Chapter 48 - Weapon!

Arthur rested against the back of the sturdy oak wall, clutching his arm as blood streaked down his face. His breathing was heavy and his heart was beating loudly. Then his eyes began to narrow, he was just about able to stay conscious. He looked up at this monstrous creature that defeated him with ease.

"Give it everything you got you overgrown deer!" He shouted with his last breath as he smirked, his eyes started to close and finally shut.

The black deer grew even bigger in size and its chest especially began to expand. Its chest brightened from the inside and you could see the monster's ribcage illuminating against his black skin. It pinned Arthur's unconscious body to the ground and loomed its head over the soon-to-be corpse. It opened its mouth wide and a small white light began to form. This spherical light grew bigger and then it began to take shape.

A large white laser beam was shot into Arthur's chest! It made a large perfect circular hole through and it kept going into the ground making a deep circular hole where the bottom couldn't be seen.

"RAGHHHHHHHH!" The creature held his head high and began to shout a monstrous cry as if to say "Victory is mine!"

Arthur's lungs and heart were completely gone and his eyes were devoid of life.

Arthur had died before ever getting a chance to battle Sedah.

The monstrous deer had then crouched its forelegs and made one great big leap. It completely broke and crashed the oak dome-like structure with ease and the monstrous deer went into the sky going someplace else.

"Oi! WAKE UP ALREADY!"

"..."

Arthur's whole body was lying on an ocean floor, though he wasn't sinking but even still the oceans rippled. Standing over him was someone, who looked exactly like him.

It started to kick Arthur. "Dammit! I SAID WAKE UP!"

"Huh...! Ow ow ow! That hurts! Will you stop doing that?!" Arthur woke up and sat up.

"FINALLY YOU'RE AWAKE!"

Arthur looked down to see an ocean floor filled with nothing but emptiness. "Oh crap! I'm going to sink!"

"...YOU IDIOT! DON'T YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE SINKING ALREADY IF IT WORKED LIKE A NORMAL OCEAN!"

"Jeez! I'm sorry, alright? Will you stop yelling?" Arthur looked up to see a figure of himself. "So, where am I?"

"Well, if I had to say...right now! You! Are! In! My! World!"

"I see...something else is bugging me though.." Arthur started to scratch the back of his head.

"Bugging you..?"

"Yeah..." Arthur looked up.

"Yeah...?"

"Why is the sky that ugly orange colour?" Arthur straightforwardly asked.

"That's your question..?" The copy of Arthur had a vein appear on his forehead. "Tch!" The fake Arthur snapped their fingers, and in an instant, the sky turned to a clear blue. "Tell me, is that a better colour, you damm critic?!"

"Well...I wasn't exactly telling you to change it but doesn't it look better in blue?" He asked with a small smile on his face.

The figure appearing as Arthur looked up, and in its mind it realised it did look a lot better.

"...WHATEVER! ENOUGH ABOUT THE SKY!" The clone of Arthur folded its arms and looked away. Don't you have anything more compelling to ask like 'why I look like you' or 'why am I here after I died'...you know something along those lines!"

Arthur's facial expression changed to shock. "I'm dead?!"

"...you just realised now?!"

"Ah! That's right...I am! I guess I did die...I lost consciousness after fighting that super-strong creature. So I guess it killed me?"

"Hey...are you like an idiot or something? Don't tell me I picked wrong?"

"Picked wrong...?"

"That's right! Right now! Here and now! I am currently trying to save your life."

"I see...well thank you then!" Arthur replied with genuine gratitude.

"You idiot! It's not going to be that easy!"

"Ehhh...seriously? Can't you give me a break...I just died after all." Arthur gave a big grin.

"Seriously...if you keep talking anymore I'll reconsider the saving you part!"

"Sorry, alright? My bad...I do have another important question." He spoke with a serious tone and visage.

"Why do I look like you, right?"

"Yes yes! That!...and also...why do you have such a girlish voice?" He asked with a curious countenance.

"Human...you...agh! Hmph! I can't take it anymore! You're like superrr super annoying! Why did I choose you?! Wahhh!" The clone of Arthur began stomping their feet. Soon, the ocean floor began to ripple and the sky began to shake. It was clear that she was throwing a tantrum and about to cry.

Arthur stood up and patted the clone of himself on the head, ruffling up their hair. "I'm really sorry, alright? Haha...no need to get angry, right?" He said with a nervous smile. In the back of his mind, he thought it was weird to see himself throwing a tantrum.

The clone of Arthur then pouted. A huge flash then blinded Arthur. The clone of Arthur morphed. Its hair grew longer and its hair became blonde. Its eyes turned red from green and its height became smaller.

The blinding light soon disappeared, Arthur looked down, his hand now on top of the head of a smaller figure.

He looked down to see a cute girl with long blonde hair. She seemed to have the age of a young teen.

"Get your hand off of me you insolent low-life human!"

Arthur stopped petting the girl and took a few steps back.

"Ah! You transformed! How cool!"

"Idiot! This is my true form. Behold! Look at me in all my brilliance! Aren't I cute and beautiful? The likes of you shouldn't even gaze upon a being like me and my true form. I'm absolutely majestic and much better looking than you and your ugly face and poop-coloured hair! Heh!" The blonde-haired girl sat down and looked at the ground, very clearly annoyed. "Forget it now! There's no way in a billion years I'll ever let you use me! On your way now human, get out of my sight! Heh!"

"Wait! Wait! Calm down for a second will you? Listen, I'm really sorry don't give up on me. I promise I won't annoy you any more!" Arthur truly meant it. He interlocked his fingers together and went on the ground and begged the girl to forgive him. He then clutched on to her well-made clothes. "Please give me another chance! I'm really really sorry!"

"You're like so annoying me right now!"

"Ah...sorry..." Arthur let go staring down at the ocean floor.

"Fine! I accept your apology. I won't send you on your way to death for now...just because you're strong and I need a strong wielder. I'll probably never get another chance like this."

"Wielder?" Arthur began to sit on the ocean floor cross-legged facing the girl's back.

The girl faced towards him. "That's right...I've decided you're going to be my wielder and I will be your soul weapon, you got that?"
