Avery stared at the profusely bleeding man for several seconds as he tried to get his thoughts in order.
He now had memories of things that had and had not happened that left him both confused and aware.
'I know in my gut what happened here, but the logical part of my mind refuses to believe it. Even after everything I've experienced, it still seems utterly preposterous.' Avery thought as he closed his eyes and wiped his face. A small part of him was hoping that his current problems would just disappear.
Unfortunately, the suit wearing blacked haired man was still slumped against the booth's far wall. The small amount of cognitive ability he had initially retained after Avery broke his psionic ability having faded.
His eyes were now unfocused and the blood pouring out of him was starting to create a puddle.
Avery was not entirely certain if the man was in such bad shape that he was going to die, but it was a distinct possibility if he received no medical attention.
