After using the bathroom, Ichin returned to his room, grabbed some clothes, and took a shower. Instead of heading downstairs right away, he went to the home theater.
He knocked twice before opening the door.
Inside the dimly lit room, several girls were squeezed together under the blankets on the floor bedding, all fast asleep. Not a single one woke up from his knocking.
Ichin didn't disturb them and let them continue sleeping. He'd deal with it around noon.
Heading downstairs to the kitchen, Ichin began preparing breakfast for those who were already up.
There were some frozen dumplings at home, but not enough, so he made some steamed buns and cooked some porridge as well. That would be breakfast for today.
Not many people were up this morning. Aside from Ichin and Haruno, only Shizuka and Hazuki were awake. Everyone else, including Aoba who usually woke up early, was still asleep.
Taking a sip of porridge, Hiratsuka looked at Haruno sitting across from her and smiled. "What, you don't believe what I said?"
"Of course not," Haruno replied confidently. "There's no way I'd cling to Ichin and refuse to let go. Absolutely impossible. You must be slandering me!"
"Oh? You think I'm slandering you?"
Hiratsuka set down her chopsticks, exchanged a glance with Hazuki, and slowly took out her phone. "Originally, I planned to keep this and bring it out at a better time in the future. But it looks like I'll have to show it now so you can confirm it yourself."
Seeing the phone, Haruno swallowed nervously. "Y-You didn't record a video, did you?"
Even Ichin felt a bit uneasy at that.
"Uh, Hiratsuka-sensei… just to confirm, I didn't do anything inappropriate, right?"
While Hiratsuka unlocked her phone to find the video, Hazuki answered from the side, "Nope. You were sleeping like a log last night. You didn't even notice when we came in to get Haruno."
That finally made Ichin relax.
Soon, Hiratsuka found the video and played it. Haruno watched as her actions from last night were revealed.
In the video, Hiratsuka's voice could be heard: "Haruno, come on, let's go. Don't sleep here, go back to your own room."
But Haruno, clearly in full drunk mode, wriggled on the bed and said, "No! I'm sleeping here!"
Then she pulled the already sleeping Ichin into her arms and gave him a full-on "face-smothering hug," leaving present-day Haruno completely stunned.
Then Hazuki's voice came from the video: "Alright, just let her sleep here. She's had too much to drink anyway. Let's go, it's already two o'clock."
That was where the video ended.
After turning it off, Hiratsuka smiled and deleted it, then looked at the stunned Haruno. "See? I wasn't lying. You refused to leave on your own. And you know how heavy drunk people are, I wasn't about to carry you. Besides, nothing happened in the end, right?"
"…"
Haruno fell silent for a moment, then instead of replying to Hiratsuka, she turned to Ichin.
"See? You really did take advantage of me!"
"Cough cough cough!"
Ichin nearly choked on his porridge. He quickly grabbed a tissue to wipe his mouth before saying, "I just saw that too, okay?!"
As for what happened when he first woke up in the morning, there was no way he was going to bring that up here.
"Doesn't matter! You still took advantage of me!" Haruno said smugly. "So what are you going to do about it?"
"What do you want me to do?"
Ichin rolled his eyes. "I was asleep and didn't feel a thing. How about we do it again now, and then I'll think about what to do?"
"Tch, in your dreams."
Seeing how shameless he was, Haruno dropped the topic. Besides, just as Ichin said, they had all been drunk and she couldn't remember anything clearly anyway. It wasn't worth taking seriously, just some playful teasing.
Of course, she still felt a bit embarrassed deep down. Thankfully, it was Ichin and not some stranger, otherwise it really would have been a huge loss.
Half an hour later, Utaha and Yukino finally woke up. The two came downstairs in perfect sync, both holding their heads.
Seeing them, Ichin walked over with a smile. "How do you feel? I'll make you something to help with the hangover, then you can eat breakfast."
They nodded and sat down at the dining table.
Haruno, who had already finished eating, smiled and said, "Not a great feeling, right? You should drink less next time."
Shaking her head, Utaha said, "Yeah, we really shouldn't drink too much. We should've stopped after two glasses. By the way, Haruno, when did you wake up? You were sleeping so deeply on the bed earlier, we couldn't wake you at all."
"Huh? How do you know that?"
Utaha grinned. "Hehe, I got up around six to use the bathroom and saw it. You must've been too tired after bringing us upstairs, so you just lay down and fell asleep, right?"
Hiratsuka happily joined in. "That's right, that's right. I saw it too. And I even recorded a video yesterday. Ah, I'm too kind, I shouldn't have deleted it so quickly. Utaha, you should've seen it. Haruno was hugging Ichin really tightly while she slept."
She clearly looked like she was enjoying stirring up trouble.
Utaha didn't react much since she had already seen it earlier, but Yukino, who hadn't woken up at all during the night, immediately turned to her sister.
"Is that true, Onee-san?"
"Uh… well, it's not that exaggerated! I was drunk, drunk!" Haruno hurriedly explained. "And if anything, I'm the one at a loss here! Why aren't you on my side, Yukino?"
"Well, you've got too many past offenses. Who knows, maybe you did it on purpose?"
At that moment, Ichin came out of the kitchen with two cups of honey pear water. Sitting down beside Utaha and Yukino, he said, "Alright, enough about that. Drink this and have breakfast."
Watching Yukino obediently drink the water, Haruno clicked her tongue with a sour expression. "Tsk tsk, my Yukino really isn't the same anymore. She doesn't listen to her sister now."
"But she never listened to you in the first place," Hiratsuka added at just the right moment.
"Shut up!" Haruno glared at her, then asked, "Since you're done eating, why don't you head back?"
"I'm on vacation. Why would I go back? Didn't we say yesterday that we'd go out and have some fun today?"
Hazuki chimed in, "We can go out, but we haven't changed clothes and we all smell like alcohol. Let's go home first."
"Ah, that's true."
