Chapter 174: The Arrogant Qiao Princess
Qiao Xier wore a tight blue sports outfit with white stripes, the snug cotton fabric outlining her voluptuous figure perfectly, curves and peaks boldly defined.
She sat on the edge of the bed, her round, full hips sinking deeply into the ivory silk quilt. One hand held her phone as she spoke softly, her gaze fixed on Zhang Yang, who slept soundly beneath the covers. Her beautiful eyes unconsciously softened with faint affection.
After calling her parents that morning, she didn't wake Zhang Yang, choosing instead to handle things herself.
Seeing the flood of news online, she could basically guess who was behind it. The competition between the Cai and Qiao families in Southeast Province had reached its peak, and the Cai family's latest move was clearly aimed at the Qiao family.
What she hadn't expected was that an assassination attempt had somehow turned into a love rivalry between her and Yang Fei—talk about catching stray bullets while lying down.
She couldn't help but marvel at how powerful the media was. Truly, a single pen could kill—a story could be twisted beyond recognition.
Zhang Yang had exhausted himself the night before, and she didn't want to disturb him. But unexpectedly, he came to her instead.
Zhang Yang and Xu Danying had hacked into the websites slandering him and discovered something strange—most of them originated from a company called Xinwei Technology, which was backed by Xingxin Fund. But the background of Xingxin Fund was unclear.
Zhang Yang didn't know much about such behind-the-scenes dealings, so he sought Qiao Xier's help.
Qiao Xier immediately saw through it. Xingxin Fund was controlled by the Cai family's Yongxing Group, confirming that the Cai family was indeed behind everything.
The moment Zhang Yang heard the name "Cai family," he hacked straight into the official website of the Cai family's Yongxing Group. But by coincidence, he saw a familiar face among the company's executives.
Cai Yu—the same Cai Yu he had beaten up that night.
He understood instantly. So it was these Cai bastards! He and Xu Danying immediately started hacking all the affiliated websites one by one.
He didn't even have to do much—the Shadow System was just that powerful.
It was almost semi-automated; once he entered a site's URL, the system automatically found the target's IP address.
Then it would open a backdoor, crack the source code, and grant him super administrator access. After that, Zhang Yang could do whatever he wanted.
Later, he found hacking them one by one too tedious.
So he simply entered a command into the system—to smart-search the keywords Zhang Yang, Yang Fei, and Qiao Xier—and, under the alias Blizzard, hacked every related site.
Then replaced them all with curses against the Cai family.
After doing all that, he simply lay down and fell asleep on Qiao Xier's lap.
What he didn't know—and neither did she—was that many TV station databases were also linked to the internet. His actions had triggered something much bigger.
In just half an hour, the powerful Shadow System tore through the networks like a lion among sheep, erasing every post, article, or video containing the keywords Zhang Yang, Yang Fei, or Qiao Xier—and replaced all of it with insults toward the Cai family.
It wasn't until Qiao Xier later went to the living room and accidentally saw the TV that she realized how big the situation had become.
She wasn't worried about Zhang Yang being caught, though—the Shadow System was far too advanced. It hadn't left a single trace, automatically wiping all evidence after each infiltration.
She wasn't worried about Zhang Yang for now, but she was worried about the Qiao family.
She knew very well that while this chaos would force the Cai family to yield, all the pressure afterward would fall on the Qiao family. Because no matter what, everyone would assume it was the Qiaos' doing.
Given that, she quickly came up with a plan that could benefit both sides.
"Qiao Qiao, you're calling Grandpa?" On the other end of the phone, Qiao Zhengguo's tone was much gentler than when he'd spoken to his sons earlier, filled with affection. Qiao Xier had been raised by him and was the one he cherished most among the third generation. That's why he'd swallowed his pride this morning to meet with Cai Yong in person.
"Grandpa." Qiao Xier glanced at Zhang Yang, who had just turned over, and a faint smile curved her lips. "Qiao Qiao has a way to solve your worries, but you have to promise me one condition first, okay?"
"Heh, little girl, tell me first—what worries does Grandpa have?"
"Grandpa knows better than anyone. All the websites and even TV stations spreading lies about your granddaughter have been hacked by now. I'm guessing Old Cai has already apologized to you, right? Since you had those sites hacked for Qiao Qiao's sake, you'll have to restore them back now."
Growing up at Qiao Zhengguo's side, Qiao Xier wasn't ignorant of politics. On the contrary, she saw through such things more clearly than most. And because she did, she refused to be swept along by them—that was why she'd gone south to Meining.
