The battle had reached its crescendo. Across the globe, the Paradragons were being defeated, even their mechanical bodies dissolving into shadow as Arthur's powers overwhelmed them. The Shadow Legion were all over the planet.
But the Furies remained strong.
They were the last bastion of Darkseid's attempt at invasion, the strongest of his forces, the most feared. They had carved paths of destruction across the world, their weapons dripping with the blood of the hunters. They had faced gods and monsters and had always emerged victorious, but not on Earth, it was not so bright for them anymore, and they knew it.
They had never faced the Shadow Legion.
And they had never faced the Marshals.
Bernadeth was relentless, carving through the shadows that surrounded her. She was angry, "Where are you, shadow? Show yourself! I will not be hunted like some common prey!"
A voice emerged from the darkness. "You are not prey."
Igris stepped forward, his form materializing from the shadows, his Demon King Longsword crackling with violet lightning, his helm hiding his features.
"You are nothing."
Bernadeth's eyes narrowed, pointing her knife toward him. "I am Bernadeth of the Furies! I have killed gods!"
Igris moved.
His sword carved through the air, its edge meeting her knife that she recalled, the impact sending shockwaves across the street. The knife shattered, its fragments scattering across the ground like shards of glass.
Bernadeth's eyes widened. "Impossible!"
Igris's voice carried the weight of cold amusement. "Those gods were false it seems. Because you are weak."
His sword swung again, its arc a trail of violet lightning. Bernadeth raised her hands to block, but the blade carved through her defenses, its edge finding her heart.
Her body crumpled to the ground.
Igris looked down at her, before beheading her.
"The Monarch sends his regards."
He turned and walked away holding her head in his hand, his form dissolving into shadow.

Stompa moved through the chaos of battle like a force of nature, her fists carving craters in the streets of Metropolis. "Where are you, shadow? I will crush you! I will.."
Bellion appeared before her, his sword slashing toward her head.
"You will do no such thing."
Stompa's eyes narrowed, her fists raised. "You clearly have no idea who I am."
"That is correct, because you do not matter." Bellion moved.
It took him three swings, before his greatsword carved through her defenses, its edge finding her chest, followed by a swing that beheaded her.
Her body crumpled to the ground.
Bellion looked down at her. "What a disappointment, and here I thought I would enjoy this fight.."

Lashina screamed as she blocked another fist by Galatea. "I will not be stopped by a shadow! it will bring shame to Lord Darkseid!"
Galatea appeared before her, her eyes glowing red with heat vision. "Lord Cuntseid will be next don't you worry."
Lashina's eyes narrowed, her weapons raised. "Insolent!"
Galatea attacked, her heat vision connected with Lashina's weapons, the impact sending shockwaves across the harbor. The weapons shattered, their fragments scattering across the ground like shards of glass.
Lashina's eyes widened.
Galatea was amused. "Pick another weapon, I'll wait."
Lashina however went for a pucnh. But Galatea was faster, her fist connected with Lashina's chest, the impact sending her hurtling through the air. She crashed into a building, her body crumpling to the ground.
Galatea looked down at her.
"I said pick a weapon... Stupid bitch.."

