Chapter 428: Arrival in an Unknown Realm
With just a single punch, Uchiha Dali shattered the dimensional barrier that had once resisted even the combined efforts of himself, Shibai, and several other gods.
Effortlessly breaking through, he entered the normal world he had seen before.
The blue sky and white clouds were still the same.
Everything here looked peaceful and beautiful, as if nothing had changed.
Curious, Uchiha Dali unleashed his Observation Haki, sensing the world's energy in detail—but after a thorough scan, he was somewhat disappointed.
This planet was enormous, by far the largest he had ever encountered.
Even spreading his Observation Haki across its surface would take some time to fully cover it. Yet, despite its vastness, he detected no exceptionally powerful auras.
"This doesn't feel like what I imagined a higher dimension to be... I thought there'd be beings everywhere strong enough to rival gods."
Muttering to himself, Uchiha Dali continued to expand his Observation Haki, probing further into the distance.
Before long, his field of awareness covered everything. He did sense a few decent auras—but compared to his current level, they were still far too weak.
That realization put him at ease.
"It seems that at least within this galaxy, there's no one particularly dangerous."
Thinking that, Uchiha Dali began flying forward calmly, intending to take in the planet's scenery and learn a bit about its civilizations and customs.
Meanwhile, his Observation Haki kept extending outward, spreading toward more distant galaxies.
At his level, his perception was nearly limitless.
He even considered exploring the entire higher dimension in one sweep—discovering just how vast it was, and what kind of beings existed within it.
After about five seconds of expansion, Uchiha Dali's expression suddenly stiffened.
Within his range of perception, in the neighboring galaxy, he sensed several extraordinarily powerful auras.
Their energy felt different—distinct from chakra-based power—but their strength was by no means inferior to the elite Ōtsutsuki he'd once faced. In fact, they might even be stronger.
This was the conclusion Uchiha Dali reached after analyzing their energy signatures in full.
"Interesting. Finally, some strong ones appear."
A faint smile curved across Uchiha Dali's lips.
He abandoned his plan to explore this planet and prepared to head toward that galaxy to investigate.
But just as he was about to move, a sudden attack shot up from the jungle below, streaking straight toward him.
"Hm?"
Sensing the oncoming strike, Uchiha Dali looked down curiously.
From the lush, primitive forest below, an enormous, mountain-sized figure rose into the sky.
It was an ugly, bloated, dinosaur-like monster.
At the same time, it was the most powerful being on this planet—relatively speaking.
But to Uchiha Dali, it was nothing more than a mortal creature.
What surprised him wasn't that it dared to attack, but that its aura, which had been a million kilometers away just moments ago, had suddenly appeared before him to strike.
That kind of instantaneous movement rivaled space-time ninjutsu—enough to pique his interest.
Uchiha Dali ignored the incoming attack, instead watching the creature with curiosity. "You can speak, can't you?"
"Do you understand my language?"
"Do you speak the universal tongue of the cosmos?"
To his mild surprise, the dinosaur-like creature actually understood him and responded.
Meanwhile, its attack had already reached Uchiha Dali—but vanished into nothingness the instant it got close, as if erased from existence.
The creature's eyes widened in shock.
"The universal tongue, huh? Well, as long as you can understand me…"
Nodding inwardly, Uchiha Dali continued, "You don't seem like some mindless beast. Let me ask you—where is this place?"
"And do you know what this universe is called?"
"You strange creature! Why should I tell you anything?!"
Enraged by the question, the dinosaur monster roared and swung its massive weapon toward him.
A huge energy sphere crackling with lightning shot out, hurtling at Uchiha Dali.
"Not willing to cooperate? Then I'll just find out myself."
With a wave of his hand, the attack disappeared instantly.
Then, reaching out through space, Uchiha Dali grasped at the air—the creature's mind was laid bare as he rapidly extracted its memories.
A few seconds later, he understood everything about this planet.
The creature was its ruler, though its name was far too long to bother repeating.
Unfortunately, it knew nothing about the wider universe—not even beyond its own star system.
"What a waste of time."
Uchiha Dali lost all interest. Turning away, he vanished from sight.
——
Earth. On a rooftop.
Piccolo looked down at the street below, watching Gohan stroll hand in hand with his fiancée, laughing and chatting sweetly. His face twisted in mild disdain and disapproval.
But the next moment, his pupils contracted sharply. He instinctively looked up at the sky.
Far above, something terrifying seemed to be approaching, making his expression grow darker and more tense. His eyes flickered restlessly.
"S-such an overwhelming aura… What is that thing?!"
Forgetting all about his disappointing student, Piccolo shot into the air, his ki flaring as he sped toward the direction of the immense, mysterious power, determined to investigate.
"Huh?"
Down on the street, Gohan suddenly stopped, turning back toward the spot where Piccolo had been standing.
"What's wrong, Gohan?"
Videl noticed his strange reaction and stopped as well, following his gaze curiously.
"Strange… I could've sworn I just sensed Mr. Piccolo's energy."
"Did I misread it?"
Scratching his head, Gohan muttered to himself.
Seeing his puzzled look, Videl laughed. "You're probably just nervous. After all, we're getting married soon."
"Maybe you're right."
Gohan laughed heartily, rubbing the back of his head. "Let's go, Videl."
Though he turned away with a smile, an inexplicable unease lingered in his heart.
That feeling just now—he was sure it hadn't been an illusion.
"Maybe I've just been slacking off lately… My sensing ability must've gotten rusty."
He brushed it off in thought, but didn't dwell on it further.
Meanwhile, the other superheroes on Earth weren't taking things nearly as lightly.