"Qiao Qiao, I can hear there's more behind your words. Don't tell me you're the one who had those sites hacked? That can't be… your fourth uncle said it was some super-powerful thing called Blizzard…"
"Grandpa, that's not important. What matters is—I can restore everything to normal. But you have to agree to one condition."
"Oh, bargaining with Grandpa now, huh? Alright, tell me. As long as I can do it, Grandpa will listen to you."
Qiao Xier tilted her head toward Zhang Yang, gently pulled the blanket back over him where it had slipped, stuck out her tongue playfully at his sleeping face, then turned back with a smile and said softly, "Grandpa, I want you to convince Grandma and Mom not to interfere with my love life."
"Looks like you really like that Zhang Yang kid, huh? I can agree, but when are you going to bring my grandson-in-law home?"
"Who said he's your grandson-in-law, Grandpa? So, do you agree or not?"
"Even if I agree, it won't help. Your grandma and mother might not listen to me."
"Grandpa's word is law at home. You can't handle such a small thing? I don't believe that. Fine, if you don't agree, then I won't solve your problem."
"Hey, hey, Qiao Qiao, wait, I'll agree! But are you sure you can fix that… Blizzard thing?"
"Leave it to me."
"You're not telling me you were behind all this, are you?" Qiao Zhengguo's eyes widened at her confident tone.
Wasn't his granddaughter studying biological targeted drugs?
Since when did she know so much about computers? No—this wasn't just knowledge. This was hacking mastery.
Even the country's top cybersecurity experts couldn't deal with that thing. That wasn't something any ordinary hacker could pull off.
"Grandpa, don't worry about that. Just know that in forty minutes, it'll all be over." Qiao Xier checked the time—it was already 4 p.m. Zhang Yang had been asleep for hours; it was about time he woke up.
"Qiao Qiao, Grandpa will hold you to that. But if you two really did this, won't there be traces left behind?"
Qiao Zhengguo didn't know much about computers, but his fourth son loved to show off about backdoors and traces at home, so he knew a thing or two about hackers.
"Don't worry, Grandpa. If there were any traces, fourth uncle would've already taken care of them, right?"
"That's not how it works. Just because your fourth uncle couldn't doesn't mean the cybersecurity bureau can't. But fine, just get everything back to normal as soon as possible. I'll handle the rest."
After hanging up, Qiao Xier couldn't help but smile faintly. She turned to glance at Zhang Yang—he was still fast asleep. Looks like she really had worn him out last night.
Still, she had to admit—he looked pretty damn good when he slept. Her heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively leaned closer, quietly crawling beside him to get a better look.
But then, Zhang Yang suddenly reached out in his sleep, wrapped an arm around her neck, and pulled her close.
"Mmph!" Caught off guard, Qiao Xier's face landed right on his lips—mouth to mouth.
Her eyes flew wide open. When did this bastard wake up?
"You… you…"
"What about me, sweetheart?" Zhang Yang opened his eyes with a teasing grin. "Qiao Qiao, what's this about grandson-in-law and love life, huh?"
"You jerk! You were eavesdropping on me!" Qiao Xier blushed furiously and pounded his chest with her fist.
"Hey, hey, I wasn't eavesdropping. Someone's voice just woke me up, that's all…"
"Ugh, whatever. Since you heard everything, get up already and get to work."
"Sure, no problem. But first, let me kiss you…"
"In your dreams… mmph…"
Zhang Yang sealed her rosy lips with his. Though he wasn't unfamiliar with their taste, maybe because it had been a while—or maybe because he'd just mastered Advanced Bedroom Technique—he felt a burning heat rising from below, an urge he could hardly contain.
And with Qiao Xier's fragrant, alluring body right beside him, so close he could feel her warmth, he couldn't help the desire building inside him.
Qiao Xier wasn't prepared for this. As Zhang Yang's lips claimed hers, their kiss deepened until she was breathless, her cheeks flushed. She was the tallest among Zhang Yang's women, but now, pinned beneath him, she couldn't move an inch.
Staring up at Zhang Yang's increasingly heated gaze, she grew shy—because even a fool would know what he wanted.
To be honest, she knew this day would come sooner or later. She just hadn't expected it to be this soon. She pouted, about to speak, when Zhang Yang kissed her again. His hand slid around her back, lifting her blue sports top up to her chest, revealing a lace-trimmed floral bra.
Qiao Xier felt a chill on her skin and instinctively arched her body, curling her long legs. But Zhang Yang's hand deftly unclasped her bra with a click, letting it fall away.
A pair of full, snow-white breasts bounced free, trembling before his eyes.
