lounge, the heavy, thick red velvet curtains were suddenly drawn shut, completely sealing off the interior world from the rest of reality. In the dim, shadowy light of the private room, only two tangled figures were visible.

Outside, it was the dead of night; inside, a fierce, raging storm was unfolding. Alia clutched the white bedsheets tightly in both hands, her knuckles turning white as her desperate grip strained the fabric to its breaking point. Tears streamed endlessly down her face, mixing with muffled sobs and heavy, broken gasps escaping her throat.

Her body trembled continuously, and the entire wooden frame of the bed rocked violently with each heavy, rhythmic thrust. The mysterious man showed no mercy, maintaining his absolute, relentless dominance over her as he carried on. With every ragged breath Alia took, she was enveloped in the exhaustion of surrender and the intoxicating, unmistakable scent of Viktor that clung to the man's skin. Shattering the deep silence of the room, the creaking of the bed and Alia's soft weeping became the only truths left in the world.Tears streamed down Alia's face, mixing with the smudged makeup and eyeliner on her cheeks. Caught in the suffocating whirlwind of overwhelming sensation and distress, she could no longer hold herself together. Trembling violently from a volatile mix of physical agony and emotional breaking point, she choked out a sob and pleaded through her broken voice,

"Please... forgive me. What did I ever do to you? Why are you punishing me like this?"

But Alia's pitiful cries and desperate begging had zero effect on the man looming over her. If anything, hearing those words only darkened the predatory look in his eyes, making it even more savage and feral. The pent-up fury and unquenchable lust inside him surged like a broken dam.

He didn't bother to offer a single word in response. A cruel, merciless smirk played on his lips as he abruptly accelerated his pace, driving into her with a savage, punishing intensity that multiplied tenfold. With every brutal thrust, Alia's body shuddered violently against the mattress, and the violent rocking of the bed frame made the entire room feel like it was trembling.

Alia's hands still desperately clawed at the white bedsheet, gripping the fabric so tightly her knuckles ached, as if holding onto that flimsy piece of cloth was the last thread of her existence. Her voice fractured completely, leaving her unable to form another coherent sentence; only stifled moans and heavy, ragged gasps filled the suffocating air of the room. He turned every single second of that night into an endless, agonizing trial for Alia, while indulging his own primal, unbridled euphoria. Every droplet of sweat glistening on his muscular frame, combined with Alia's scattered, tangled hair, cast a dark, suffocating, and fiercely intense atmosphere over the secluded room.

The haunting sound of Alia's desperate cries and sobs hung heavily in the suffocating air of the room. Yet, not a single trace of remorse or hesitation flickered across the man's face. Instead, pinning both of her wrists firmly against the mattress on either side of her head, he suddenly burst into a bizarre, distorted, and unhinged laugh.

His cold, echoing laughter seemed to vibrate through the entire room. Laughing softly, he leaned down directly over Alia's face, maintaining that crooked, chilling smirk at the corner of his lips as he whispered mockingly in a heavy, ice-cold Russian accent:Твои слезы такие сладкие, моя маленькая бунтарка... Ты думала, сможешь спрятаться от меня? Плачь, умоляй сколько хочешь... но из моих объятий тебе больше никогда не вырваться."

Your tears are so sweet, my little rebel... Did you really think you could hide from me? Cry, beg all you want... but you will never escape my embrace againBefore the echo of his ice-cold Russian words could even fade, he grew even more feral and reckless. To him, all of Alia's resistance and tears were nothing more than fuel for a primal game. Pinning her wrists down even harder on either side of her head, he let his full weight press down onto her.

The wooden framework of the bed groaned continuously, rattling violently under the relentless, rhythmic force of his movements. Exhausted and overwhelmed by the agony, Alia could barely keep her eyes open; only broken sighs and muffled moans escaped her lips. Yet, there was no hesitation or pause in him; with every deep, powerful thrust, the air in the room grew heavier and more suffocating.

Outside, the clock ticked past one in the morning, while inside the sealed VIP lounge, the fury and intensity of their physical union reached a fever pitch. Amidst the dim, shadowy light, the two sweat-slicked bodies locked together in an endless, consuming dance of darkness.

Gripping Alia tightly around her waist, the young man pulled her flush against him, her hips locked entirely within the iron grip of his muscular hands. The intensity of that wild, primal rhythm was so absolute that any remaining space between Alia's body and the mattress seemed to vanish entirely.

