"Hiruzen, you are the leaf that stands in the sunlight, while I will be the root hidden in the darkness."

Danzo had lived by those words for most of his life. He had believed that someone had to do the dirty work to protect the village, even if it meant sacrificing their own humanity. But in the end, he had become a victim of the very darkness he had created.

As Danzo opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a strange place.

He looked down at his hands and froze.

His body had become that of a young boy, just as he had been when he was younger. He stared at his transparent hands, struggling to understand what was happening.

For a moment, he couldn't even move.

He looked around and found himself standing in a vast white space. However, parts of the landscape reminded him of Konoha. There were familiar buildings and streets, but not a single person could be seen anywhere.

"Am I dead?" Danzo wondered.

He narrowed his eyes as a scene suddenly appeared before him, It was a scene of a man he had known all too well.

So, this is what the man I helped create has become.

Danzo watched as Naruto Uzumaki's entire life unfolded before his eyes, from his birth and lonely childhood to the events of the Boruto era, all the way to the battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki.

He saw everything.

He saw how Naruto had struggled to earn the villagers' recognition, how he had fought to protect the people who once hated him, and how he had eventually become the Seventh Hokage.

But that wasn't all.

Danzo also witnessed the consequences of his own actions. He saw how his decisions had continued to haunt Konoha, even years after his death. The village was still suffering from the effects of the conflicts and hatred he had helped create.

And even after the Fourth Great Ninja War, the actions of his former subordinates continued to threaten Konoha.

Danzo clenched his fists "I never imagined that my actions would become the very thing that pushed Konoha towards ruin."

He had always believed that his methods were necessary. He had convinced himself that working from the shadows would allow him to protect the village without staining the hands of the Hokage.

But after witnessing Naruto's life and seeing how the shinobi world had changed, he finally began to understand the truth.

His methods hadn't made Konoha stronger and In many ways, they had only made it weaker.

"So, this is what I have done..." Danzo lowered his head "Sensei, Hiruzen It seems I was wrong."

He paused for a moment before continuing his thoughts.

"Hiruzen, All I ever wanted was to prove myself. I wanted to become Hokage. I wanted to stand in the sunlight, just like you." as His expression twisted with regret "But somewhere along the way, I forgot why I had become a shinobi in the first place. It was supposed to be about protecting the people of my village, not about satisfying my own ambition."

Danzo looked at his hands again " I told myself that becoming the darkness of Konoha was my duty. I believed that someone had to make the difficult decisions that others were too afraid to make."

He let out a bitter laugh.

"But perhaps I was just using that excuse to justify my own greed." and For a moment, he remained silent.

Then his expression hardened.

"Still, Hiruzen, you were far too soft. Your hesitation and your repeated attempts to avoid conflict helped create this situation, too."

Danzo's eyes narrowed.

"Take the Uzumaki clan, for example. They were our allies, and their sealing techniques could have been invaluable to Konoha. Yet, when their village was in danger, we failed to provide the support they needed."

He shook his head.

"I had suggested sending Root forces to assist them, but things never went the way I wanted. If we had acted sooner, perhaps we could have saved more of them and strengthened our alliance." as He paused, remembering another of his old concerns "And the Senju... If we had allowed them to remain connected to the village instead of slowly disappearing into ordinary civilian life, perhaps the balance between the Senju and Uchiha would have been different."

Danzo knew that he couldn't blame Hiruzen for everything. He had made his own choices, and many of them had been terrible.

Still, he couldn't completely silence the part of himself that believed Hiruzen's leadership had also contributed to Konoha's problems.

"But if I ever get another chance..." as His hands slowly curled into fists "I won't repeat the same mistakes and I defently would have find another way to make Konoha great again."

Meanwhile,

Somewhere within the Pure Land, Hagoromo Otsutsuki watched the same events unfold.

The Sage of Six Paths stood in the vast dimension he had created, a place where the souls of the dead could finally rest after their lives in the shinobi world but His expression was calm, but his thoughts were serious.

"So, this is the future that awaits our world."

He had witnessed the events that would unfold, from the conflicts of Naruto's generation to the dangers that awaited the shinobi world in the Boruto era.

Naruto and the others would continue to fight against powerful enemies, including the Otsutsuki. They would achieve victories, but those victories would come at a terrible cost.

Countless lives would be put at risk, and the future of the shinobi world would remain uncertain.

Hagoromo slowly turned his attention towards Danzo.

He had heard the man's thoughts and witnessed his regret. He knew that Danzo was cunning, ambitious, and capable of making ruthless decisions. Those qualities had once made him dangerous, but they might also prove useful if he learned to control them.

"Interesting..." Hagoromo stroked his beard thoughtfully "He finally understands that his actions were not always for the sake of the village. He still has his flaws, and I cannot be certain that he will truly change."

His gaze grew more serious "But perhaps, if given another chance, he can use his intelligence and experience to prevent some of the tragedies that lie ahead."

Hagoromo had no intention of blindly trusting Danzo. Regret alone could not erase the consequences of his past actions.

However, the future was approaching, and the shinobi world would need every possible advantage to face the threats that awaited it.

"Very well, Danzo Shimura. I will give you one more chance, this time, you must prove that you can protect the village without becoming its greatest enemy."

Hagoromo brought his hands together and began forming a strange hand seal.

A Truth-Seeking Orb appeared near his hand, its dark surface reflecting the strange light of the Pure Land.

The air around him began to change as he channelled his power into the technique.

"Sage Art: Pure World Limbo Sesmara!"

The moment Hagoromo spoke those words, a powerful wave of energy spread throughout the dimension.

Danzo, who was still lost in his thoughts, suddenly felt something strange as His eyes widened.

"What is this?!" Before he could react, the white world around him began to fade and His vision grew darker and darker until everything disappeared and then Danzo Shimura lost consciousness once again, even in death.

"So, you want to establish an ANBU training department, Danzo?"

A familiar voice reached his ears.

"That voice its Hiruzen... ." as Danzo slowly opened his eyes. Bright sunlight flooded his vision, forcing him to blink a few times.

Standing in front of him, with his back turned towards him and his face towards the sunlight, was none other than his old friend, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage.

"Yes, Danzo?" Hiruzen asked again.

Danzo looked at his friend's back in disbelief "Wait a minute..."

He quickly looked around.

This was the Hokage's office. The familiar desk, the furniture, and the large windows were all there. Everything looked exactly as he remembered it.

But something was different.

He looked down at his body. Both his arms were intact, and there was no sign of the Wood Release infection that had plagued him in his previous life now His body was healthy, and his chakra flowed through him without any disturbance.

His right eye was intact, too. Even his left eye, which he had lost in his previous life, was perfectly fine.

There was no Sharingan implanted in his arm, no artificial modifications, and no signs of the experiments he had conducted with Orochimaru to strengthen himself using Hashirama Sensei's cells.

His body was completely normal.
