'Draco could be useful if I play my cards right; he could be my first true alliance that I forge myself, and Narcissa, she is already bound to house black.' I think to myself, then my thoughts turn to lucious rage building in my gut, my magic responding to it.
'Lucious is such a piece of crap,' I think to myself. ' I'll have to find a way to get rid of him sooner or later. I was surprised to find that he would even kill Draco and Narcissa. But it makes sense their marriage was a business deal if he wanted Draco to have control of the black family as soon as Draco was named heir, and if he named himself beneficiary to the black family assets if Draco died while he was heir he would gain everything and be able to runaway happily with his misstresses and be able to lead the Dominon for the rest of his natural born life rather than a few years until Draco grows up.'
I push down the feelings and even out my expression in a placid fake smile for Lucious and a genuine one for Narcissa and Draco. I think my Mother is the only one to notice, as the Malfoys focus on my mother.
"Regent Black, how lovely it is to see you. It's been too long, your sister has missed you desperately," Lucious says to Bellatrix with such a genuine expression that, without further knowledge, you would think it was genuine joy.
"Hello, Lord Malfoy," My mother says, a mocking tilt to her words."My sister is welcome to come to see me at Black Manor at any time. As well as Draco, I've said as much in letters. I would love to instruct him in the ways of the Blacks but not to worry i'm sure the malfoy way to instruct young wizards is just as capable."
Lucious Grimaces slightly at that, but it barely shows crushed under his occlumency, Narcissa smiles a little brighter at her husbands grimace Draco just looks kind of confused not getting the full subtext.
"Say Hello to your Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin, Ronan" My mother says open the door for me to speack
"Hello, Lord Malfoy," I say as I extend my hand A pure blood greeting that needs to be accepted and a major breach of etiquette if it's not and I lean in as if to tell him a secret. drawing extra second as my luck of damned skill drains him." Your cane is quite stylish where did you go to get such expert craftmanship."
He jolts at the question a bit unexpected but After a few second he settles, He pulls back to hold out the cane turning on the side to see the runic engraving covering the side smirking slightly very proud of it. Even momentarily forgetting his hatred of his nephew.
"This beauty was made by Gregorovitch in russia" He replied simply.
"The wand crafter?" I ask in exclamation. Lucious eyes tighten slightly not expecting me to know the name. I had gotten at least an hour at most an hour and a half of luck in the exchange. I moved on to Narcissa.
"Hello, Aunt narcissa it's so good to see you I do hope you've been well" I say in a much calmer tone trying to convey as much genuine emotion as possible. she smiles.
"Yes I Am doing well i see you are growing quite well a future heart breaker in the making make sure to leave some behind for my poor Dragon," She says in an exasperated tone as she rubs her sons shoulder.
"Draco you have gotten taller soon i'll be the one looking up at you." I say to him in a flattering tone. He smiles genuinely. I had always been a bit taller despite the fact that we were the same age that along with my higher status and being known as a prodigy might have given a bit of a complex being seen as an equal made him happy.
"You look good as well Heir Black," He responds a bit stiff trying to follow the pure blood etiquette in front of his parents.
"Now none of that your my dear cousin save that stiff ettiquette and proper behavior for the other heirs," I say trying to let him drop it. He looks at his parents his mother giving a nod. His father seemingly about to disagree when a bird shit on his head. I had to crush the smile from popping on my face with occlumency. Lucious malfoy lets out a few expelitive words and phrases and excuses him self.
Then it was just the four of us, my mother giving me a look like she knew somehow I was responsible but couldn't explain why or how. I tried my best to ignore the look not wanting to give anything away yet.
"Why don't you two go out towards the beach we still have a few hours before you need to get ready for the ball and I think We need to have a bit of a talk dear sister," Narcissa tells Draco and me. Seeing no problem with it My mother agrees.
"We will talk about this later," My mother whispers in my ear before I Head off in a hurry with Draco. A bit in fear of that future conversation.
