Hanseong drew both blades.
They came out of their sheaths with a soft, double whisper of steel, short and curved and catching the light from the hanging bulbs. He let them hang loose at his sides, his weight settled low, his shoulders easy. He didn't look tense. He looked like someone who'd done this thousands of times.
Jin drew the katana and let it rest in front of him, tip low.
He'd already decided how this would go. No Mujeok. No Heavenly Demon forms. Nothing that could put a hole through the wall or a man through the floor. Ryu had been very clear about his training room, and this wasn't a fight to the death. It was a measurement. Hanseong wanted to know how far he'd come.
Jin wanted to know too.
Neither of them moved for a moment. The crowd held its breath.
Then Hanseong was gone.
