Xandra's POV:
"Wow, everything looks perfect and dazzling". Drey exclaimed and Max grinned.
"Of course, it's my babies' baby shower, I don't expect anything less".
"Exactly, everything must be in place". I added.
"Mummy, mummy, I brought this for baby Felix, I'll use it to decorate the nameplate". He said excitedly holding a toy car in his hand.
I clapped twice,"Ok, let's put some finishing touches to the decorations,the guests will soon start arriving".
We all got busy with the decorations while Mira took care of the babies. It was supposed to be me taking care of them,but, I wanted to decorate so much, I couldn't pass.
Grrn grrn grrn
" Nelson, would you like to get the first guest?".
" Yes yes ". He yelled as he dashed for the door.
" He's more eager than anybody ". Drey smiled.
" He two beautiful siblings, it's no wonder he's excited ". I grinned.
He soon came back walking behind his grandfather and grandmother.
"Welcome Mr. Kim, Mother". I greeted them.
"Come hug me my daughter, you did well".
She hugged me close and patted my back.
"You are not angry that I didn't visit until now?". She asked.
"No way, I don't dare. I'm already honoured you came here today". I replied.
"I've been longing to visit my grandchildren and hold my dear babies in my arms but your father-in-law insisted we wait and let you enjoy your time with your husband".
"Thank you Mother".
"You call her Mother, but you call me Mr. Kim, I'm envious ".
" Uh, I...".
" Call me father ".
"Seriously, I can? I'm not dreaming?".
He pinched my cheek in response," does it hurt?".
"Yes yes, father,it hurts". We both laughed.
"Xandra, I know I've not been exactly good to you in the past, I'm sorry, I have no excuse". He bowed.
"No no no, father, I can't accept your bow". I bowed in turn lower.
"I understand you did that because you love Max, I'm happy Max has a family that loves him like that and would protect him ".
" From today onwards, don't treat me as you would your father-in-law, I'm now your father,do you understand?".
I felt warm in my heart," thank you father ". I said and hugged him.
" Are you crying dear". Mother asked me.
" I'm just too happy, everything good is just happening I'm afraid I might be dreaming ".
" You are not dreaming dear, you've used up your bad luck,now you only have good luck left ". She patted me.
" Thank you father, mother".
They smiled.
"And you, won't you come greet your parents?". Mother said to Max watching from the back.
"We didn't want to interrupt your precious time with your daughter".
"Welcome Mr and Mrs. Kim". Drey said.
"You can call me mother, I would be happy to have a capable son like you".
" Me too". Father said.
"What,he should call you mother too?". Max replied him and we all burst out laughing.
" Where are my babies, I can't wait to hold them ". Mother asked after the laughter died down.
" They are upstairs with Mira, Nelson, will you take grandma and grandpa upstairs?".
" Yes mummy ".
Soon after, Dora also came,she barely said hi before she hopped upstairs. I guess they are all more excited about Felix and Diamond than any other person.
The next guest that arrived was one I didn't expect, Luci. I was happy to see her again and we greeted each other cheerfully.
She also learnt to call me Xandra, I'm happy and at peace knowing she will always treat Slayers as her own and protect it with everything she has.
She wanted to return the company to me but I felt it would be unfair taking it back. I was the one who failed to protect my parents property well but God was still so merciful as to let it end up with Luci,who is like a family to me.
I couldn't ask for more.
We didn't know many people so it wasn't too crowded. Everyone was too excited and wanted to get a hold of Felix and Diamond. I barely held them all day.
They even forgot to eat, hilarious.
They all brought gifts for them and we had fun unboxing them together with the guests.
The baby shower was one of the most memorable moments in my life.

Drey and Mira soon got married and we continued to live together as one big family.
Drey lost the bet with Jade and paid the 1000000XOF with pleasure. He couldn't be more happy losing money.
