Chapter 687 - chapter 677 freeze the blood

The dazzling chandeliers bathed the elite party hall in a brilliant, glittering glow. Right at that moment, a majestic black Rolls-Royce pulled up smoothly to the entrance and came to a halt. As soon as the car stopped, the chauffeur hurried over to open the back door.

Alia stepped out. That night, she was the epitome of breathtaking beauty her extraordinary, ethereal elegance and frost-kissed grace practically made the surrounding air stand still. She wore a gown of such mesmerizing, striking allure that the moment she set foot inside the doorway, every single guest in the hall turned to stare in absolute astonishment, completely forgetting how to blink.

Amidst all those transfixed, awestruck gazes, Alia gracefully extended her hand. Perched delicately upon her palm was a magnificent, regal white Persian cat with fur as pristine as snow and eyes like pure sapphires. Paying no mind to anyone around her, she walked forward with a chilling, hardened composure in her chest and the quiet fury of an impending storm. The Alia of today was no longer the fragile girl of the past she was now a queen forged in the fires of vengeance.

As Alia walked gracefully into the grand hall, the entire room's chatter fell dead silent in an instant. Every influential guest and elite figure stood transfixed, staring at her with their jaws dropped her ethereal beauty and frost-chilled gaze weighed heavily upon the atmosphere.

Not a single person dared to speak; an eerie stillness blanketed the room. Right at that moment, Alia stepped forward, signaling a waiter to order a glass of premium red wine. The waiter hurriedly handed her the crystal glass.

Holding the glass of wine without taking a single sip, she set it aside on a nearby table and walked straight to the center of the marble dance floor. From the DJ booth, a deep, intoxicating, and intense dark phonk beat began to pulse through the air. To that heavy, breathtaking rhythm, Alia began to dance. Every single step she took held a lethal, magnetic allure, while her eyes burned with the fire of pure vengeance a sight that left every single person in that room frozen to their core.

As Alia's fiery and mesmerizing dance came to an end, everyone in the hall remained trapped in a strange trance. Swept up by the heavy dark phonk beat and her flawless movements, a few of the guests gradually joined in on the floor, while others watched in spellbound awe.

After a few moments, when the rhythm finally faded, Alia collapsed back against a plush VIP sofa, her chest heaving softly from exhaustion. Tiny beads of sweat glistened on her forehead, but the icy, sharp gaze in her eyes hadn't lost an ounce of its ferocity. She crossed her legs with effortless elegance, waiting to catch her breath.

Right at that moment, a bodyguard stepped forward, bowing his head respectfully before speaking in a low, cautious whisper:

"Ma'am... you are being summoned in the VIP lounge upstairs."

Alia lifted her gaze from the wine glass, looking at the bodyguard with a cold, indifferent stare. There wasn't a single hint of curiosity in her voice only a chilling annoyance. She asked in a calm, flat tone:

"Who called me?"

The bodyguard swallowed hard, cold sweat beginning to form on his forehead. Clearing his trembling throat with great difficulty, he whispered in a fearful voice:

"I don't know, ma'am... But whoever is calling you, I don't even have the courage to utter his name. However... he is extremely powerful."

The distinct panic and terror stamped across the bodyguard's face did not escape Alia's notice. She could tell that someone was waiting upstairs whose very name made ordinary people's blood run cold. But the Alia of today held no fear having looked death right in the eye, she was no longer afraid of anyone.

Alia slowly walked up the dark corridor of the VIP lounge. Pulling aside the heavy velvet curtain, she stepped inside and saw that the room was wreathed in a faint haze of smoke. In the center, a dancer was performing with mesmerizing, alluring movements on a small stage.

However, Alia's gaze didn't linger there. Her eyes locked instantly onto a figure sitting in the far corner of the room.

It was a young man. He wore a black shirt, unbuttoned down the chest, exposing his toned, muscular torso. He held a glass of red wine in one hand while swaying lightly to the rhythm of the music.

As Alia stepped closer, the neon light caught the man's face, and she froze dead in her tracks.

His face, his piercing gaze, the distinct curve of his lips everything was an exact, chilling mirror image of Viktor! Even the specific tattoo that Viktor used to wear was glowing vividly on this man's wrist.

It was as if the dead Viktor had returned and was standing right before her in the exact same flesh. Alia couldn't believe her own eyes was this a cruel hallucination of her shattered mind, or had Viktor truly come back from the dead?

