Third-person POV
Shu and Gen spent the rest of the day researching for the cure on the zombie virus and training for their counterattack against the zombies. At night, after dinner, like they had promised, both of them took their second dosage of their 4 medicines for their mental illnesses.
Then, later at 9:55 p.m., the two of them slept together in Shu's room. The main reason why is that Gen would comfort Shu in his trauma. Gen did so as if he was Shu's father. Shu was now sleeping in peace while being hugged by Gen.
A few days had passed, and Shu is now ready to go on assault operations against the zombies in the outside world. So, one morning at 8:20 a.m., Gen assigned him to Nato's squad in the city of Minato within the Tokyo Metropolitan Area while he was still researching and working on the possible cure. Shu accepted it with determination on his eyes, wanting to do something for him in order to alleviate his guilt. And so, in the chaotic streets of Minato city, Shu, Nato, and Nato's squad are now attacking the zombies, who were trying to break into an abandoned café that was being barricaded by some survivors. Nato and his squads, clad in the organization's the grey and red camouflage attires with bulletproof armor, combat helmets, and matching balaclavas with a horizontal opening for the eyes, are armed with guns, flashbang grenades, and riot police shields bearing the kanji logo of the YKY while Shu was armed with his katana. The terrorists of Gen no longer carry vials and syringes containing the zombie virus, nor bullets or gas canisters with zombie essence in them; they now brought clearing against the zombies. Even their bullets are now regular bullets. Shu slain most of the zombies with skills like an anime character. The zombies are no match for their combined skills in combat.
Shu even worn their camouflage gear as a sublimation way of his atonement. After some time, the zombies in that area were killed, and Shu and his group managed to get the survivors out of a café. Those survivors, though afraid of the grey and red colors on Nato's squad, were then led by Nato and his squad to a safer passage in one of the city's subway stations, where a subway train to the safe zone of Chiba City was waiting for them. Shu, meanwhile, continues to scour the surrounding areas with 2 of Nato's squad soldiers:
Enmei Akamatsu – a dual pistol soldier, and he was 20, had dark green hair and black eyes, and he was nerdy
Kaimen Inaba – an assault rifle wielder, and he was 21, had cyan hair, and red eyes, and he tended to be tactical and vigilant.
They no longer carry the YKY's former vials and syringes containing the zombie virus, nor bullets or gas canisters with zombie essence in them; they now brought clearing against the zombies and rescue missions for the survivors who were still locked in the chaos.
At this point, Shu got along with those soldiers and others in Nato's squad very fast, and they understood his pain of his trauma resulted from his past actions on their organization leader. Everyone under the YKY is in collective guilt.
