The carriage drive back was very peaceful. No one really talked and Saevra even fell asleep.
Theo soon came to the dormitory door and took a sigh of relief. He was finally back. He opened it right away and saw Clara on the side table reading something.
Her eyes widened and the first thing she did was hide the book she was reading. But by the time she could do that, Theo's heightened senses had already somewhat looked at the title.
"Since when have you been into romance books, Clara?" he asked teasingly making Clara freeze with an awkward smile.
Theo moved forward while Clara had gotten up, and for the first time, he could not see any worry on her face.
Theo saw literal confidence in her eyes for him and he couldn't help but keep a hand on her head to pat it.
Clara slowly giggled and looked up at him. "I should be the one patting your head for a job well done, young master. I am older," she spoke.
