Chapter 618 - Chapter 618: Is Xiao Yan Still a Virgin? The Goal of Becoming a Dou Di

Chapter 618: Is Xiao Yan Still a Virgin? The Goal of Becoming a Dou Di

Three figures slowly emerged from the black mist. Among them, the one in the center wore a plain black robe. His face was utterly unremarkable, appearing as ordinary as any regular person.

Yet, despite his plain appearance, at that moment, the sight of him caused most of the people present to hold their breath, their eyes filled with gravity and fear.

It was the Soul Hall Master!

This fearsome figure, whose reputation spread terror throughout the entire Central Plains, now hovered quietly in the sky. His eyes were as calm and still as a meditating monk's, showing no emotion whatsoever.

"Soul Hall Master..."

Mo Yu and Xiao Yan both squinted their eyes, gazing at the figure. They exchanged a glance, and a hint of seriousness flashed in both of their eyes.

As Mo Yu stared at the Soul Hall Master, the latter seemed to sense it. Slowly, he turned his head, his ancient, emotionless eyes scanning Mo Yu and Xiao Yan before speaking in a cold, indifferent tone.

"I never expected the Thunder Clan to produce a divine-bloodline descendant, nor did I think the fallen Xiao Clan would birth someone with such talent. It seems the Soul Hall has been negligent."

"Do not blame yourself, Master. It is all due to our incompetence," a figure behind the Soul Hall Master replied respectfully. He lifted his head slightly, revealing his face. It was the Soul Hall Vice Master.

"These two will one day become great threats," the Soul Hall Master said, ignoring his subordinate's words. His voice remained cold and steady, sounding strange and eerie.

Hearing this, the Vice Master opened his mouth, but then turned to the figure standing silently beside him and gave a dry laugh. "No matter how strong those two boys are, they can't possibly surpass the Young Clan Master. There's no need to worry too much."

"Mo Yu, an old enemy indeed," the figure finally spoke. He raised his head, letting the light fall on his face. He looked about thirty years old, his expression completely emotionless—neither happy nor sad. But what drew the most attention were his eyes.

His eyes were entirely black—an intense, pure black. There was no white in them, just two jet-black orbs, as if two black jewels had been embedded in his eye sockets. Just looking into them sent a chilling sensation through anyone's heart.

The man slowly turned his head, locking his gaze onto Mo Yu. His voice was soft but cold, carrying a hint of mystery.

"Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye. I still remember when I was defeated by Mo Yu in the northwest."

"What?" Hearing this, the Vice Master's eyes narrowed slightly. He clearly hadn't expected that the Young Clan Master, Hun Feng, who possessed the divine bloodline of the Soul Clan, had once been defeated by Mo Yu.

Indeed, this was Hun Feng, who had once left the Soul Realm for some excitement and battled Mo Yu during the war that wiped out the Yunlan Sect in the Jia Ma Empire.

Back then, both Hun Feng and Mo Yu were still young and brash, and after a disagreement, they fought. Mo Yu, relying on his strong trump cards, managed to defeat this Soul Clan genius.

This defeat had become a lifelong shame for Hun Feng, a thorn deeply buried in his heart.

In fact, this event had driven Hun Feng's motivation to train over the years—his primary goal was to defeat Mo Yu and erase the stain of his past failure. Now, facing Mo Yu once again, Hun Feng found it difficult to suppress the emotions stirring within him.

But he quickly controlled his impulses. His black eyes glanced at Mo Yu one last time before closing slowly. He knew that now wasn't the right time to confront Mo Yu. After all, everyone present was here for the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame. Starting a fight now would only allow others to take advantage.

Mo Yu also recognized Hun Feng. His eyes narrowed slightly as he muttered, "It's him."

Even though time had passed and appearances had slightly changed, Mo Yu could never forget Hun Feng's distinctive black eyes.

"Cousin, this guy is here too…" Xiao Yan muttered as his gaze lingered on the Soul Hall Master's group, particularly Hun Feng.

