Behind the heavily fortified walls of Sunagakure, the shinobi worked at a frantic, desperate pace.
They directed the skittering biomechanical Samehada units to gorge themselves on the raw energy pouring from Kumogakure's Chakra Cannons.
Simultaneously, swarms of mechanic puppets rushed to the blistering impact zones.
They welded and repaired the twenty massive breaches until the glowing craters began to seal completely.
Outside the village, the three-hundred-thousand-strong Allied Shinobi Forces watched Kumogakure's artillery with bated breath.
The Chakra Cannons were undeniably terrifying.
Their deafening roar shook the very foundations of the world, and their concentrated beams burned brighter than the midday sun.
Even those standing miles away could feel the apocalyptic shockwaves, the blinding flashes, and the violent tremors tearing through the earth.
The cannons had struck their target with devastating kinetic force.
Twenty cannons had blown twenty colossal holes straight into Sunagakure's outer shell.
Yet, despite the continuous beam of chakra feeding directly into those breaches, something was horribly wrong.
After the initial violent earthquake, the desert village simply stopped reacting.
The four generations of Raikage exchanged bewildered, frantic glances.
The First, Second, and Third Ay all slowly turned their heads to glare daggers at the Fourth.
"This is the ultimate Chakra Cannon you built?" the Third Raikage growled, veins bulging on his neck.
"Why are the results completely different from what you promised?"
Facing the heavy, judgmental stares of his legendary predecessors, the Fourth Ay sweat bullets under the immense pressure.
'It shouldn't be like this,' he thought frantically, his mind racing.
'One shot is supposed to be enough to vaporize a mountain!'
A short distance away, Tsunade and the Konoha forces let out a collective, shaky breath of relief.
Sunagakure's defenses were absurdly, almost impossibly resilient.
High above the war-torn battlefield, Mufasa threw his head back and laughed.
Inside his command center, the village's energy grid metrics skyrocketed off the charts.
'Ninety-five percent. Ninety-six percent. Ninety-seven percent.'
'As expected of Kumogakure,' Mufasa mused with a dark smirk.
'When their entire village pools their chakra together, they pack enough juice to fully charge my city.'
"Look!" a sharp-eyed Hyuga scout suddenly shouted from the front lines, pointing frantically.
"The craters! They're healing!"
Gasps of horror rippled through the Allied Shinobi Forces as every eye locked onto the massive impact zones.
Hashirama Senju tilted his head, his face a mask of utter bafflement.
"How is that even possible?"
Tsunade stepped up beside her grandfather, her expression grim.
"It's a memory-shape alloy produced exclusively by Sunagakure," she explained.
"By feeding it raw energy, the metal automatically reconstructs itself. We actually use it in our own village infrastructure."
Hashirama watched the metal seal itself seamlessly, the alloy flowing like liquid.
The rest of the alliance watched in paralytic horror.
Dammit, the vaunted Chakra Cannon was completely useless against this monster.
The expressions of the Raikage darkened with pure, unadulterated fury.
The Third Ay cracked his knuckles, glaring at the Fourth.
'You little brat. Just wait until tonight. I'm going to beat you half to death.'
"Cut the power! Stop firing!" the Fourth Ay bellowed frantically, desperate to salvage his remaining dignity.
The twenty Chakra Cannons sputtered, hissed, and died out in a whimper of sparks.
The biomechanical alloys of the village instantly sealed the remaining breaches.
Within seconds, the sprawling metal fortress looked entirely brand new.
But it was too late to stop the inevitable.
Sunagakure's energy reserves had already reached maximum capacity.
"Hahaha!" Mufasa's booming laughter echoed across the barren desert like rolling thunder.
"Your cannons are spent, so now it's my turn to throw a punch!"
Mufasa looked down at the sprawling alliance, a vicious, predatory grin splitting his face.
"We had a deal to stand perfectly still for each other's attacks. But I'm feeling generous, so I'll give you one last chance to run."
The Raikage practically vibrated with rage at the blatant, condescending disrespect.
"Hmph! You could punch me a hundred times, and I still wouldn't move an inch!" the Fourth Ay roared back.
Kumogakure shinobi prided themselves on their physical conditioning and impenetrable Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
To them, Mufasa was just an arrogant, frail man with thin arms.
How much damage could one single punch possibly do?
Mufasa slowly clapped his hands, the sound amplified across the dunes.
"Perfect. I absolutely love that unruly attitude of yours."
