Chapter 15
After things were getting impossible, Genesis the 12 rose came to Aid them, with precision movements that not even the shadow demons could see she ended the fight, noticing that the streets were destroyed she immediately called for the drones to clean it and repair all of the damage.
Once kazumi teleported them back to the garden they were greeted by cassie who was waiting for them in the balcony.
"Oh my god are guys ok i was so worried about all of you!" Said cassie as she ran to them.
"Yeah we're fine, we just had a little trouble fighting those things.." kanas said as she walked inside the house.
"We almost had our butts kick but if it wasn't for Genesis we wouldn't have won" akari also walking inside.
One by one the enter the house, niko jumped to the couch.
"Yeah it was nothing to it…now to get some rest", Niko said stretching her body.
"We came to visit you guys but grandma Rose told us that the city was under attack, we wanted to go but she insisted that we should stay, she told us that it was way to dangerous", Cassie said very sad.
"I think it was for the best, those creatures were way stronger than we thought, it took everything we had to take them down". Iris said.
"I know…i just felt so usless not being there to help"
"You're time will come Cassie i know it", iris sisd while hugging Cassie.
"Say…where is your brother?", kaori said looking around.
"Oh kyle?… well he's.."
"Did something happen to him!?" Kazumi said worried.
"No he's fine, it's just that we grandma told us what happened he turned the tv to see the fight".
"And then what happened".
"One of those things destroyed the camera and the signal went off, he closed his eyes because…"
Asuka closed her eyes smiling and replied, "he thought something bad happened to us so he got worried".
Cassie nodded, "that's correct".
"Poor kyle he must be sad now, where is he?", momo said holding her hands.
"I'm not sure…he left outside and didn't say a word".
Akari sneaked behind lily with a grin on her face, "you know we should go and see if he's doing ok don't you agree lily?".
Lily's ears when up and blushed, "what why me?"
Akari poke lily's cheeks, "oh come on lily you know why... besides you told me on the way here that you couldn't wait to see kyle so that he could make you a meal".
Lily got flustered, "stop it akari your embarrassing me!!!".
"Come on stop acting all tough and let's go find him", akari said while dragging lily outside.
"Wait, stop, i didn't agree on this!!!", lily shouted as both of them went outside.
Genesis stepped inside the house looked completely different from it was when she left, she noticed that it was it had everything they needed to live more comfortable. "You actually fix this place up….it looks…nice".
Momo got in front of her with a happy look on her eyes and said, "yes. We do and it's all thanks to Cassie, she got us new beds, fridge, and lots of more stuff…we also got a tv but niko broke it because she saw a monster on it", she giggle while niko talk on the background "I HEARD THAT!!"
after seen that everyone was happy, Genesis closed her eyes and smiled.
Rose walk to the living room, "oh my goodness, it's been such a long time since I saw that sweet smile.
Genesis open her eyes looking at Rose and whispered, "…grandma…."
Rose walk to her and pet her head, it is so good seeing you again in here…and my look at you… you look so strong i can feel that energy inside you.
Genesis didn't say a word and closed her eyes, some of the girls where touched by the moment that some of them had tears on their eyes.
"Thank you for saving your sisters back there, i knew you would come for them", Rose said as she gave a bug hug.
Genesis was surprised and slowly lifted her arms hugging her too, it's been a long time since she felt the sensation of love because of her job, she spents to much time hunting for criminals that she almost forgot what it was like to have a hug, the rest of the crew just kept quiet enjoying the moment...mean while outside of the house akari and lily were searching for kyle who was sitting next to the lake looking at the fish.
Akari spotted him and poke lily's arms, "oh there he is…now go talk to him."
"Ugh fine…"she walk to kyle and stood next to him with her arms crossed, "what are you doing here?".
Kyle was so down that he couldn't hear her and just kept looking at the fish.
"Hey i'm talking to you!!!!" She picked up a small rock and threw it at his head".
Kyle rub his head and turned around, "ow!!! Who threw that!?"
"I did you idiot, I'm trying to talk to you and you just ignored me",
"Li…lily is that you!?"
"Well of course it's me, who else did you expect…"
"I just…."
"Just what…."
"I thought you weren't coming back this time…"
Lily's expression soften, "…kyle…", he look away, lily slowly sit down next to him.
"How did you find me anyway…"
"Because this is where I always come to get away from everything…"
Kyle stop rubbing his head and look at her, "what!?".
Lily smiled and look at the lake, "it sounds stupid but when i want peace or i don't feeling like talking to anyone or even when i just want to be left alone i come to this exact place to clear my head or just chill ...Cassie told us how you felt when we went and fought those demons, kyle you don't have to worry about us when we go out and desl with this sort of stuff, we know how to handle ourselves in combat, me and my sisters got each other's backs and no matter how tough things might get we always have a way to win.
"I know….but when the camara broke i felt like you were really in trouble and i wanted to be there and help but…when i look at myself and know that i don't have any special abilities, i feel so useless.