"Yes, this one's a divine-bloodline member of the Soul Clan and likely still the Young Clan Master. He's a tough opponent," Mo Yu nodded slowly. Then, with a light chuckle, he added, "But since we're together, this Hun Feng shouldn't be much of a problem. He's just someone I've already beaten before."

"Exactly. He probably still holds a grudge from back then," Xiao Yan smiled, recalling their battle in the Jia Ma Empire.

"The Soul Hall Master is a formidable foe. Be careful," Ziyan warned, her expression no longer playful.

Among everyone present, only Ziyan had the strength to potentially challenge the Soul Hall Master. However, she knew that even she couldn't defeat him. At best, she could escape unscathed.

At this moment, a hearty laugh rang out from not far away. "Mo Yu, Brother Xiao Yan! You two are here for the same reason, I see!"

Following the sound of the laughter, several figures appeared as fast as lightning, arriving beside Mo Yu and Xiao Yan.

Mo Yu glanced at the newcomers and smiled. "Ah, Brother Huo Xuan, it's been a while. How have you been?"

The group of three that had arrived was led by a tall, handsome man dressed in white. He was none other than Huo Xuan from the Yan Clan, whom Mo Yu had met in the Ancient Realm. Beside him stood the familiar veiled woman in red, and this time, there was also an elderly man in purple robes.

"Mo Yu and Brother Xiao Yan, you two are truly extraordinary. In just a few short years, you've both reached the Dou Saint level," Huo Xuan remarked, clasping his hands in respect.

Xiao Yan smiled modestly. "Brother Huo Xuan, you've also made great progress as a high-ranking Half-Saint."

The three began to chat casually, and there were no awkward silences between them since they had met before.

However, during their conversation, a delicate, bell-like voice suddenly drifted into everyone's ears.

"Brother Xiao Yan, Cousin Mo Yu, it's been a while..."

"Xun'er?"

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Mo Yu raised an eyebrow slightly, while Xiao Yan's face lit up with joy.

Soon after, the space not far from them began to ripple, and several figures slowly appeared. At the front was a young woman dressed in an elegant green robe, her face as beautiful as a flower. It was none other than Xun'er.

Beside her stood two others. One was Gu Qingyang, a genius of the Gu Clan second only to Xun'er in terms of talent and bloodline. The other was an elderly man with long white hair, dressed in a blue robe. His face carried a gentle smile, though a sharp glint of danger lurked beneath it.

Of course, the person happiest to see Xun'er was none other than Xiao Yan. He rushed forward, hugging her tightly in a bear-like embrace, his face full of joy and affection.

Seeing the two lovers so lost in their reunion, Mo Yu chuckled and shook his head. "Looks like Xiao Yan was really holding back."

As Mo Yu watched the scene unfold, his thoughts wandered. A strange expression appeared on his face as he glanced at Xiao Yan.

Thanks to Mo Yu's intervention, Cai Lin (Medusa) hadn't had any misunderstandings with Xiao Yan as she had in the original storyline. Given Xiao Yan's upright nature and Xun'er's protective presence, it was unlikely that he had developed any close relationships with other women.

Moreover, Xun'er, bound by the rules of the Gu Clan, had been forbidden from getting too close to Xiao Yan. With that in mind, Mo Yu realized that Xiao Yan—now thirty years old and a father in the original timeline—might still be a virgin!

At this thought, the corner of Mo Yu's mouth twitched slightly, and he found himself silently sympathizing with Xiao Yan for a brief moment.

It had to be said, Xun'er was a beautiful, noble woman and the dream of countless men. But the price of winning her heart came with strict conditions. The requirement of remaining chaste alone would likely be impossible for eighty percent of men.

Watching Xiao Yan and Xun'er embrace so tightly, as if trying to melt into one another, Mo Yu couldn't help but nod in understanding. They were both in their prime, full of youthful passion. It was a shame they had been forced to restrain themselves for so long.