With a flawless yet overwhelmingly powerful thrust of his hips, he dominated her completely. Pulling her waist into his palms with every single stroke, he drove her to the very edge of sensation, making her feel as though she were suspended in mid-air amid a storm of pure electricity. Completely broken down by the agonizing blend of pain, exhaustion, and a strange, consuming trance, Alia trembled uncontrollably as endless, shuddering sighs slipped from her lips.

The air inside the entire lounge grew thick and heavy with their heated breaths and sweat. Even as the clock continued its march forward outside, there was no pause or end to the reckless, breathless dance of darkness within that sealed room instead, it only grew fiercer, pulling them both deeper into its grip.

Mid-motion, gripped tightly by the waist, the young man suddenly hoisted Alia up into his arms, lifting her off the mattress. Even with her suspended against him, the ferocious, breathless rhythm of their physical connection didn't falter for a single second; instead, the dynamic shifted into something even more dizzying and intense.

In her dazed and utterly exhausted state, Alia instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around his broad shoulders, clinging to him as the sudden change in position left her entirely at his mercy. Supported effortlessly by the crushing strength of his muscular arms, he held her against him, shifting his stance to drive into her with an even deeper, more uncompromising angle.

The heavy silence of the room was shattered only by the friction of their sweat-slicked skin, the deep, ragged gasps echoing off the walls, and the raw intensity of their unbroken embrace, pushing them further into the dark, feverish heat of the night.

A long, trembling cry escaped Alia's throat entirely against her will. Through her blurred vision, caught in a suffocating haze of overwhelming sensation and agony, she gasped out a single, broken name:

"Viktor...!"

That fractured whisper rippled through the heavy silence of the room. But hearing that name only fanned the flames inside the man, making him burn even hotter and wilder. Holding her suspended in his arms, he grew even more fierce and reckless, as if hidden within that single name lay all their past history, every unspoken resentment, and a dark, obsessive hunger. Outside, the clock seemed frozen in time, while inside the sealed room, their consuming dance of absolute dominance and passion raged on without end.

After that prolonged and breathless wave of madness, the intensity finally subsided slightly. Shivering, Alia managed to pull away from him, quickly wrapping a white sheet around her body as she curled up in the corner of the sofa. Her entire frame was still trembling, her cheeks stained with tears, and heavy, exhausted breaths heaved from her chest.

Right then, standing in the dim light of the room, Viktor took a step forward. A deep, cold, and triumphant smirk lingered at the corner of his lips. Standing right in front of her, he spoke in a cool, quiet, yet mocking tone:

"So, you finally recognized me, didn't you? For so long you've been running away like a shadow, yet today you've ended up right back in my arms anyway."

Not a single word escaped Alia's lips. She simply stared in absolute shock at Viktor the very man whose touch and presence had turned her entire world upside down just moments before. Seeing her silence, Viktor smiled faintly. Stepping back just a fraction to maintain a steady posture, he began to speak in a calm yet enigmatic voice:

"You thought everything turned to ash in that fire that day, didn't you? You thought I was gone forever beneath those ruins? Well, listen then... listen to how I managed to survive that day, and why I've finally come back to stand right in front of you..."

Keeping his gaze fixed entirely on Alia, Viktor took a slow step forward through the dim, shadowy light of the room. The enigmatic smirk still lingered at the corner of his lips. He began to speak in a calm yet heavy, deliberate voice:

"Just think back to that exact day... the day you shot me with your own hands. The bullet you fired struck me straight in the chest. In that exact moment, everything around us froze, my body was drowning in blood, and you thought it was all over... that my breath had stopped forever."

Viktor paused for a second, letting out a cold, chilling laugh. Stepping even closer to Alia, he gently lifted her chin with the tip of his fingers, his voice dropping to an ice-cold whisper:

"But you forgot one thing, Alia... death doesn't claim me that easily. That day, while I was bleeding out and everyone assumed I was dead, my most loyal people materialized out of the shadows just in time. Without wasting a single second, they rushed me straight to the underground's finest surgeons. They dragged me back from the jaws of death, mere inches away from the end. It took time for those deep physical wounds to heal, but the fire inside me never extinguished for even a single second."

Bringing his face down close to her ear, he murmured softly:

"And that very fire is what kept me alive. I crawled back from the dead for one sole purpose to settle every single score... Tell me, how do you plan to pay for that mistake of yours now?"
