Unlike Frey, Agaroth's rebirth was complete.
He returned with his memories intact, his consciousness preserved, and the Tool of Creation still residing within him.
And thus, from the death of the creature who had once sought nothing more than freedom, a new existence was born.
Agaroth, the Demon King the world would come to know in the ages that followed.
Meanwhile, in the Aether World, both the Writers and the Mist Creatures came to realize that Odin had been defeated, and the revelation sent shockwaves through both sides of the war. No one had truly believed that anyone could overcome the Pale Devastation. Clea, the First Writer, had been the only person thought capable of standing against him, and with her gone, the fall of the Writers had seemed inevitable.
Yet the son she had placed her faith in had accomplished what everyone else believed impossible.
Frey had won.
It was a victory that Abraham and the others would later discover had come at a terrible price.
