The sailboat continued to descend along the whirlpool's path until it entered a calm sea area. The whirlpool vanished, and large bubbles began rising from the ocean floor.

"What's happening?"

"Don't move! The upward current is about to start!"

Nami was about to step toward Allen, but he raised a hand to stop her.

As soon as he spoke, violent tremors shook the sea below. The ship rocked violently from side to side under the force.

Boom!

The next moment, a massive column of water erupted from the sea, shooting straight into the sky.

The sailboat, once floating on the surface, was lifted by the force, soaring upward.

"Ah—!"

Even though Nami trusted Allen's words, the sudden weightlessness made her scream.

Nojiko, connected to Allen through her Soul-Soul Fruit, remained calm. She even looked around curiously, marveling at the sky.

It was their first time being so high up, and the view was breathtaking.

Suddenly, the sailboat began to shake. Under the combined forces of gravity and centrifugal force, the ship tilted outward.

"Allen, open the sails!"

Two years ago, Nami could instinctively sense what to do. Now, with her navigation skills honed, she acted without hesitation.

As the sails unfurled, the wind caught them, propelling the ship higher.

Finally, the ship reached the peak of the water column, just one step away from the clouds above.

But that final step seemed insurmountable. Without the upward current, the sailboat couldn't maintain its ascent. It began to fall.

"Oh no! The current isn't strong enough! We're going to fall!"

Nami's face paled as she looked at Allen in despair.

If they were going to die, she wanted to hold onto him. Dying together would be a desperate kind of romance.

"Don't move!"

Before she could act, Allen, now clad in a black robe, leaped off the deck.

"Allen—!"

Nami screamed, rushing to the edge. But before she could reach it, the ship jolted and shot upward at incredible speed.

In seconds, they broke through the lowest cloud layer, soaring higher until they burst into the sunlight above.

"Allen! Where's Allen?"

As soon as the ship stabilized, Nami and Nojiko rushed to the side where Allen had jumped, peering over the edge.

Below, there was only a sea of white clouds. The ground was nowhere in sight.

"Allen... is he... dead?"

Nami sat on the deck, her eyes lifeless as she stared at Nojiko.

Allen must have used some method to send them up before falling to his death.

From thousands of meters in the air, even someone as strong as him wouldn't survive.

"Nojiko, why did he do this?"

Nojiko, however, looked past Nami with a relieved smile.

"What about me?"

"You did it without asking me..."

Nami paused mid-sentence, sensing something was off. She turned to see Allen standing behind her.

Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at him, then at Nojiko's relieved expression, Robin's calm smile, and Vivi's conflicted gaze. Allen felt a renewed sense of clarity—Nami and Nojiko were his true companions.

"Don't worry. Did you really think I'd be in trouble?"

Allen spoke with confidence. Even if the ice rope connecting the ship to him had snapped, it wouldn't have mattered.

If Kaido could jump from Sky Island and survive, someone with the Black Tortoise Fruit like him had nothing to fear.

"You scared me to death!"

Nami threw herself into Allen's arms, her eyes red. When he'd jumped, she'd felt all hope vanish. Dreams and sailing no longer mattered.

All she wanted was for Allen to reappear. And now, he had.

Nojiko, though worried, had remained calmer. Her spiritual connection to Allen had never broken, so she hadn't felt the same despair as Nami.

"Alright, I'm here now. Look around. This sea of clouds is incredible!"

The group stood at the ship's edge, gazing at the endless expanse of white.

"Is this above the clouds? Is this where Sky Island is?"

Nami's excitement returned as she looked around. All she could see was white, with no sign of an island.

Robin, curious, created an arm on the hull and dipped it into the sea below.

"This is the White Sea. The clouds are dense, like water. If we go further up, we'll reach Sky Island."

Allen leaped up, scanning the horizon from above. He pointed in a direction.

"The sea of clouds is still a sea. As long as it's water, a navigator can find the way."

"Let's go! To Sky Island!"

Nami cheered, her earlier fear forgotten.

She hadn't forgotten Allen's promise of a land filled with gold. Nami had been dreaming of it... no, longing for it for a long time!

Allen chuckled, well aware of Nami's thoughts.

Though they'd missed out on Alabasta's treasures, Sky Island was a different story.

Not only was there the fabled City of Gold, but the Ark Maxim was also there.

Defeating Enel and making him a loyal subordinate would be ideal. Finding someone with the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble-Rumble Fruit) was no easy task.

Over thirty years ago, Allen had experimented with various methods to extract Devil Fruits. Whether it was using Seastone to create a sealed space, using Armament Haki to capture the fruit's energy, or sinking the user and the fruit together into the sea, nothing worked.

If there had been a way, the World Government would have discovered it long ago. Instead, they locked dangerous Devil Fruit users in Impel Down, unable to kill them.

So...

If Allen wanted the Goro Goro no Mi, the easiest way was to recruit Enel as a subordinate.
