"Excalibur?!" Arthur replied with a stunned appearance.
"That's right! I am the legendary sword Excalibur!" Excalibur continued to point at Arthur with an arrogant grin.
"Never heard of you..." Arthur replied, resting his chin on his knuckles while changing his face to a composed but slightly disappointed expression. He then let out a sigh.
"Seriously...what did you expect? I haven't heard the name of any weapons. After all, this is all new to me."
"Ah right! Someone with poop-coloured hair must have poop for brains so it makes perfect sense for my glory to have not reached you." Excalibur looked up in deep thought for a moment. Her eyes rolled to the side and she spoke quietly and quickly, mumbling to herself. "Gah...I guess nobody would've heard of me since I've never had a wielder or even ever been to the human world."
"I heard that!" Arthur said harshly to Excalibur.
"Ahem!" Excalibur stretched out her arm along with her palm and placed the other on her hip. "It's time to send you back to where you came. Now remember not to die again! This time it's permanent after all. Summon me and spread my glorious name. Defeat strong foes and make my name known throughout the lands! Go forth my wielder!"
"Finally..." Arthur breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ah! Actually just a sec.."
"Eh?"
"You actually won't be able to use me once you go back."
"...I won't be able to use you? Then what the hell have I been wasting my time doing here?! Hurry up and send me back you damm...egomaniac! Egocalibur! Blehhh!" Arthur stuck out his tongue.
"Haaaah! Egomaniac?! I am nothing if not humble!" Excalibur placed her hand on her chest closing her eyes with a smug expression.
There was a momentary silence...
Excalibur's face started to sweat a little as even she did not believe her own lie.
"Ahem! Unfortunately, you will not be able to use my powers to their fullest extent as the power you possess is far too weak as of now. However, you may be able to manifest me for about...a couple of seconds a day...maybe?"
Arthur looked down at the ground and wore a solemn look with a hint of sadness. Excalibur looked at him and her heart sank a tiny bit. She started waving her hand frantically around, "Hey now, no need to feel bad! I already told you my power is great...you may be sad about not being able to wield me but eventually in the future you'll be able to manifest the great and glorious me for as long as you want! Don't look so down. Haha..." she walked over to him as she spoke giving him a few gentle slaps on the back, attempting to cheer him up.
"That's not what I'm feeling sad about. Honestly, I don't care about wielding you..." Arthur said jokingly.
"Hmph! I see!"
Arthur continued to speak, "See, what's really bothering me right now is my own abilities." He then looked up at the sky that was made by Excalibur. "I'm doubting if I even have the strength people say I have. My potential...you, Kagekawa and even that demon says I have this great potential but what even is that? I just don't feel it..." Arthur's eyes narrowed. "I can't see or imagine myself reaching a level to take him down. Look at me. Just right now I died to some wild beast...how can I ever dream of even reaching and surpassing that demo-"
"EXCALIBBBBBB-PUNCH!" Excalibur had punched the back of Arthur's head with great force. She had sent his face on the ocean floor with his backside sticking up. Arthur immediately got off the ground and started rubbing the back of his head.
"Hey what the hell was that fo-"
"Idiot! Idiot human! Stupid poop-haired human! I can't have my wielder be so weak and I certainly can't have him be so negative on himself!"
"..."
"Stop thinking so hard! It's really annoying for me after all." Excalibur gave an angry but steadfast glare to Arthur. He stared at Excalibur for a moment with nothing to say and then averted his gaze. He cracked a smile and walked over to Excalibur. Each step he took made the ocean floor ripple slightly. He placed his hands on top of Excalibur's head and roughed up her hair.
"Hey! Stop that!"
"Sorry about that Excalibur...I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself. After all, the legendary Excalibur picked me after all, ain't that right?" Arthur raised his fist in the air and winked at Excalibur. "I promise I'll get strong enough to completely wield you." Arthur continued to pat Excalibur vigorously while smiling.
"Enough already human!" Even still Arthur continued to pat her but she didn't mind it so much and let him continue. "It's time you leave this place for now human but don't worry you can come back anytime." She looked down a bit, hiding her little smile.
After a few moments had passed she walked away a tiny bit and turned sideways, one of her arms stretched out with an open palm. "Arthur! Make sure you remember these words!"
"Got it!" Arthur focused, making sure to pay attention to every word.
「Врата легендарного Экскалибура открываются и соединяют миры! Разделяйтесь!」
Just then a black circular vortex appeared, and it grew larger, with surrounding black particles.
"There we go!" Excalibur excalimed with a self-satisfied look as she swept both of her palms together. "That's your way out, now go stupid human!"
"Thank you for everything...Excalibur. My head's a lot clearer now." Arthur grinned, walking past her while giving her a pat on the head. He then turned his head as he felt a little tug from the back of his clothes.
Excalibur had turned her gaze downwards, it was clear she was sad and with a quiet tone she spoke, "...you made sure to remember the spell right? You know, so you won't get lonely..."
Arthur then looked at the top of Excalibur's head and gently caressed it.
"That's right I made sure to remember." Arthur gently replied, reassuring the worried Excalibur.
"And you'll make sure to visit me at least once a week..." she murmered.
"Even more than once a week and don't you worry it won't just be me visiting. I have someone else in mind I'm sure you'll get along with." His mind thought of Chronos as he could see them getting along well.
"Really...?" She looked up at Arthur with innocent and joyous eyes.
Arthur then smiled at Excalibur and gave her a thumbs-up. "Of course! I'll come visit you every single day Excalibur if that's what you want. Who the hell do you think I am?!" Arthur asked trying to sound cool and with the bravado Excalibur once showed. He planted his hand on his chest and spoke confidently, "I'm the wielder of the legendary Excalibur after all, Arthur!" He exclaimed with a smug face.
Excalibur couldn't help but smile and laugh thinking he looked lame. She then gave Arthur a huge and unexpected hug for a moment and then pushed him away.
"Foolish human! Get going already. I'd get sick from you visiting that many times! Blehh!" She stuck out her tongue while waving Arthur to shoo away. Arthur then walked just next to the portal and turned around for one final time. He stuck out his tongue smiling while also waving goodbye and then he walked into the portal.
The portal had then closed by itself. Excalibur sat on the ocean floor with her knees tucked into her chest and her arms wrapped around. Her body relaxed and her face looked a little dejected. She then mumbled to herself, "...please visit soon, Arthur." A tear droplet rippled the ocean.
For a long while, Excalibur had been isolated in her own world, waiting for the right wielder. For a wielder that she deemed worthy but in this wait a loneliness grew. A loneliness that was shattered once she had found Arthur and talked to him. Deep in her heart she hoped to never experience this prolonged isolation once more.
