The kitchen was unusually quiet that evening.
Warm light streamed through the wide windows overlooking the garden, illuminating the countertops and the utensils arranged neatly beside the stove.
Scylla stood beside the counter, preparing tea.
Her long black hair fell loosely down her back, with a few strands tucked behind her ears to keep them out of her face.
She was currently looking through the collection of tea leaves arranged in small containers, trying to remember which one Elize recommended earlier.
"Hmm… Was it this one?"
She lifted a container, opened its lid, and brought it closer to her nose.
After taking a brief sniff, she frowned slightly and placed it back down.
"…No. That smells different."
Just as she reached for another container, a pair of arms slipped around her waist from behind.
Scylla paused.
Before she could turn around, a familiar warmth settled against her back, followed by the sensation of someone burying his face in the side of her neck.
