Chapter 1196 - A Shameless Scoundrel

Translator: CinderTL

When Song Wen demanded a night of passion, Mi Man showed no anger. Instead, she smoothed a strand of black hair behind her ear, revealing a coy smile.

"I'm still a virgin, you know. I can't just give myself away so easily. Since I've given you my heart, my body will be yours eventually. Why rush?"

"When can I have you, then?" Song Wen's eyes burned with greedy desire, his gaze roaming Mi Man's body like a lustful demon.

"If you help me with one task. Succeed, and you can have me entirely!" Mi Man declared.

"What is it?" Song Wen asked eagerly.

A faint, smug smile played at the corners of Mi Man's lips, as if she reveled in her cunning, having ensnared yet another man in her web.

"It's simple. Just return to Great Tan City with me, host a banquet for Senior Sister Xu, and announce our engagement as dao companions."

Song Wen's expression froze, his eyes filled with genuine confusion.

This wasn't entirely feigned; he truly couldn't understand why Mi Man wanted him to do this.

"That... might not be a good idea," Song Wen hesitated.

Mi Man's face softened into a delicate pout, her eyes brimming with wounded tenderness, a sight that would melt any heart.

"Hmph! Don't think I can't see through you. Senior Sister Xu has already fallen for you, and you harbor feelings for her too. Unless we sever that connection, how can I entrust my future to you so easily?"

Song Wen's mind cleared instantly as he finally understood Mi Man's true intentions.

She wanted to use him to stage a performance of romantic affection in front of Xu Mengyu, forcing Xu Mengyu to witness her beloved with Mi Man, thereby tormenting her.

What a cruel and insidious scheme!

As for her promise of "complete surrender," it was nothing but empty words. Once the deed was done, she would simply retreat to the Spirit Jade Palace, leaving Song Wen, a mere rogue cultivator, powerless to retaliate.

Song Wen had no interest in the tangled web of grievances and affections between Mi Man and Xu Mengyu.

However, his desire to maintain his Lei Yue persona prevented him from killing Mi Man outright.

Still, he could indulge in some pleasure with this beauty who had come knocking on his door.

After all, she had dared to target him.

She deserved to suffer a little.

"Fellow Daoist Mi Man," Song Wen said, "though I long to accept your proposal, I cannot. Senior Bai Wei of your sect warned me that if I ever approached Xu Mengyu again, she would ensure my death without burial."

Mi Man's eyes froze, a flicker of surprise crossing her face.

"Senior Bai Wei said that?"

"Would I lie to you? Though my heart belongs to you, this matter concerns my life. I dare not agree so lightly. Unless..."

Song Wen's voice shifted abruptly, but he left the sentence unfinished.

"Unless what?" Mi Man pressed urgently.

"Unless you and I first share the joys of marital union," Song Wen said. "Then we would become dao companions. Even if it meant facing mountains of blades and seas of fire, I would follow you."

"This... this is impossible," Mi Man hesitated briefly before rejecting him outright.

"Then this matter is concluded," Song Wen said. "Fellow Daoist, please disembark immediately."

"You're really willing to let me go?" Mi Man asked, her voice tinged with disbelief. She had unwavering confidence in her beauty and manipulative skills, and few men could resist her allure.

"Of course I'm not willing," Song Wen replied. "But I'm no naive child. If you offer me no reward, why should I risk my life so easily?"

Mi Man hesitated, unwilling to leave empty-handed yet unwilling to truly surrender herself to this rogue cultivator.

As she wavered, Song Wen spoke again.

"Just yield to me. Once you become mine, I will obey your every command. Whether you want me to meet Xu Mengyu or even assassinate her, I won't hesitate."

"Is that true?" Mi Man asked, her voice hesitant.

"Absolutely true," Song Wen affirmed.

Mi Man bit her lower lip, her silver teeth pressing into the flesh as she pondered.

"Then... be gentle. I've never done this before."

"Very well!"

Song Wen surged to his feet, pouncing on Mi Man and pinning her to the deck.

With a violent tear, her pink robes ripped into shreds.

"Not here! Someone might see us! Let's go to the ship tower!" Mi Man cried out in alarm.

"Then let them watch..."

Three days later.

In a mountain valley where towering trees reached for the sky, Song Wen sat on the deck, massaging his still-healing knee.

His injuries, though minor, still hampered his movements.

Mi Man sat beside him, straightening her clothes, her cheeks flushed crimson, but her eyes held a hint of resentment.

"Lei Yue, you must be satisfied now. When will you go to Great Tan City to see Xu Mengyu?"

"Soon," Song Wen replied. "I'll go once my leg is fully healed."

"Your injury is already much better," Mi Man insisted. "We should leave as soon as possible."

Song Wen shook his head. "No, I'll wait until it's completely healed."

Mi Man bit her lip. "Fine, I'll wait for you."

"Fellow Daoist, don't bother putting your clothes back on," Song Wen said. "Tearing them up was a waste."

Mi Man's eyes widened as Song Wen lunged toward her.

"Wait..."

Another three days passed.

Mi Man breathed a sigh of relief as Song Wen finally dismounted her and began dressing.

She flipped over to stand, but her brow furrowed sharply, as if she had aggravated an old injury.

"Lei Yue, it's time to go to Great Tan City, isn't it?" Mi Man asked, retrieving fresh clothes from her storage ring.

"Not yet," Song Wen replied.

"Your legs are fully healed. Why haven't we left yet?" Mi Man froze mid-motion, her voice incredulous.

"I'm not in the mood today," Song Wen said casually. "We'll leave when I feel like it."

Mi Man's expression turned icy as she finally understood.

"You..." Her eyes blazed with fury, her willow brows arching sharply. "You dare mock me!"

Song Wen feigned confusion. "Fellow Daoist, what do you mean? I never said I wouldn't go. As long as you serve me well, I'll take you to see Xu Mengyu one day."

"I... I'll kill you!" Mi Man's rage surged, and a longsword materialized in her hand.

Song Wen's face turned cold as a bolt of lightning crackled into existence before him, poised to strike.

"Mi Man, I advise you to think carefully!"

Mi Man glared at Song Wen, her eyes seeming to spit fire. After a moment of internal struggle, her expression shifting through a range of emotions, she finally sheathed her sword.

She glanced down at a smear of blood on the deck before swiftly ascending into the sky and fleeing into the distance.

"Fellow Daoist Mi Man, there's one more thing you should know. Yesterday, I secretly used an image stone to record a portion of our... intimate moments. If you don't want that stone copied a thousand times and spread throughout Great Tan City, you'd best not harbor any ill intentions toward me."

Mi Man froze mid-air, a dignified Divine Transformation Stage cultivator nearly losing her balance and plummeting from the sky.

She turned back, her gaze venomous.

"Lei Yue, you resort to such despicable tactics."

Song Wen chuckled. "Thank you for the compliment, Fellow Daoist. You're no slouch yourself."
