'What. According to the information Nail gave me, the status window doesn't show skills. Let alone, people don't unlock skills. They have to hone them, practice them, or even create them. What in the world is that trait? How can it change the status window?!'
He was stunned; he couldn't even fathom what this could change for him. How could he unlock more skills? It doesn't even seem to be relevant to what he did. He ran so much further in the forest than with the bunny, so how did he only get Dash now? Nathan sat there, questioning everything. He was in such deep thought that he even forgot about the bunny. It had already recovered and quickly tracked him down.
The rampaging bunny swiped away the tree he was hiding behind. Without a second to think about it, Nathan got up to run and used his ability Dash. He felt like he teleported when he used it. He was still facing the same direction, but a considerable distance away from the bunny. He tried to activate it again, but it wouldn't.
'Hm, I guess it has a cooldown, but for how long?! I need to get away from this thing fast.'
He started running away, trying to think of a plan with the bunny still hot on his tail. Again, he felt a warm feeling, but not in his head, but instead in his abdomen. That's when it clicked, he remembered from the information that this world had an energy called mana. To use skills, for ordinary people at least, they would have to learn how to manipulate the mana to use a skill correctly, and it would take some mana away from them. After he thought about that and really digested the information, he heard a hum and decided to use his status window immediately. Thankfully, it didn't affect his vision, but it was more like a mental picture in his head.

'IT CAN EVEN GIVE ME MORE TRAITS?!?!, THIS HIDDEN TRAIT IS BROKEN!'
Nathan wished he knew what the actual skill did, but he didn't really care at the moment. So far, it's been like a godsend to him.
'Wait, is Nail a deity?! Nuh-uh, not something as crazy as him can be called a deity!'
As if forgetting about the bunny, Nathan dropped down on all fours, about to ask for forgiveness again.
'Maybe he isn't always paying attention. That's good.'
The bunny crashing through the forest and damn near sending him flying again reminded him that Nail isn't the only thing to be afraid of. He instantly got back up to run again. He used Dash again and began looking around for a way to escape. There was a cliff breaking the tops of the trees, and he decided that was his only hope.
He ran as fast as he could. A lot of the time, the rabbit would catch up, but Nathan used his Dash skill to stay away or to avoid lethal attacks. The cliff still looked so far away, and the rabbit showed no signs of losing interest in its prey.
Nathan had to use the local population when the bunny was too fast, and there weren't enough trees to slow it down. Sometimes, the animals would just run away. Still, some of the ones that were hungry enough to challenge the bunny for its prey would slow it down enough for Nathan to gain some distance, especially using Dash right after the bunny was done dealing with the pest to gain even more distance.
The cliff still didn't look any closer after what felt like an eternity for Nathan. He was starting to lose hope; he was tiring out. He already exhausted his body beyond his new limits, and the bunny was still full of rage after losing its eye. Then another burning feeling rang through Nathan's head, making him stumble.

Nathan immediately used the skill, using it to take a breather and get away from the bunny. While he was using the skill, he felt a strange heat slowly getting colder.
'I guess that's how I can tell how much time I have left in this. I need to move as quickly as possible.'
Luckily for Nathan, the trees provided many connected shadows for him to move across, and in Shadow movement, he moved way faster than he ran, almost ten times as fast.
He quickly made his way to the cliff face, leaving the rabbit confused.
