Some operations had discovered demons' hideouts and their communication with the upper-ranking members of human society. Others had uncovered schemes that the demons had been laying down over the years.
Fortunately, all of this was discovered before it could harm humanity significantly.
If not for Reinhardt pushing for an allied knight order to explore the Tainted Lands and winning the war against the Forces of Darkness, who knew how long it would have taken to uncover the schemes the demons had laid out, or what their consequences would have been.
In a way, it reminded humanity that they could not simply sit back and react passively. They needed to proactively hunt and exterminate the demons.
The war had not truly ended when Astaroth fell.
In many ways, another war had begun. A war fought in shadows.
Aside from the demonic insurgency, the other notable development was the communication breakthrough.
