Chapter 196 - The Death That Broke the Sky

Vipul watched in horror as the massive blade of ice pierced straight through Dhoomketu's chest.

The pain forced a scream out of him.

"BABA!"

Vipul's voice shattered across the battlefield.

At the very same moment, another desperate scream echoed behind him.

"Grandpa!"

But before anyone could even move—

A gigantic crab-like stinger suddenly tore straight through Dhoomketu's heart, bursting out from the other side of his body.

And all Om and Vipul heard after that… was one final broken gasp.

"Ah…"

Then, with trembling breath, Dhoomketu spoke one last time.

"Om… I'm glad we got to meet…"

And with those final words, hanging there upon the sharp pillar of ice, Dhoomketu took his last breath.

He died right in front of Om and Vipul.

The moment Vipul saw his father die, something inside him shattered completely.

A violent divine energy exploded out from within his body as he screamed toward the sky,

"BABAAAAA!"

Meanwhile, Jeevanashini—the very one who had killed Dhoomketu—stood there with tears flowing down her face. She stared at him with unbearable sadness and whispered,

"Perhaps we'll never meet again, my dear Dhoomketu… I wish that in another life, we could've stood beside each other instead of against one another… perhaps… Forgive me. But maybe this was always meant to be your end… and perhaps mine too."

As Jeevanashini mourned him, the entire world watched in silence.

Every screen across the globe carried the same horrifying image.

Some watched from their phones.

Some from their televisions.

But everyone witnessing that moment felt the same heaviness in their chest.

Dhoomketu—the man who had been trying to protect humanity—had just died before the world's eyes.

But nowhere was the shock greater than inside the Ahuja family.

Only moments ago, they had finally found their father… their father-in-law… their grandfather.

And now, before they could even process his return…

they watched him die.

Manoj and Vijay couldn't stop the tears flowing from their eyes anymore.

Sharda had already sent the children away to their rooms so they wouldn't have to witness such bloodshed.

But even then, all four children secretly watched everything through their phones.

The happiness they had felt seeing their grandfather alive…

had now turned into something far more painful.

They watched their grandfather die.

They watched their elder brother lying helpless on the ground after losing.

And worst of all…

they watched their elder uncle trapped between the deaths of both his father and his son.

Meanwhile, Vipul had completely broken down.

His father had died before his eyes.

And his son was standing at death's door.

He kept screaming toward the sky over and over again like a man losing his sanity.

But Om…

Om couldn't even see his father anymore.

The shock of losing Dhoomketu had completely destroyed him from within.

His eyes had gone blank.

He could hear nothing.

See nothing.

It felt as if his soul itself had drifted into another dimension.

And then—

something strange began happening.

A faint blue sphere suddenly started forming in the sky.

Slowly… it spread across the entire battlefield.

The moment Vyomasur, Balasur, and Jeevanashini saw it expanding around them, all three demons froze.

Not just shocked.

Terrified.

Vyomasur stared upward in disbelief and muttered,

"Pure divine energy…"

The next moment, all three demons turned toward Vipul.

Burn marks had started appearing across his chest.

It looked as if a tiny spark had landed on paper and was slowly burning outward in a perfect circle. A glowing blue mark had formed on Vipul's chest, and it kept growing larger and larger.

But instead of looking terrifying…

it looked strangely beautiful.

His powers had gone completely out of control.

The enormous blue sphere now stretched from the ground all the way into the sky, surrounding the entire battlefield.

And because of that mysterious energy—

every satellite feed suddenly failed.

The live broadcast across the world instantly cut out.

People everywhere stared at blank screens in confusion.

No one understood what had happened.

No one knew what was still going on inside that battlefield.

Then—

Vipul slowly raised his burning red eyes toward Jeevanashini.

His voice trembled with rage as he growled,

"I… will… burn… every last one of you… alive…"

But before Vipul could move—

Balasur smiled.

"Oh really?"

And in the very next second—

his blade-like claws pierced straight into Om's chest.

A weak sound escaped Om's lips.

"Ah…"

And then…

his body went completely lifeless.

The moment Vipul saw his son die after already losing his father—

he completely collapsed from within.

The divine energy around his body started drifting away like glowing blue dust as he desperately ran toward Om.

"OM! MY SON!"

Falling to his knees beside him, Vipul quickly pulled Om into his arms and started shaking him frantically.

"No… no… Om, my son… open your eyes, son… please… please open your eyes… you can't die like this… Om… open your eyes!"

His tears wouldn't stop.

"Open your eyes, Om! OPEN YOUR EYES!"

Balasur crouched down nearby, mocking him with a cruel smile.

Then he burst into laughter.

"His soul is gone, angel! Your father is dead… and now your son too! Why are you even still alive? Go back to heaven! Maybe you'll find both your father and your son waiting for you there! Leave Earth to us! Hahahahaha!"

After saying that, Balasur prepared to kill Vipul as well.

He raised his sharp claws toward Vipul's neck—

—but right before the attack landed—

the entire world suddenly glitched.

Reality itself flickered for a second.

And in the very next moment…

Vipul disappeared.

Gone.

Right before Balasur's eyes.

All three demons stared around in shock.

Then Balasur slammed his foot violently into the ground and roared in fury,

"WHERE DID YOU GO, ANGEL?!"
