"I've finished reviewing today's evaluation, along with the observations you've shared over the past few days." There was a pause, the sound of papers shuffling. "Based on everything I've seen, the nightmares appear to have had a significant impact on Bella's psychological state. Rather than simply waking frightened, she seems to have retreated into what feels like her safest emotional space."
Leo's gaze instinctively drifted through the glass doors toward Bella sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Dr. Vance continued. "From what you've previously told me, there was another episode in which she behaved much younger, almost as though she had returned to childhood."
He paused briefly.
"This time, however, the pattern is different."
Leo listened carefully.
"Her safe place no longer appears to be tied to a particular age. It's centered around one person."
Leo's expression remained unchanged, though his eyes grew darker.
