Lina's beautiful face tightened with confusion as she stared at her youngest son. Her elegant brows drew together and her usually calm, icy blue eyes slowly shifted from Jay to Jace.
Silence settled over the living room as she studied the two young men standing side by side, trying to make sense of what she had just heard. Her teacup remained frozen in her hand, the delicate porcelain forgotten.
For several long seconds, she couldn't find a single word.
Her mind raced through countless memories. Jay had always been charming, playful, and shamelessly flirtatious. She clearly remembered him talking to girls, teasing them with that bright smile of his, and she had even been convinced he had a girlfriend once. Nothing had ever made her suspect this.
