CHLOE'S POV.
---
Something in her died when her eyes snapped open, gasping loudly for breath. Something died yet. Something was given, but she could not place what.
The first thing she laid her eyes on were crimson eyes staring at her with shock, and she struggled to keep them open. A thread in her mind was shut as another opened widely, desperately latching unto her. She couldn't breathe.
"Chloe, open your eyes. Open your eyes," she tried. Goddess, she tried, but it was peaceful here. A whiteness that she had never seen before comforted her. How could she bear to live such a beautiful place that calmed her heart?
