Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 - Reina’s Song of Pain

Reina's POV

 3 p.m. I was writing in my spiral-bound notebook while clad in my modified grey-and-red combat attire from Gen's organisation. The attire had a matching full balaclava mask with a big horizontal hole for the eyes. I was writing a song dedicated to my guilt and suffering, wanting to let out my emotions on paper. It was called "Goodbye, Kako-san wa", and it was peculiar because it contained a mix of Japanese, English, Vietnamese, Spanish, and Turkish words with English grammar. The background of the music to be used if I were to sing this would be slow, beautiful, and like a masterpiece. It goes like this:

"Goodbye, Kako-san wa"

 "Sayonnara, Kako-san wa

tạm biệt, tạm biệt.

 For all in our times,

Adios wa, ben wa,

Tôi wa miss tu.

 Tôi wa gomen, gomenasai

For mi failures to you…

teçekkürler, tạm biệt.

 For all in our times,

Adios wa, ben wa,

Tôi wa miss tu;

For yo will die uno hibi,

y watashitachi wa reunited in la afterlife,

con tu,

mi amor, mi amor.

 There watashitachi will ikimashou together,

forever, and forever, forever, and forever.

 Sorry por kono,

yo failures to tu…

 For all in our times,

Adios wa, Kako ben wa,

Tôi wa miss tu;

For yo will die uno hibi,

y watashitachi wa reunited in la afterlife,

con tu,

mi amor, mi amor.

 There watashitachi will ikimashou together,

forever, and forever, forever, and forever.

Y watashi wa be normal again for mi mirai."

 When will I sing this song? Who knows. I would do that later or tomorrow. By the way, the afterlife is a metaphor for my normal self being back again.

Third-person POV

 After that, Reina closed his notebook shut and got up, ready to tackle another horde of zombies somewhere in Shinjuku with his combat attire, katana, and assault rifle. He strapped his black combat gloves and wore his helmet, going out to do this task like a cosplayer in a zombie apocalypse.

 At the same time, Eraño was doing some investigative work in the basement, seeing the zombie-infected SWAT soldier, the same one that was commanded by Gen to shoot Reina and bite him last night, being well-behaved despite Eraño's presence as a human. Ichiro admitted that the zombie became well-behaved somehow. The formerly psychopathic ninja didn't mention any of the 'Peace Treatments' that took place here at night, but Eraño secretly knows that thanks to that vision with Reina's shadow and keeps it a secret until tonight after dinner.

 "I feel bad for Reina-kun…" he thought while glancing at the cabinet full of blades and guns.

Earlier, he also witnessed how Tashio, a zombie-infected soldier of Gen and father of his son Kashi, was also docile and well-behaved.

Eraño saw the little shift in these zombies.
