"Eyes up," she said. "If you stare at the enemy's body in a real fight, she'll hit you while you're admiring her."
Anya coughed.
Shaia laughed.
Maria picked up a padded staff and pointed it at the black-haired troublemaker. "You. Step forward."
Shaia obeyed eagerly.
Maria circled her once. "Our Sect Master often teaches you how to fight and defend yourself, but today, I'm here to teach you true wisdom," she bragged, her eyes haughtily scanning the disciples as if saying 'I'm the dependable elder of this sect'.
"Ah, Vice Master, does it mean you will teach us how to ease tensions?" Kiki asked innocently, ready to let her know that Veronica had actually taught them the same thing earlier.
"Nonsense, I'm teaching you how to solve tensions entirely! Shaia, someone insults you in public. Not just you. Your sect. What do you do?"
Shaia answered instantly. "Insult her back harder."
Maria nodded. "Good opening."
From the side, Kiki looked scandalized.