"Brace yourselves," Mufasa warned, slowly raising both hands to the sky.
"Sunagakure! Metroplex, transform!"
'Transform? What did that even mean?'
The shinobi of the Allied Army stared up at him in utter, terrified bewilderment.
BOOM. BOOM.
The desert sands violently lurched beneath their feet, throwing thousands off balance.
"Earthquake!" a shinobi screamed in sheer panic.
"The ground is giving way!"
Chaos erupted through the disciplined ranks as a massive whirlpool of shifting dunes formed at the base of the metal village.
The desert literally became a raging river of crushing, churning sand.
Countless unlucky shinobi lost their footing, swept toward the grinding maw beneath the fortress.
Hashirama Senju immediately sprang into action, his battle-hardened instincts taking over.
Slamming his palms together, his immense chakra flared into existence.
"Sage Art, Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
A massive thicket of twisting, durable roots burst from the sands.
The wooden barricade acted as a net, catching the sweeping shinobi before they could be swallowed alive.
The ear-splitting grind of tearing metal and shifting tectonic plates echoed across the entire continent.
Everyone finally understood what was happening, their blood running cold.
Sunagakure was uprooting itself from the bedrock.
The entire village was rising into the sky.
The massive metallic domes and reinforced steel walls shifted, unlocking and rearranging like colossal puzzle pieces.
Sunagakure assumed a terrifying, unfathomably large humanoid shape.
It formed two mountainous legs of reinforced steel, plated with heavy, interlocking armor that gleamed under the desert sun.
Its sweeping arms were massive hydraulic pistons capable of leveling cities, ending in broad, silver-black fists.
The central command tower shifted and locked into place, forming a towering, angular head.
It was topped with a sleek, silver faceplate completely devoid of human emotion.
Glowing crimson optical sensors flared to life, burning through the dust clouds like twin, merciless suns.
It was as if an entire mountain range had decided to pull itself out of the earth and become a mechanical titan.
No one in the history of the shinobi world had ever witnessed anything like this.
Even the legendary reincarnated Kage stared slack-jawed at the apocalyptic spectacle before them.
The sheer, overwhelming scale of Metroplex was incomprehensible.
Its towering, armored height physically blocked out the sun, casting a sprawling shadow of death over the army.
A single one of its metallic fists was larger than an entire mountain peak.
Mufasa floated down from the sky, landing smoothly atop the titan's head like an insignificant speck of dust.
"Kumogakure! Remember our deal! Do not run!" Mufasa's voice boomed through the mecha's colossal acoustic arrays.
Metroplex slowly, deliberately drew back its monolithic right arm.
"Let's see if you can handle five years of Sunagakure's hard work in a single punch!"
The colossal fist plummeted toward the Kumogakure forces like a falling meteor.
Inside the titan, massive chakra engines thrummed in perfect, terrifying unison.
The grinding of continent-sized gears echoed for thousands of miles.
The mecha's optical sensors locked onto the shinobi like ants beneath a boot.
Towering higher than the tallest peaks in the Land of Wind, the titan shifted its heavy stance.
It drove a silver-plated foot into the earth right before the Kumogakure front lines, violently shaking the Demon Desert.
The Raikage craned their necks upward, staring at calves thicker than entire mountain ranges.
Looking into the cold, emotionless metallic visage, their battle-hardened hearts genuinely shuddered with fear.
'So this is the true power of Sunagakure,' Hashirama realized, a sickening pit forming in his stomach.
'It's not some hidden legendary shinobi, it's the village itself.'
Time seemed to freeze entirely on the chaotic battlefield.
Despite being a lifeless machine, Metroplex possessed an aura of absolute, crushing dominance.
Behind its unblinking silver mask, it looked peaceful, lacking any trace of human arrogance.
Yet, it was completely unattainable, an apex predator gazing down upon insignificant mortals.
'Even if the Sage of Six Paths stood before this thing, he would be crushed like an insect!' Hashirama thought, awe-struck by the sheer mechanical perfection.
The broad, silver-black fist continued its descent, eclipsing the very sky.
Though the movement appeared agonizingly slow, the sheer, unimaginable scale made it completely inescapable.
With every inch it fell, the atmospheric pressure exponentially doubled, forcing the ordinary shinobi to their knees.
The four generations of Raikage felt their very bones groan and creak under the crushing gravity.
A strike of this magnitude wouldn't just kill them; it would reduce them to atomic powder.
The Kage stood paralyzed by the sheer absurdity of the situation.