"You're not useless kyle…you've been s great help to us".
"How? I wasn't there to help you when the jester came and attacked, i wasn't there when Cecilia tried to take momo and i wasn't there when those freaks attacked the city….".
"But you were there when we got to the new school, you were there when we had to do those really hard maths homeworks so that we could focus on our training, you were there when our house got renovated, we were scared and lost kyle even when we didn't knew about this new world …then you , Cassie, jason and Hiro came along and took care of us, always making sure that we don't get ourselves in trouble when we are outside the garden, and for that I'm grateful kyle.
"Thank you lily.."
"And besides you're really important to me…TO US I MENT TO SAY US!!.." a small laughter came out of kyle as lily started to blush, "stop laughing at me!!! I was talking about your cooking it's good and healthy". She pouted and looked away embarrassed.
"I know what you meant lily"….he stood up and extend his hand to lily, lily took his hand and got up, "lets go back inside i bet all of you are hungry, i'll make us something to eat". As they got up a small bush started to move and Akari came out of it crying in a funny way, "you ok Akari?".
"I'm just so touched about this moment…it looks like a romantic novel." Akari said.
Lily sigh, "you watch way to many tv…let's go…"
In the house
Hiro was on the balcony thinking when he got interrupted by yuki.
"Hey…you ok Hiro?".
"Yes i'm fine…"
"I wanted to say thanks for what you did back there…even when i told you to stay put you prove to me that you're brave and courageous…so thanks".
"I just didn't wanted nothing to happen to you like i said i made a promise and i intend to keep it know matter what, but there's something I've been thinking about," yuki listen, "i was thinking about the fight and why i couldn't summon the chaos blade…i tried focusing and concentrating but it was like something was in the way".
"I was wondering the same thing ever since we got here"...she lean on the post of the balcony, "when you fought cessiar the chaos blade appeared in your hands at the very last minute and the same thing happened with the jester, but this time….this time it was different".
Hiro looked at his hand and whispered, "maybe i did something wrong".
"…You didn't…"
Hiro and yuki turned saw that Genesis was standing behind them.
"One of the shadow demons managed to cast a dark spell on you Hiro…."
"So that's why he couldn't use it", yuki said
"Correct….the shadow demons can scene the presence of the chaos power deep within Him, but since Hiro hasn't fully controlled the power of the chaos crystal he is still to weak against shadow magic…the demons knew that so they took precautions and used dsrk magic to block your connection with it".
Hiro look down, "i see…so because i was weak i let them us dsrk magic against me".
"You don't have to feel bad about it Hiro, you're still a learner snd got a long way to go before you can master the crystal's power.
"I know…that's why yuki is training me, so that i can become a better swordsman".
Genesis glared at him and clenched her fist, "that's not enough…" she use extreme speed and appeared behind him, "using your sword is just the beginning of your training…" Hiro gasp as he saw how fast Genesis was, "you still need to learn how to use magic , spells and most importantly how to use your inner potential ...power doesn't just come from holding a sword ....it comes from deep within…" she walked to the door.
"Genesis wait!!".
She stopped in midway.
"Teach me".
"Teach you what…"
"On how to become more stronger, faster and be ready for the next step".
all of the girls came to the balcony so did Kyle and Cassie.
Genesis crossed her arms and replied, "i can't do that…not alone ...you've got twelve teachers living in this house that can and will help you become a great swordsman, each and one of us has a unique way of teaching, the road of becoming a powerful warrior it's not easy…it takes time, sweat, tears and blood…so if you really want to be like us i suggest you start training…"
Hiro nodded.
"Oh and one more thing Hiro…"she look at him with a serious expression as her tone shifts, "…don't disappoint us…"
Hiro look at her with burning eyes, "I won't…"
Kyle put his hands on Hiro's shoulder, "and you're not alone".
Cassie also put her hand's on his shoulder, "we are going to be there along the way by your side".
Asuka looked around for jason, "say…where's jason?".
"Oh he's inside helping grandma Rose with some stuff in the kitchen he should be here by now", at that moment Jason came to them.
"Oh hey guys you all made it we were really worried about you" jason said, he also noticed Genesis and ask, "who's that?".
"That's Genesis the twelve Rose", said Cassie.
Jason walk to next her, "oh my god she's so small, i want to pet her".
"Uh oh" , kana said.
"Um jason I wouldn't do that if i were you…", said kaori.
"Don't listen to them jason ho ahead she really likes that…." Niko said teasing him.
"Oh well ok", jason extended his hand and pet Genesis on her head.
Genesis glared at him as she pick her giant sword and smack Jason so hard that he was sent flying to a tree braking it in halve.
"Ouch that's gotta hurt", akari said.
Momo coverd her mouth with her hands, "poor jason i hope he's okay".
Niko burst in laughter.
Jason tried to get up and replied, "that's not fsir i was out for like 3 episodes and when i finally got a line i got smacked…"
Everyone then began to laugh...