In Central City -
Beru had already dealt with Blood Mary of the furies, his claw marks all over her body, he had toyed with her, and now his entire hand had gone through her chest leaving a bloody hole in her body. Bloody Mary's eyes widened, her body crumpling to the ground.
Beru screeched, and he said with mockery. "Is that all, little lady..."
In Coast City, Mad Harriet's eyes narrowed as she found herself facing an immortal Kryptonian, her weapons raised. "You are..."
H'El was not wasting time with words, his fists connected with her weapons, the impact sending shockwaves across the shoreline. Mad Harriet tried to contact the other furies for aid but she realized that they were not responding, she was all alone, even calling the Paradragons was not an option.
H'El was amused. "What's wrong, your fear is amusing, aren't you supposed to be a being that inflicts fear and suffering?"
His fist connected with her face, the impact crushing her face and she crashed into the sea
H'El picked up what remained of her. "The Monarch should be pleased with this... I might have did a bit too much here.."
He turned and flew away.
The Furies were dead. The Paradragons were being hunted and the invasion was failing.
Arthur floated in the sky, He looked down at the earth below.
"It is done."
Didi's voice whispered in his mind, soft and amused. "The Furies are dead. The Paradragons are falling. And you did not even try too hard, not bad."
Arthur's voice carried a note of dry amusement. "I lifted a few fingers."
Didi teased him a bit. "Barely."
Arthur smiled and he floated in the sky above the endless expanse of the ocean. The wind whipped around him, his ashen white hair moving gently in the breeze, his cosmic shadow armor gleaming.
He looked down at the world below, at the Paradragons that still tore through the streets, at the heroes who still fought with everything they had. He could feel them, all of them, their struggles, their hopes, their fears.
"I need to do this to make it quick. There is no need for us to wait for Bruce to disable all of them." He paused, his eyes narrowing. "I could just use this, since these were made from a lesser dragon."
Didi's voice whispered in his mind. "Oh, you are going to use that ability, handy."
Arthur nodded. He rose further into the sky, his form ascending beyond the clouds, beyond the atmosphere, until he was suspended in the void of space, his power built around him, shadows surging from his form like a tide of darkness.
And then he roared.
It was not a sound that could be contained by the laws of physics. It was a sound that transcended the physical, a roar of absolute power, of authority and the very concept of fear and death itself. It spread across the planet like a wave, its force shaking the foundations of the world, its power pressing against every living thing.
The people on the ground heard it. They felt it.
And they were terrified.
Raven stood in the middle of a street in Gotham, her magic still crackling around her, she had been fighting the Paradragons for sometime, her body starting to ache with exhaustion.
Then she heard it.
The roar tore through the sky like a thunderclap, its force pressing against her, its power absolute. Her eyes widened, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never heard anything like it, a sound that seemed to come from the very depths of existence itself.
Her voice was barely a whisper. "What... what is that?"
She looked up at the sky, her eyes searching for the source of the sound. She could feel it.
"Is that... coming from Arthur?!" she murmured.
The Flash moved through the streets of Central city, his form a blur, "We need to..."
The roar hit him like a wave, its force pressing against him, he stumbled, his eyes wide, as the sheer force of the roar threw him off.
"What the hell was that?" he muttered.
Superman felt it the most, the roar tore through the sky like a thunderclap, its force pressing against him.
He could see him even from this distance. "Arthur..."
Meanwhile in The Batcave -
Batman stood before his massive computer, his eyes fixed on the screens that showed the devastation spreading across the globe. His hands were still moving across the console, his code was almost done.
then he felt it. the roar shook the cave, his eyes widened, his hands pausing on the console.
"What was that?" he murmured.
Alfred said. "Master Wayne, I do not know. But I felt it too."
The Paradragons fell.
They fell from the sky like stones, their forms plummeting toward the ground, their wings useless against the weight of the fear that had been pressed upon them. They had lost the will to fight, lost the will to resist, lost the will to exist.
The Hunters moved, their weapons flashing. The Shadow Legion moved, the Marshals and Generals of the Shadow Monarch finished them off as well.
In moments, the job was done.
Arthur floated in the sky with a calm look on his face. Didi's voice whispered in his mind, soft and amused. "Good work."
Batman stared at his screens in the Batcave, his eyes wide with amazement. The Paradragons were gone, all thirty thousand of them, the red dots that filled his screens were overwhelmed by the black ones, their presence erased from existence.
"They are all gone..." He said.
"All thirty thousand of these super-powered dragons?!" Alfred asked.
Bruce's voice was barely a whisper. "Yes."
"Dear me..." Alfred said as he shook his head.