They had prepared to take a taijutsu strike.
They hadn't prepared for a continent falling on their heads.
The rest of the three-hundred-thousand-strong army fared no better, frozen in absolute, suffocating despair.
Mortals often boasted of slaying demons and toppling legends in their drunken tales.
But right now, the mechanical titan descending upon them was an engine built explicitly for slaughtering legends.
The entire battlefield fell into a deafening, deathly silence.
The Kumogakure forces violently trembled under the descending shadow.
The raw terror of the incoming strike completely short-circuited their survival instincts.
But this one-sided massacre was entirely unacceptable.
A blur of motion suddenly flashed to the very front of the four Raikage.
It was the God of Shinobi himself.
Hashirama's eyes burned with a fierce, righteous fury.
Without wasting a single word, he unrolled a massive summoning scroll across the sand.
Deep red sage markings instantly bloomed across his face, pulsing with raw natural energy.
He drew a wide circle with his hands and slammed his palms violently into the earth.
"Sage Art, Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands!" Hashirama roared.
BOOM!
The earth violently ruptured once again.
A colossal, thousand-armed wooden Kan'on statue erupted from the bedrock behind the First Hokage.
Yet, even this legendary, god-like construct barely reached Metroplex's ankle.
"Hashirama Senju, you really don't play by the rules," Mufasa's amused voice echoed from the heavens.
"I stood perfectly still and let your alliance blast me!"
"Now it's your turn to stand and take a punch. What's the problem?"
Hashirama furiously craned his neck upward, his fists clenched tightly.
Mufasa's figure was completely obscured by the high-altitude cloud cover, looking like nothing more than a vague speck in the sky.
"You call this a punch?!" Hashirama screamed back, his voice thick with outrage.
"Do you realize how many people you will slaughter with a strike this size?! Have you no compassion at all?!"
Mufasa let out a chilling, mechanical sneer that reverberated through the titan's speakers.
"Hahaha! When you held the advantage, you spoke only with your fists."
"But now that you're outmatched, you want to preach about morality?"
"You wanted me to be simple," Mufasa taunted mercilessly.
"Don't speak to me of sympathy now. I'm just throwing one, simple punch."
Gritting his teeth, Hashirama poured every remaining drop of his Sage chakra into his wooden statue.
"I won't let you slaughter them!" Hashirama roared.
"Then let's see you stop me," Mufasa replied coldly.
Metroplex's apocalyptic fist accelerated its descent, breaking the sound barrier.
In response, the thousand colossal arms of Hashirama's wooden Kan'on surged upward, violently colliding with the descending steel meteor.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The wooden fists struck the metal with the deafening cadence of heavy machine-gun fire, creating shrieking hurricane winds.
However, these legendary wooden fists—weapons capable of shattering mountains—had absolutely no effect on the steel titan.
The immense counter-shock simply pulverized the timber into splinters upon impact.
The moment an arm was destroyed, Hashirama forcibly regenerated it with raw chakra, maintaining an impenetrable barrage.
But it was entirely futile.
The giant metal fist didn't even slow down.
Watching the steel sky collapse over them, the Cloud Shinobi wept in despair.
"Brother, let me help you!" Tobirama Senju shouted over the din.
The Second Hokage blurred into motion.
Appearing directly behind Hashirama, Tobirama slammed his hand onto his brother's back.
He aggressively funneled his own massive chakra reserves into the First Hokage to sustain the barrage.
At this scale, any standard ninjutsu was completely redundant.
Only the sheer physical mass of the thousand-armed statue stood a chance of slowing the mecha down.
Seeing the Hokage struggle, the other Kage immediately reacted.
Those with massive reserves rushed forward to act as living batteries.
Those with specialized techniques prepared to intercept.
Ishikawa, the First Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, slammed his hands into the earth.
He literally ripped a jagged mountain from the bedrock, thrusting it upward as an extra pillar of support against the fist.
Above him, Mu and Onoki took to the skies, flying directly toward the descending steel.
They slammed their palms flat against the crushing metal hull.
"Earth Release: Super Light-Weight Rock Jutsu!" the Second and Third Tsuchikage roared in unison.
They burned their chakra to strip the apocalyptic weight from Metroplex's arm, pushing their bodies to the absolute limit.
For the first time in the bloody history of the shinobi world, the leaders of the Five Great Nations were united.
From high above, Mufasa watched them struggle side by side, finding the sight deeply, thoroughly gratifying.