No... no, I don't believe this! It's impossible!"—Alia stammered, shaking her head as she tried to back away. Her head was spinning, and her mind completely refused to accept this cruel illusion.

The exact second she turned on her heel to walk away, a hand shot out with lightning speed from behind, gripping her slim waist tightly and yanking her back against a solid frame.

The mysterious young man pulled her flush against his chest. His warm breath brushed heavily against her earlobe and the soft skin of her neck. At that very moment, a chilling, heavy whisper in fluent Russian slipped from his lips:

"Думала, сможешь сбежать от меня, моя маленькая куколка? Мертвецы не так просто возвращаются... но ради тебя я восстал из самого ада.". Did you really think you could run away from me, my little doll? The dead don't return this easily... but for you, I have risen straight from hell.Alia stammered in a breathless, trembling voice,

"You... why are you speaking in Russian? Who are you?!"

A strange, enigmatic, and crooked smirk played at the corner of the young man's lips. Lowering his face even closer to Alia's ear, he whispered in a cold, indifferent tone:

"I don't know..."

A tremor ran through Alia's entire body, a potent mix of fear and electricity. That unfamiliar yet intimately familiar touch sent a violent jolt straight to her core. The young man slowly slid his hand down from her waist, letting it rest gently against her thigh a touch as chilling as it was intensely searing.

He then buried his face deeper into the curve of her neck and pressed a deep, lingering, and intensely passionate kiss against the sensitive skin of her throat. The heat of that deep kiss wrenched a soft, breathless gasp from Alia's lips, and the surrounding air felt as though it had completely frozen in time.

Lifting his face away from her neck, the young man flicked his gaze toward the dancer performing in the center and gave a sharp, silent gesture with his eyes, ordering her to leave the room. Lowering her head without a single word, the dancer quickly slipped out of the VIP lounge, the heavy velvet curtain falling back into place behind her.

A profound, breathless silence settled over the entire room. Amidst the dim, hazy lighting and the heavy atmosphere, only Alia and the mysterious young man remained standing alone together.

Caught completely off guard by the sudden shift in his demeanor, Alia didn't even have a second to react. In a fraction of a second, the young man's calm and composed posture morphed into a raw, untamed aggression. He abruptly let go of her waist, grabbed her by the shoulders, and slammed her hard against the back wall.

The left side of Alia's head struck the hard stone framework of the wall with a sharp, jarring impact. A wave of blinding pain made her vision swim, and a sharp gasp caught in her throat. Her head pounded heavily, and through her blurred sight, she watched him stalk toward her like a predator closing in on its trapped prey.

He stopped right in front of her, the look in his eyes stripped of all warmth, replaced instead by a fierce, violent possessiveness. Seizing both of her wrists, he pinned them tightly in his grip against the wall, ensuring she had no room to escape. His muscular frame pressed close, trapping her completely.

Bringing his face dangerously close to hers so close that their breaths mingled in the charged air he lowered his voice into a low, rumpering growl, "Where do you think you're running, Alia? The shadow you've been trying so desperately to outrun has finally caught up with you. Do you really think you can just erase your past?"

Alia tried to lift a hand to massage her throbbing temple, but his iron grip kept her immobile. The heavy, intoxicating scent of his cologne the exact, unmistakable fragrance of Viktor was launching an absolute assault on her frayed nerves. She realized with a jolt that this man wasn't just trying to corner her physically; he was tearing down her psychological defenses entirely, making her heart hammer so violently against her ribs it felt as though it might shatter her chest.

After pinning her wrists mercilessly against the wall, the cruel smirk at the corner of the young man's lips deepened. Without giving her a single second to recover, he suddenly hoisted her up and threw her hard onto the large, plush mattress nearby.

Alia's body collapsed onto the bed like a broken leaf. Before the sharp throbbing in her head could even begin to fade, she realized that predator-like man was already looming over her.

With a chillingly deliberate yet frantic and savage intensity, the young man slowly began to unbutton the remaining buttons of his shirt, tearing them open before sliding off his belt and pants. A dark, maddening frenzy danced in his eyes enough to freeze the blood in anyone's veins.

Feeling the cold, heavy weight of that unhinged presence pressing down over her, all of Alia's pride and icy armor shattered into dust. A single tear slipped from the corner of her eye, but alongside it, a breathless, desperate plea ripped straight from her throat:

"Tear it off... take off this suffocating dress of mine!"
