"Do something." He shouted as the beam began breaking chunks off the ice shield.
Damon launched over seven cloud swords aiming for its wounds while Calvus made more images, swapping with them bolting in and out striking the beast with a large hammer.
Everything they were doing still wasn't enough to break its focus on Fang. His ice shield was nearly gone and neither of their attacks were going deep enough.
"Damon make the biggest sword you can and aim for one of the wounds again. I'll finish it from there. " Calvus shouted.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Damon summoned as many clouds as he could. They all twisted together forming a seven foot trident. He grabbed it and jumped up high, arching the trident back throwing it so hard a slight whistle was heard trailing it.
Although Calvus said a sword, Damon had been wanting to try a trident for a while and thought now was the best time as any.
Boom!
The beast body shook and slid a little, but the beam remained steady. Multiple images of Calvus blinked distracting it from the front. They all swung twisting the hammer head hitting the back of the cloud trident. All of the fake images strike phased through its body while the real one hit its mark.
The Trident dug deeper in its side ripping through its ribcage. It swung the beam wrecklessly for a moment befor slashing at everything with its claws. Two managed to graze Calvus leg stripping away flesh.
Now that fang was in the clear he bolted in covering his fists in ice and with two more strikes he hit the back of the Trident, it flew out the other side making the beast roar in pain.
It hit the ground twitching, moaning in discomfort as Damon released his focus on his trident, making it disappear.
Damon could keep his manipulated clouds solid at will, but the longer they remain solid the more tired he felt.
Everyone was breathing heavily as they looked at eachother while walking up to the beast.

[Bull Bear- high matured beast ]
A short tempered beast with thick skin. Its territorial nature keeps other beasts away as it can falsely manipulate it's level through secretion.
[Strengths- radioactive energy and claws.]
[Weakness - severing its horn elimantes its radioactive energy leaving it with only its physical strengths.]
"A high matured beast." Damon said out loud.
"Yes, how did you know. Asked Fang as he was placing the tablet back in his pocket after scanning it.
"Ugh, just a guess." Damon responded with shifty eyes.
"Apparently it has a skill to deceive it's enemies by lowering its maturity level. When i first scanned it, the tablet labeled it as a mid matured beast. "
Calvus walked away and sat down slowly. He was bleeding and in pain. Fangs hands where screwed up pretty bad as well, Damon was the only one without a scratch.
Fang pulled out three red berry like fruits with green stripes on them. He threw one to each of them and kept one.
"Eat it, it'll heal your wounds."
[Flesh fruit- a small berry with natural regenerative properties that can heal many flesh wounds depending on their severity. A lower healing fruit than spirit fruit]
"Wait, we should save them, I can heal you guys. I'm fine, I'm not injured, Follow me outside for a moment."
Fang and Calvus looked at eachother for a second but followed him out. Misty rain began falling and gradually they could feel their wounds healing. Calvus bloody leg was being cleaned and he could feel his skin and flesh being repaired slowly.
"It seems you're full of surprises. "
" Dude it's like your ability are really abilities or something."
"Well this one saved my life recently. it's slow but it'll heal you. Just stay in the mist for a while, i'll go start cutting up the beast for more food."
As he walked back inside he received a surprised notification.

Damon eyes widened in thought, it took him a minute to figure it out, but It was his attack that actually killed the beast so he reaped the rewards. His exp threshold increased to 1200 which would make his next level up even tougher.
He couldn't believe it. Then again the beast was high matured which was way stronger than a low or mid matured beast.
He only killed a handful of low matured beasts while in route, but with a streak of luck and the help of Calvus and Fang. His level jumped up by 5 and he was awarded max attribute points, and for the first time after killing a beast he received a soul beast core. It was already within his inventory thanks to a new skill called Auto harvest.
He thought for a moment as to where he wanted to increase his stats. He added 5 to Stamina. 2 points into strength and 5 into agility. Looking at the stat [will] he didn't know what it was for, and thought to focus on others until otherwise.

Damon looked at the message for a moment while looking over his skills. It was the only skill he hadn't used because he lacked a core at the time.
Activating the skill, a cumulus cloud formed around the beast core and disappeared.
[Manipulation time - 240hours.]
That was all the system message said, he didn't know what it did and wouldn't know until ten days passed. However he believed for it to have such a long time frame. Whatever it was had to be good.
Calvus and Fang joined him soon after completely healed and refreshed. They set up camp and fortified the perimeter on the outside of the cave.
Afterwards Fang stood near the entrance gathering ice in his palms. It shot out completely covering the entrance sealing them inside.
Damon and Calvus now understood why Fang was looking for a cave like shelter. For something to come in, it would have to go through his ice door first and they could tell he used a ton of strength to make it as strong as possible.
"Dude I thought you were going start chopping this thing up " Calvus asked.
"Oh, I got distracted a bit, my apologies."
They worked together separating the beast limbs and meat. Damon received message after message whenever he pick up a organ or something from the beast that could be used. It was an automated feature of his oversee skill.
[Bull bear bladder- can be used to produce a level manipulating scent to steer away beasts or lure beasts in. Craft skill must be acquired.]
Most of it was considered garbage to others, but he found out certain parts were actually useful, so he stored it away. Now knowing at one point he could unlock a craft skill he decided to keep any and everything the system deemed craftable.
Fang set up his kitchen appliances and prepared dinner. Everyone was quiet while eating, Damon was thinking about the ape beast. No one had mentioned it after they left, especially Fang.
"What do you guys think it was." Asked Calvus.
Calvus didn't have to say what he was talking about, They already knew, It was on all of their minds.
"It seems it was a very high level beast, one that shouldn't have been here, if this was the right planet. Same for the one we killed for this cave. This was supposed to be a green site with only low maturity beasts. To get swapped to another planet at the last second is crazy."
"You know why their levels are called maturity levels right ?" Fang asked them.
"Their maturity levels determines their intelligence and power. The higher it is the more intelligent and powerful they are." Answered Calvus.
"Correct, after a beast reaches a high maturity it is then broken down in four high grades before it enters into the prime beast level, i don't know what level that thing was."
"Either way that's something way out of my reach in power. I'm only a recent graduate, this task was apart of me gaining favor to join a guild.
"But it could speak Fang, I've only heard of prime beasts being able to talk. My father has dealt with prime beasts before."
"He's told me stories, he went up against one that could speak in the past and It was those types of beasts that made him retire." Said Calvus.
"I know of Sir Hughes greatness and stories, he's one of the heroes in the last major war back when the world was in chaos."
"The Last Stand, I read that book many times admiring the strength of everyone in those times."
"You know it wasn't just our race that helped win that war, but we certainly lost the most." Fang said.
Damon was just taking it all in, he knew nothing about a war and stories. If he did he couldn't remember because of what happened to him years ago. Although many memories came back, many also did not. To hear the ape beast speak wasn't a total shock to him as he had heard and spoken with four beasts already.
Compared to the the four beasts he had spoken with, he considered the ape a low matured beast, but something was bothering him though, if intelligent beasts were so dangerous why did the ape beast let them live. He shared his thoughts and no one could think of a reason.
"He called us weak and told us to leave, he sensed our fear and said our fear could keep us alive. It can only mean a couple of things, either their are more of his kind that aren't as nice as him or its dangers here that he considers a challenge or a danger to himself as well."
"He, she or it, whatever it is, was warning us." Damon said.
A look of dread covered their faces as they realize Damon could be spot on with his assumption. Its not like they didn't know they were way out of their league with facing the beasts on this planet, but to actually see one was something entirely different.
