"Sigh, it's too soon to rejoice," someone muttered. "The enemy is still around. The war isn't completely finished. But…"
Today, no one cared.
Silvia simply shook her head and allowed Kevin to continue with his antics. Gwen pressed her forehead after seeing Kevin's strange dance, while even Delicia, who was usually composed and played the role of the big sister within their group, could not suppress her laughter.
The entire battlefield had been consumed by celebration.
Some knights embraced one another. Others raised their weapons toward the sky. A few had spent so long fighting that they simply stood in silence, unable to understand how they had survived.
The survivors remembered the friends who were no longer there. Their victory was bright, but it was also stained with blood.
Even so, they celebrated.
They had earned the right to do so.
Of course, the same could not be said for the demons.
Instead of rejoicing, they were all terrified.
It was over.
All over for them.
