Chapter 541 - Ruthless

After receiving fresh supplies and reinforcements from the new team, the camp quickly regained its energy, easing the tension among the anxious wizards.

The additional support allowed everyone to settle into their roles more smoothly, significantly reducing the pressure on each position.

That evening, the unicorn even prepared a delicious dinner using fresh ingredients for everyone, which really lifted the spirits around the camp.

As the situation began to stabilize, the weight that Augurey had been carrying finally eased.

At that moment, the unicorn quietly approached her and said softly, "Teacher, let me take over the security duty tonight. I heard from Sound Bird that you've been guarding the camp yourself for the past two days.

That's not good for your injury, please take this chance to rest."

"Thank you, Azalea. Your timing is perfect," Augurey replied gratefully.

When they were alone, Augurey habitually called Azalea by name.

"By the way, my sister did really well on her recent college test. She joined a magical creatures club and seems to have made plenty of friends."

Azalea frowned upon hearing about Augurey's sister.

The routine Augurey described was based on her sister's suffering, the very suffering caused by Azalea herself.

Despite her warm words, Azalea couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.

Sensing something was off, Augurey asked gently, "Are you alright? You seem a bit off."

"No, it's nothing," Azalea said firmly, shaking her head. "I'm just not used to the Northern European weather yet. You should get some rest too, the sooner you recover, the sooner we can leave."

"Alright, I'll do my best tonight," Augurey said.

The tension of the past days had caught up with her, and feeling sleepy, she said goodnight to Azalea and headed back to her tent.

Watching Augurey's retreating figure, Azalea couldn't hide the sneer that crossed her face.

In this far northern region, where darkness prevails most of the time, the wizards usually set their work and rest schedules based on their own habits.

It didn't take long before all the wizards had fallen asleep, and the camp grew very quiet.

Only Azalea and four other wizards remained awake to keep watch.

The four stood at the camp's four corners, holding hands and exhaling controlled breaths while carefully scanning the surroundings for any movement.

Meanwhile, Azalea took on the role of a mobile guard, patrolling erratically around the area.

After the majority of the wizards had been resting for over an hour, Azalea, patrolling near one of the guard posts, quietly approached a wizard who was on duty there.

The wizard seemed half asleep, his eyes drooping from the late hour, completely unaware of Azalea sneaking up behind him.

At that moment, Azalea swiftly drew her wand and pointed it at the back of his neck.

Almost instantly, the wizard's vision darkened, and he collapsed to the ground.

Azalea caught him smoothly, lowering him down gently so he wouldn't make a sound.

Just then, several figures emerged slowly from the thick forest nearby.

It was Alex, Shalltear, and Fang.

Alex glanced at the unconscious guard and asked quietly, "Are you sure everyone in the camp is asleep?"

Azalea removed her mask without any pretense and replied, "Don't worry, master. I slipped a mild sleeping potion into their dinner.

They'll be out cold all night."

"That's good. Now, let's move on with the plan. Fang, keep an eye on the magical creatures. Shalltear, Azalea, and I will each take care of one of the remaining vigilant wizards," Alex said casually.

"Yes, master!"

"No problem!"

"Leave it to me!" the others responded in unison, then quickly moved into position.

From the very start, Alex's plan was to use the Pure Land Society's Augurey transport team to launch an initial strike, then swoop in as Thunderbird to turn the tide and elevate his status.

With so many magical creatures involved, it was absolutely crucial that none of them fell into the club's hands.

However, Thunderbird had to remain unconnected to any loss of these animals in the future.

That's why Alex was preparing for a second raid on the transport team.

Even if they

He didn't set up camp here. He planned to wait for Thunderbird to show up at Silver Wand headquarters and then intercept Augurey and his group.

Things went even more smoothly than Alex expected. The Pure Land Society was so skilled that they nearly incapacitated the wizards guarding the transport team, forcing them to rest on the spot.

At the same time, Alex didn't expect such cooperation from the club. They even sent a unicorn as support, which gave him some internal backing.

Originally, he planned to use some tricks to attack or ambush as Thunderbird, but the operation unfolded without a hitch.

After a short while, they took down all the guards and began to quietly subdue the sleeping wizards one by one.

Alex had no intention of treating these prisoners like civilian wizards who might be sent to prison. These wizards were either club members, Death Eaters, or werewolves, so there was no reason to show them mercy.

Soon, the trio stunned all the wizards with the Stunning Curse, confiscated their wands, and packed them into Alex's suitcase.

Next, they had to transport the magical animals. Fortunately, this group was smaller than the one at the breeding park, so all the creatures could fit inside Alex's suitcase, making the transfer much easier.

Thanks to Fang, who was skilled in communicating with animals, the magical creatures cooperated smoothly after some talking.

After several hours of work, they had rounded up all the wizards and magical animals and cleared out all the materials and equipment from the camp.

Before long, the large club camp was completely dismantled, leaving only a few smoldering fires behind, silent evidence that someone had been there.

Once everything was settled, everyone regrouped inside Alex's suitcase. Right in front of them stood the iron cage that had been used to trap those wizards.

"Hey, master, you really are ruthless," Fang said with a grin.

"Just when hope flickered, you snuffed it out without mercy. I'd love to see the looks on those Silver Wands' faces when they hear the news."

He glanced playfully at the captured wizards before them, smirking.

"If we're not harsh enough with our enemies, then we're just asking for trouble."

Alex looked down at Augurey lying nearby, then turned to Azalea.

"Is there anything you want to say to her?"
