Chapter 73 - Chapter 72: Scorching Serpent

At the entrance of Kigen the wall surrounding the Castle was breached the Nether Soldiers protecting the castle were killed there bodies was covered in arrows, Jade crouched down a pulled one of the arrows out of Corpses she felt a thick poison coming from the arrow head Maria shouted "INCOMING" multiple arrows started raining from the sky. Nezha stood in front of Jade then summoned a barrier of darkness to block the incoming projectiles, but the arrow broke through the barriers and pierced Nezha's body. Jade stood up while realising the arrows are able to break through barriers. Nezha started laughing. Historically before pulling the arrows out of his body he said "How interesting no wonder those soldiers died barrier Piecing arrows covered with poison, Looks like we must draw the Archer out." Suddenly a white portal opened up in front of them, and a massive group of undead came out. They started running towards Maria, Nezha and Jade. Maria swung her greatsword and blocked the incoming fire. Nezha swiftly covered his hands in darkness and started punching the undead; each strike made the ground shake beneath them. Nezha shouted out, saying, "Jade, you take out the archer; we will handle this." Jade nodded and swiftly ran off towards the woods. The arrows started fighting towards Jade; her rune started to cover her whole body as lightning started to increase her movements. She started running so fast the arrows couldn't hit her Jade ran directly into the woods and saw a women with brown hair and brown eyes she said "Natasha what are you doing" Natasha didn't respond, but she swiftly grabbed three arrows and fired them towards Jade. Suddenly lightning came crashing down from the sky, which destroyed the arrows. Natasha smiled and said "it looks like you gained a new form of power interesting" Jade dashed towards Natasha and was about to kick her in the head, but her kick was blocked by Natasha's hand. She grabbed Jade's leg and threw her into the trees. Jade started to imbue lightning into her hand as she swiftly punched Natasha in the face. Natasha stumbled a little, but before she could recover, Jade started to rapidly punch Natasha's chest at lightning speed. Jade stopped punching and lifted her leg up and hit Natasha with a roundhouse kick, sending her flying into the trees. Natasha coughed up blood as she stood up from the destroyed trees. Jade clenched her fist while saying, "Why did you join Shiki?" Natasha smiled in response and said, "What else am I supposed to do? No matter what path I walk, everything will end in ruins, so I decided to follow a path that I can't foresee. Even if that path doesn't turn out, at least I tried." Black tendrils started to come out of Natasha's back as Natasha's voice became distorted. She said, "Playtime is over." Mayker took control over Natasha's body as the black tendrils started to change into blades. Jade dashed towards Mayker; she jumped into the air and collected a massive amount of lightning magic into her leg. She slammed her leg down onto Mayker; the attack created a massive area of smoke, but swiftly black tendrils came out of the smoke and pierced through Jade's arm. Mayker slammed Jade into the ground; before Jade could react, she pieced black tendrils into her arms and her other leg, making her unable to move. Mayker opened its hand as a white blast started to charge up. It said, "THIS IS GOODBYE, JADE," but then a massive red snake came bursting out of the ground. Mayker swiftly jumped away as the serpent wrapped around Jade; she slowly opened her eyes and said, "Agera, is that you?" Jade had a massive smile on her face. A gigantic pillar of flame appeared in front of Jade as she heard a familiar voice, "Are you alright, my dear?" Jade's eyes widened as she instantly recognised the voice. The flames slowly vanished as Testarossa emerged from the flames. Jade smiled gently and said, "Testa, is that you?" Testarossa walked up to Jade and rubbed her head. She said, "Everything is going to be alright now. I will handle everything." Jade responded, saying, "You look different. Your hair is longer, your eyes, and that outfit. What happened, and where is Vritra?" Testarossa smiled and said, "I will explain after this battle, but for now stay here." Testarossa stopped rubbing jade's head and start walking towards mayker. Agera slithered behind Testarossa as flames started to come out of the ground. Mayker fired multiple tendrils towards Testarossa, but Agera opened his mouth and let out a huge fire blast, destroying the tendrils. Mayker was shocked by the attack as it created a sword from its tendrils and dashed towards Testarossa. Agera Slithered towards Jade as a massive flame started to come of Testarossa body it made the atmosphere extremely hot making it hard for Mayker to breath, Testarossa summoned tsuno and dashed towards Mayker she slashed all the Tendrills to pieces and grabbed Maykers neck and slammed it into the ground. Testarossa smirked and said, "This is goodbye, Mayker." Testarossa started burning. Mayker, the flame was scorching hot, but suddenly a blood wave appeared in front of Testarossa. She swiftly Destroyed it but then realised Mayker slipped from her grasp, Melty placed Mayker beside a tree and said "Stay here and open a Portal i will by you some time" Melty dashed towards Testarossa; they started clashing swords. Melty started to speed up her attacks; she slammed her swords down, but then her attack was parried by Testarossa. She looked down at Iyasu and noticed that the blade had been altered. Melty said, "You have altered the Iyasu blade; it's sharper, and it has jagged teeth in it. How interesting." But unfortunately we must take our leave now." Melty sheathed her sword and swiftly ran towards Mayker. She noticed that a white portal opened up beside it; she picked up Mayker and headed straight through the portal as it closed behind her. Jade walked up to Testarossa and said, "So what happened to you? I haven't seen you in days." Testarossa rubbed her head slightly while saying, "After the battle with Maria, my aura started spiralling out of control, so she told me to head to the core of the Nether Realm. While I was there, I began training my body to adapt to my snake transformation, but while I was doing this, I noticed that my body began to mature rapidly." Time doesn't flow the same at the core of the nether realm. I don't really understand it, but because of that time, it felt like I was training for years on end. Vritra noticed this and wanted me to take his power, so I devoured him and consumed every last bit of his power these snake tattoos appeared on my chest shortly. These after that. But that's basically what happened." Jade let out a massive sigh before she pulled on Testarossa's ear hard. Testarossa was screaming in pain while Jade said, "TELL ME NEXT BEFORE YOU DISAPPEAR." Jade let go of her nose as Testarossa smiled and said, "You're right, I should have told you. I'm sorry." Jade smiled and grabbed Testarossa's hand, saying, "It's fine. We should head back." Testarossa smiled, then they started walking back to Kigen.