Still, despite his understanding, Mo Yu couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. He noticed that Gu Qingyang, standing nearby, sighed softly and muttered, "Aren't you two going to acknowledge the rest of us?"

Hearing his comment, Xun'er's cheeks flushed slightly before she quickly regained her composure. She slipped out of Xiao Yan's arms and turned her attention to Mo Yu and Yao Lao, respectfully nodding toward them. She then greeted Yao Lao with the courtesy of a junior.

"This must be Xiao Yan's mentor, Senior Yao Chen, right?" she asked.

"Haha, little girl, we've met before, though not face-to-face until now," Yao Lao replied with a laugh.

"Senior Yao Chen, please forgive me for any past misunderstandings," Xun'er said, her voice tinged with regret.

"Haha, it's nothing to dwell on. As Xiao Yan's teacher, I welcome his future bride into our family," Yao Lao said cheerfully.

Xiao Yan grinned and introduced Xiao Yi Xian, Zi Yan, and the other women beside Mo Yu, explaining that as his cousins, Xun'er should get to know them.

Xun'er understood and greeted them warmly before engaging in conversation. Though they hadn't all met before, the women quickly bonded over shared experiences, becoming fast friends.

Taking advantage of this moment, Mo Yu pulled Xiao Yan aside and whispered, "Xiao Yan, have you... you know... with Xun'er yet?"

Though it was an awkward topic, men had their brotherhood bonds, and this was one of those times. Mo Yu and Xiao Yan were as close as brothers, so there was little room for embarrassment.

Xiao Yan was taken aback at first but quickly understood. His face flushed red as he stammered, "I… I..."

Seeing Xiao Yan's reaction, Mo Yu confirmed his suspicions and patted him on the shoulder with sympathy. "Don't worry, Xiao Yan. Once you break through to Dou Di, I'm sure the Gu Clan won't be able to stop you from being with Xun'er."

Xiao Yan remained silent, a bitter smile creeping across his face.

Dou Di?

The Dou Di realm had been lost to the world for thousands of years. It wasn't something easily achieved. And the idea of becoming a Dou Di just to consummate his relationship with Xun'er sounded absurd.

Even so, deep down, Xiao Yan couldn't deny the frustration he had been bottling up. Being with Xun'er, the most remarkable woman in the entire continent, but constantly restricted by the Gu Clan's rules—it was like holding a mountain of gold that he couldn't touch. The frustration was real, and sometimes it was unbearable.

Especially seeing Mo Yu surrounded by beautiful women, Xiao Yan couldn't help but feel envious. Despite his unshakable will, he couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed at times.

As Mo Yu and Xiao Yan whispered, Xun'er, noticing the strange smile on Mo Yu's face and Xiao Yan's troubled expression, became puzzled. She glanced over at them, but even with her sharp intuition, she couldn't possibly understand the topic of their conversation.

"Xiao Yan, Cousin Mo Yu, this is Elder Gu Nanhai from my Gu Clan. He's come with me to investigate the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame."

Following her sixth sense, Xun'er approached and introduced the blue-robed elder standing behind her, breaking up the men's conversation.

"Is the Gu Clan also interested in the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame?" Mo Yu asked, his expression neutral as he turned to the elder.

"Haha, you must be the legendary Mo Yu of the Thunder Clan, right? The Gu Clan isn't particularly interested in the Demon Flame. In truth, no one can truly tame such a thing. We just want to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands—especially not the Soul Clan's," the elder replied with a smile, his tone kind and respectful.

Indeed, Mo Yu's reputation and strength earned him equal treatment, even from someone as esteemed as Gu Nanhai.

Hearing this, Mo Yu nodded in agreement. Like Gu Nanhai, he wasn't particularly intent on capturing the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame himself. His main objective was to prevent it from being taken by the Soul Clan.

With that thought, Mo Yu's gaze drifted toward the center of the desert, where the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame was soon expected to break free...
